Other activities include walking along the shores of lake Olbolosat, picnic at the same lake and a visit to the magical blue waters of Nyakanja.

Purity home is very beautiful. My family enjoyed beautiful landscape', cool enviroment and offcourse very responsive and friendly host. I would recommend her home to anyone traveling to Nyahururu.

Jackie's place is super serene. The photos does not do it justice. The area is pretty serene and silent, perfect if you need to unwind and reset. It is well secured (with a guard on constant standby) and with a supermarket that is closely located. Jackie was responsive (despite my delayed responses) and she was quite super caring. I look forward to a future visit to her place and experience her hospitality once again.

A modern three-story building features a blend of gray stone and cream accents. Large windows are framed with dark grills, allowing natural light to illuminate the exterior. A gated entrance with a low fence is visible, complemented by manicured flower beds in the foreground.

lf you want to enjoy some solitude and some peace and quiet for a while, then the Good Ol Days Farmhouse may just be the place to be. It is a little of the track, but provides the most enjoyable experience of being in the country. The hospitality is truly to be commended.

A neatly arranged platter showcases a variety of fresh salads, including chopped vegetables and coleslaw. Crispy falafel balls, lemon wedges, and chips are also presented alongside small bowls containing tangy dips. The vibrant colors and textures create an inviting display on a wooden table.

Maverick Camp Rondavels & Homestay

Rural and quite isolated, right on the border of the Aberdare Range, plants fragrant all around, perfect to walk around and explore. Hard to get to as well on a long dirt road. You just get there and you stay. Beautiful sunsets on the restaurant balcony. Isaac did everything to make our stay comfortable, including adapting dinners to our vegetarian diet, offering teas and coffees and providing buckets of hot water in the mornings to replace a shower. He showed us round the area and his farm and helped us to connect to where we were and getting to know how the local community works. He even provided medicine for relief of a cold that we had caught. I should mention the price of dinners was quite steep compared to what we had been paying in other locations but Isaac is trying very hard to make Maverick Camp a success and it is well worth a visit.
