Vacation rentals with a kayak in Lake Hartwell

I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

This was one of my most favorite stays! This was like something out of a movie. Truly, this is the ultimate lake house with the epitome of what everyone envisions when they think lake house. The orange house was decorated beautifully, but not overdone, perfect lake house ambiance. The top deck view of the home over looking the lake was nothing short of magical. Whether it rained or not, it was wonderful to sit and view inside and stay put. The direct doc access and water toys in addition to games, WiFi, and the state of the art hot tub, made this a vacation with choices. With so much available to do, we were never bored. Waking up to deer in the front yard and a visit from the lake cat, it felt like we were in a fairytale. My daughter, boyfriend, and I truly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come back and stay here again. Marvin was an amazing host making sure we got in okay and asking if we needed anything. I feel fully refreshed coming back from vacation. So grateful!

AMAZING! Christine’s place is an absolute gem and she is an absolutely amazing host. Everything was as planned and even more. Great lake community, really peaceful with a 2 min walk to beach area. House was perfect size and spotless. This is a great spot and Christine is super helpful and responsive. Also was surprised how short of a drive it was from all the things you could need, restaurants, stores, etc. and best of all real close to Clemson!

We had a lovely stay in Lauren's home. You feel like you're living in the Brady Bunch house! Classic 1960s everything. The beds and seating were all very comfortable, and we enjoyed the abundant decks, the hammock, the kayak, the TV... the kitchen had everything you could want, and we appreciated the extra bag of ice and cans of sparkling water they left for us. We highly recommend it. If you're more noise-sensitive, we recommend the downstairs bedroom, which is insulated from the noisier/brighter open layout of the upstairs.

Three generations and our dog had a great stay at Portman’s Paradise. It was perfect for our group size. The accommodations were exactly as shown in the photos and the home was clean and spacious. The loft room was a great additional space to relax. The view was beautiful. When the power went out in the neighborhood, the host was quick to reach out and let us know, keep us updated and was responsive to answer our questions.

Our host was so kind and for that I am so thankful! The home and property are beautiful. The kitchen is way better equipped than any other place I’ve stayed (at least 10 different ones) which is awesome if you love to cook like me and are there cooking a holiday feast! Y’all, no place will feel perfect because no other place is your own home but this place comes close. Ildi’s responsiveness and kindness are the icing on the cake. We had a simple and pleasant experience here at the lake house and that’s all that we prayed for.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s the perfect get away on the lake for big groups. It is in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could need. 10/10 recommend!!

Beautiful home and host was very responsive. Would recommend staying here if you want a nice get away. About 40 minutes from Clemson University, a little too far for us.

I highly recommend this lakeside home for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable vacation on Lake Hartwell. Our recent stay was a delightful experience, offering the perfect blend of peace, quiet, and easy access to the lake. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into creating a welcoming and memorable experience for their guests. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful relaxing week at the lake. The house was inviting and cozy and stocked with everything we needed. The exterior was very well maintained with beautiful landscaping. Mary was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

A lovely spot on Hartwell. We really enjoyed our time at this lakeside cottage and loved the views of the lake from the screened-in porch. It's perfect for a couples getaway or even a small family. We had everything we needed throughout our stay :) – beds were comfortable, plenty of bath towels were provided, and our hosts really thought of everything. Would absolutely stay at Bryan and Gina's lake home again!

This was the ULTIMATE water sport place to be. I have 3 boys that tore it up like crazy. It felt like every water sport thing you could ever want was there. And the location was phenomenal. My only slight critique is clutter, but I am a minimalist. Highly recommend.

We loved Christy’s lake house. The pictures do the place justice. The view of the lake is fantastic; and the sunsets were great! We used the fire pit on the patio three nights as the sun went down. Very peaceful. The home was roomy, clean, and the screen porch and the deck with the awning were comfortable and had great views of the lake. Very quiet at night. Beds were comfortable, towels were soft. We used the Kayaks at the dock. They’re stable. Paddles and swim mattresses were in the attached garage. Lot’s of stuff to do in the area. Sadlers Creek State Park, Big Water Marina, close to Anderson, and a little over an hour to Helen, GA. A great place to stay. Bring your boat. There’s a covered boat slip to park it at the dock. You wont’ be disappointed.

Super easy to get in and out and worked out well over thanksgiving. They have great lake access so we need to return in summer!

Great spot on the lake! The living area and outdoor areas are perfect for a group to enjoy. The kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal including seasonings. The dock is great and it’s on a cove so the water is calm and safe for swimming. The nearby town of Hartwell is awesome too. Jonathan and Madison were excellent hosts, very friendly and communicative plus easy going. Highly recommend!

Awesome place to get away and relax. The kids had tons to do, the house and dock are full of amenities, and the hosts were super helpful and responsive. We hope to make it an annual tradition!

This place was so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed on the dock or around the fire pit. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the deck with the gorgeous lake views. Never even turned the TV on. The house was clean and well stocked. There’s lots to do in the area as well. Definitely will be back.

Our Family of 9 enjoyed our time together at the Lizard Lodge Lake house. There was plenty of room for us all, and beds were very comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen to make meals in. It is located in quiet community with lots of wildlife. I’m glad I brought my binoculars for birdwatching. The hot tub was amazing as well. The kids Loved the lake! Highly recommend.

We loved our vacation on the lake in Tamassee! The location was perfect. We went on 2 beautiful hikes in nearby Nantahala National Forest (highly recommend) and spent lots of time on the beautiful lake jocassee and keowee. The house had everything we needed, was private and peaceful, and we saw lots of wildlife. Tom was very responsive, but we hardly needed to reach out because we had everything we needed.

Exceptional accomodations. We arrived and enjoyed the dock on the lake with a glass of wine. it's a very calm, peaceful and relaxing location. the house is perfect, extremely clean and well kept. everything is organized and easy to use. including a kitchen spices, coffee filters and ice. we stayed here for a work trip; 3 adults. each professional had their own private bedroom and bathroom. it was well sorted and payed out so we had the comfortable vibe of a relaxing space of home but had our own personal areas. it was an epic alternative to a hotel. we used th BBQ grill for dinner and loved it's use. wrapped the evening with a fire - the host had even stacked the sticks in the fire pit so it was already for us to use. again, everything well currated, clean and easy. I hope to return again on vacation. it's perfect for a few nights and or a week stay. very safe and quiet neighborhood, respectful. highly recommend! I travel often and this is a gem!

Peaceful and relaxing is what t our family felt once we arrived. We had 10 guests at the lake house and all were accommodated. We had a blast! Our daughter’s high school graduation getaway was a huge success. Thank you to Brandi for her quick responses and assistance throughout our stay. I read reviews prior to booking which stated Brandi was responsive as well as proactive. All I can say is, it’s all true. Brandi was an excellent host, we were missing a paddle for a kayak. We let Brandi know as per instruction and she followed through by ordering a new kayak paddle. It arrived an hour after we asked, truly awesome! The water level was shallow, safe for our 5 year old granddaughter to enjoy all the water activities as well, definitely a plus. I’ll say it again, if we could hug you we would. We had a memorable, wonderful time with family. What better place than at a lake house. We booked during the Memorial Day Weekend.

Loved the cottage. Right on the lake and very secluded. Great place to relax and get some work done.
