Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lake Macquarie

We loved out week-long stay at the multi-level home that looks out over Lake Macquarie. The huge windows mean that you can see out in to the treetops and beyond to the lake from wherever you are in the house. Loved the coffee machine and the big kitchen. Every morning the kookaburras would wake us up with a brief greeting.

The surroundings of the house are nice and quiet sauna and spa. The response from the host is quick and the house is clean and comfortable.

my friends and i had an amazing weekend stay here. the location was very convenient and everything was just as pictured. we loved the extra long table which was able to seat everyone as well as the cosy fireplace - perfect for a cold night. courtney and jade were also very responsive and friendly in our correspondences. would definitely come back here whenever we visit the area!

Loved the house. The layout was perfect. Bedrooms not close together, 2 bathrooms, everything elese in between. The views are stunning. Love having cows, horses and sheep roaming close. Loved it.

We loved our stay. Patricia’s place is the perfect little lake house with a very quaint appeal and everything you could need for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sunrise and enjoying the lake, will be back.

we stayed at Villa Nessa for a bucks weekend with 14 guys, and it was absolutely perfect. The house was immaculate, spacious, and felt more like a home than a rental. There were plenty of comfortable beds, large living areas, and a fully equipped kitchen that made group meals easy. The spa was a standout feature—hot, clean, and ideal for relaxing after a long day. The location was quiet and peaceful, yet still close to everything we needed. Although we didn’t meet Vanessa in person, she was an exceptional host. Her communication was prompt, polite, and super helpful from start to finish. She made everything smooth and stress-free, even with a large group. It’s clear she puts a lot of care into making the home welcoming and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our mate’s upcoming wedding. Highly recommended to any group looking for a clean, relaxing, and well-managed stay. Would definitely return to Villa Nessa

Very well positioned and maintained property. Easy to find, check in was simple and the whole place was spotless. It was very convenient place to stay. Lovely to sit on the front covered verandah and look out on the lake.

Knights ridge felt like you were in your own secret valley , surrounded by ancient rock walls . Peaceful and uplifting . A picture out every window . Lots of rain just before our stay so the Creek was flowing and a vibrant green gully Lovely autumn colours . Lots of space and everything you needed for a peaceful break away from city life . The house was rustic and inviting with many collected unique pieces . Lots of space and different places to just be in the moment . Big sunny deck to relax Beautiful warm fire 🔥 that kept the house cosy . We spent 3 magic days there Loved it was off grid and so private . We definitely like to come back one day 💕

We had a wonderful time staying at Alison's place in Bar Beach. The location is amazing so close to the beach and Darby St, and the apartment is huge with lots of space to spread out and relax. I only wish we had stayed there longer to really make the most of it!

My partner and I had a lovely getaway to Rebecca’s Treetop house. The place was brilliantly clean and organised and everything in great condition. We would highly recommend to anyone!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Anna’s place! The apartment was spacious and clean, and in a great location close to beaches, bush walking trails and shops. We especially loved the balcony and living room spaces - they were comfortable and allowed us to take in the wonderful surrounds of Kincumber. Thanks Anna!

Great place for a weekend in Killcare! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, modern and had everything we could need for a lovely stay!

We loved the Bond House apartment. Despite the unusual access across the park it was well worth it once inside. Eclectic stylishly furnished spacious apartment well located for East Newcastle. A well stocked larder and great laundry space if you need it. Bathrooms very modern with heated towel rails and big fluffy towels! Beds very comfy too

10/10 highly recommend getting the Mongolian lamb from the Chinese shop. Drove my Tesla here from Sydney, there’s a supercharger 20m away. Parking is easy, lots of good food and the coffee shop downstairs are really nice to us as they have good relationship with Airbnb host.

Experience was great from beginning till the end. Place was nice and views were amazing. jaccuzi was hreat also. one of the nicest air bnbs ive been too. would highly reccomend

Wow! What a stay. Host was incredibly fast to reply to messages and so friendly. We had the most amazing stay at this property, every room was beautiful and the house was so clean. We will definitely stay here again!

This place is magical. We returned a second year in a row and this time was even better. If you want to get off the grid and forget Covid, masks and all the stresses of life, the Villa doesn’t disappoint!

What a beautiful, peaceful place that had all the necessary amenities a 2 min walk from the spectacular pearl beach. It was perfect & Carla and Chloe were great hosts and were very generous to give us a late check out on Sunday. The spa is pretty special although a bit finicky if you don’t know how to use it - thankfully our hosts were very responsive in helping with this. My only note is to maybe make sure if you need more linen/towels than what they provide for the 4 doubles and one single bed (9 people). We booked the house for 11 (there is a room with fold out couches) but those 2 guests didn’t get towels or linen. Final thing is the property has close neighbours so there are a lot of rules to do with noise etc. This makes sense as I assume the hosts have been burned before and must protect their relationship with the local community but if you want somewhere you can feel free to sing your heart out around the fire pit until the wee hours go elsewhere. Among the Vines is a beautiful country home in a spectacular setting. Exactly what we wanted for our Hunter Valley retreat. Surrounded by vines and kangaroos, the house is well provisioned with a great kitchen, comfortable beds and cosy lounge with fireplace. Beautiful views from all the rooms, with just the right mix of style and comfort. The location is perfect, just minutes in all directions to the fabulous wineries and restaurants in Pokolbin. Matt is extremely responsive, with clear and helpful instructions, one of the best hosts I have experienced. And his manager Jaeden made sure the home was presented with impeccable attention to detail. We will definitely stay again! Thanks Matt, you clearly have a passion to help your guests have a wonderful experience in the Hunter Valley! Cheers

Gorgeous spot for a getaway from the city. Close to everything in the Hunter, but well away from everything and everyone. Super easy to find and get there, check-in/out was a breeze. All the information you need is provided. Great amenities especially in the kitchen. Accomodation is a beautiful space indoors and out. Amazing afternoon walks around the property. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay! We found the property to be exactly what we were looking for, a nice getaway that made you feel disconnected and relaxed. The property is set up perfectly to bring your dog, with the secure area around the villa that allows them to explore without worry. Zoe the resident dog is also great host and very welcoming, she would come a visit each day to make sure that we were comfortable. She was very friendly and got along well with our dog, she even came along with us for one of our walks and showed us the way. We had a great time and would highly recommend staying here. We hope to return one day, thankyou Kylie for being a great host!

Our third time staying at Brokenback & we will definitely be back. The villa is lovely and very well appointed, great location close by to all of Hunter Valley’s attractions. The veranda with a comfortable lounge is a highlight, watching the stars at night from there is magical.
