The apartment is beautiful and fully furnished in the historic District of East Haddam close to Rt 9 or 2, the Goodspeed Opera House, River House and CT Shoreline. Gillettes Castle, Fox Hopyard, Devils Hopyard, & more. Just 20 minutes to Middletown and wonderful dining. This apartment is in the 1800 section and has some quirky things to be aware of, floor that have uneven heights, stairs to the bedroom and , a claw foot tub/shower that you have to step into and a full flight of stairs to get in.

My place is located up the hill from Good Speed Opera House. The Opera House is on the same side of the river as my place. The folklore is that vacationers used to pay a penny to have their belongings transported by ox and wagon from the port at the river to this corner. A two family home built in 1884. The space is a ground level 1 bedroom apartment with private entrance. There is no TV in the unit, WIFI is available for your devices.

The house was immaculate and exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the well -equipped kitchen and even included flour, spices and sauces. Top quality everywhere. We hiked in the adjacent state park and enjoyed that immensely. The game room was fun with billiards and pinball as well as other games. Alexa activated all the lights on voice command. Hosts met us when we arrived and walked us through the house. We hope to return each year.

He was very accommodating...even let us in a little early on the day we checked in because he knew we were traveling. We had a great stay and will be back when we are in the area!

The home itself was spotless, modern, and thoughtfully maintained. Every room felt comfortable and inviting, and the clean, updated aesthetic made it the perfect place to relax between events and get ready for our big day. It truly felt like a peaceful retreat during a very special time in our lives. We had a great stay at Andrew and Jessica‘s place! Jessica was super responsive to any questions or requests and quickly resolved any minor issues. The room was the perfect size for my wife and I. Bed was comfortable and the entire studio was clean. Short drive to the wedding we attended at St. Clement’s Castle in Portland. Awesome coffee shop, ECO Coffee, is within walking distance, so is the Rails to Trails walking trails. Perfect alternative to a hotel!

We had a wonderful weekend at Deborah’s place. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend close to the casinos and beaches. We enjoyed time fishing on the property, playing cornhole, and roasting marshmallows. Deborah was so kind and hospitable. She left us so many snacks and items for breakfast ❤️ we appreciated it so much. Definitely would recommend staying
