Lake houses in Lake McDonald

Jenna s Place for our Family of 6 was very adequate - Family Spas a real highlight! Would Describe the Lakehouse as a 2 Bedroom Place with a shared Bunk in downstairs living space & loft bedroom with 2 x single beds only accessible via a steep ladder - Not really adequate for our adult children - The only negative was the Lake level being at the end of a shallow bay NO Water at all out The front so looked nothing like the photos not saying this is deliberate but i think when you book a lakehouse and pay accordingly and there is no water out the front it was a bit disappointing - Other than that the place was in a beautiful peaceful location - Lots of kayaks & paddle boards available so we were atleast able to carry down to water and had a couple of great afternoons paddling around lake ! Overall we enjoyed our stay !

Wow! This is the most amazing place! The cabin itself is in a wonderful location- right inside the entrance to Glacier and in walkable distance to Apgar and Lake McDonald. The house is cozy, clean and has every amenity (and more!) that you could ever want in an AirBNB. There is a helpful app that they provide ahead of time that gives you all of the information you need to enjoy the area. It was such a great place for our family to unwind and a great place to use as a base camp in exploring Glacier!

Wonderful Airbnb and absolutely worth it for the view and short drive to town and Glacier. Laurel was an exceptional host and everything has well manicured and clean.

Loved watching the deer play in the yard and the geese families float around with their babies while drinking my morning coffee. Absolutely enchanting. The benches around the fire pit were a great touch. Anything and everything we could’ve needed was stocked in the house. Only a one hour drive away from Glacier National Park! We look forward to returning !

One walks in the door... and wow... let the vacation begin! The view is truly breathtaking! This home is a true gem and was perfect for our family's gathering. With three adult daughters, one with her fiancee, and me with my husband, the four bedroom home provided plenty of private space as well as common spaces. The kitchen was well appointed and allowed us to make many meals in to enjoy the location. We enjoyed the BBQ grill one night as well. The dining table was perfect for meals and puzzle making. The screened porch was perfect, too. Other amenities: a dreamy lakefront hot tub, and kayaks and a paddle boat to play on the lake. We didn't take advantage of the fire pit, but firewood was available. Hal provided restaurant recommendations and we explored a few of these. We also went into the amazing Glacier National Park, which is a 90 minute enjoyable drive We would definitely love to stay here again in the future, as there is so much to explore. Thanks for this beautiful home!

Well, what an experience!!. From the minute i booked to pulling out of the driveway to end our stay, it was sensational. The hospitality is personal, appropriate and just feels good. The property exceeded my expectations. The house is beautifully appointed, evry nook and cranny. My boys and I were very comforatble. The location is perfect for nature lovers as well as just getting lost in pease and quiet. This was a very personal trip forv my family and it delivered on every point. Our stay in Somers at the Hilltop Cottage will always be a cherished memory. Our hosts, Mark and Liv, were friendly, welcoming, and always responsive. They made us feel at home immediately. The house is charming, quiet, and private with amazing views of Flathead Lake and the surrounding mountains. It is also close to all the wonderful amenities available all year long in Flathead Valley and surrounding area. Somers is a quaint community, great for long walks, bike rides, and with easy access to Flathead Lake. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend.

This is a great place to relax. Has everything you need, is peaceful and the view is terrific. Sunsets over the lake and a sky full of stars. George had all set up perfect for us. We will stay there again.

Quiet, comfy cabin right on the lake. We enjoyed using the paddle boards and hopping on the lake. Big Fork was a cute little town to explore for about half a day as well! Scott is very friendly and informative.

Beautiful location and property. We’re from Kalispell so we were really familiar with this area. Recommend for anyone!!!!

I set out to find a new place I’ve never been and be at peace and somewhat anonymous. This cabin checks all of these boxes. The cabin was cozy and well suited to have a cocktail on the porch at night, close up quick to go to town, or to cook your own food. I was surrounded by natures serenity in comfort and zero outside noise. The hosts were more than responsive and helpful. They made the visit easy and took a lot of pride in their little place. It was their home at one point while building what they call the main house. I would recommend this cabin and stay 100 out of 10. Lots of great stories in their travel journal for the house. Thanks guys. I will be back at some point to catch some of those great views and fresh air!!!

As a photographer this is an ideal location for me as many of the places are closed at the end of September. The property has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Linda was great! Very helpful and responsive. The barn was very peaceful, very close the beach. I loved watching the sunset and watching the deer cross the field at night. Over all you will feel right at home.

Fort Rollins B&B was a great haven away from regular life (peaceful, remote & lovely). Beautiful location right on the water! Watched sunrise and sunset every day! Jason and Andrea so friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home and special! Breakfast was amazing:) Also lots to do…kayaking, biking, zip lining, a swing over the water, tiki bar and more! We didn’t want to leave.

Great location being 8 miles from GNP entrance. Loved the lake view especially sitting on the porch! Very clean abs comfortable beds. Rachael was very accommodating and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights! Very comfortable!

My husband and I booked this place for our 19th anniversary. First trip to Montana and it did not disappoint! We had the best time! Denise was helpful with places to check out for hiking and food. I will note that a good portion of the Going to the Sun Road was closed for the season as was the Whitefish Ski lodge (it opens back up in Dec for skiing). However we still enjoyed our stay and could get as far as Avalanche Lake trails on the GTTSR. Lake McDonald was beautiful and we had two clear days to see the mountains. The house was clean and spacious, and the view was amazing. There is a train that runs every two hours very close to the house but honestly didn’t disturb us too much. Columbia Falls is a beautiful little town and this house is great location from airport, shops, restaurants and hiking. We plan to come back to explore more of Glacier Park. We loved our stay!

We loved the location at West Glacier and James home is perfect for a family gathering. It has a great layout with plenty of space. A well supplied kitchen made cooking enjoyable for my family. The setting is private and dreamy so close to the river and golf course. Thank you James for creating such a comfortable space for our enjoyment.

My friends and I loved our stay at this Airbnb! It was exactly what we needed to spend our nights after visiting glacier national park for the day. The location was perfect, as it was so close to the entrance of the park. Great find!

The Loft is an awesome place to stay while in the Flathead Valley area. Very comfortable and cozy. The area is very peaceful with amazing views.

11/10 recommend! We absolutely loved our stay here and adored everything about it. Not a single expense was spared in the design. The private hot tub and sauna is such a unique offer that will make it hard to stay elsewhere. Every little touch made it feel just like home, despite being so much nicer than home. We cannot wait to return!

Pop's Place was just as described - on a hillside, with a beautiful view of the valley below. Danielle provided directions which I didn't follow at first - I let Google Maps lead me to the wrong driveway - I could see Pop's Place but couldn't get to it! Once I re-read the directions and followed them I was able to make it up the rather steep gravel driveway and into the cabin at the top of the stairs. It's a charming A-frame cabin with a nice large deck and roomy kitchen/family area. The master bedroom was a comfy king size bed on the 2nd floor of the 2-story rental space. The owners live on-site in the ground floor basement - but we never even knew they were around they were so quiet and kept to themselves. There is a first-floor bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a hall bath along with the well-appointed family room and large kitchen/dining which open onto the large deck overlooking the valley - great sunsets! There is also a loft bedroom above the kitchen,open to below.

Beautiful location. We appreciated the bear spray and other amenities.

The house was amazing, we saw so much wildlife. Our host Jessica was amazing as well. The house was stocked well with everything we need to cook with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway if you're in that area. Thank you Jessica for such a pain free stay.
