The location was beautiful! Close to downtown galena, plenty of things to do around the house. Private and peaceful, if you’re looking for a place to stay out here we recommend this place!

Vickie's home was an amazing place to stay during our trip to Galena. The home was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. It was close to restaurants. We enjoyed sitting out on the peaceful porch, and it was great that we could bring our dog. Vickie is a wonderful host, and we would stay here again!

This house was perfect and the host was great. The host responded instantly to two questions and took the time to drop off extra amenities. Rooms were clean dn comfortable and great location.

Johnny was extremely accommodating and was there within 20 minutes when I needed him. Very personable and friendly, made me felt like I knew him all my life. Will definitely book again in the future!

Great get away retreat for my family. Close enough to town for daytime fun but then enough distance to be solo in the evening. We slept comfortably, showers were perfect, and the kitchen was clean and spacious for cooking homemade meals. Thanks Joe!

Had a great time! The space was perfect for us. The bakery across the road was delicious and so convenient to grab a quick treat/breakfast. A quick drive to downtown and access to everything. Had a few kid toys that my Toddlers loved! Would highly recommend.

Jared’s place had everything we needed to feel at home. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen was well stocked with the necessities and the appliances were very clean. The bathroom amenities included shampoo, conditioner, and lotion (nice extra) and were also very clean. The beds were comfortable and the living space was furnished well to accommodate us. The townhome is an end unit which added to the peacefulness of the experience in the territory.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was incredibly spacious, clean, and perfect for our family, including my mother-in-law’s two small dogs. It was very dog-friendly, which made things so much easier and more comfortable for us. The host was very friendly and responsive throughout our stay. They even left us a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. The house had a lot of great amenities that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was its proximity to a horse riding facility, just a short distance away, where we got to enjoy horseback riding, which was such a memorable experience. The community pool was about a 5-minute drive away and looked beautiful. Although we didn’t get a chance to swim, we did use the tennis and basketball courts, which added to the fun. Overall, this was a great place to stay. We would absolutely recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway!

This cabin was the perfect retreat from our busy lives. It was in a peaceful, quiet area with deer and wild turkeys walking through the backyard. The cabin was very clean, inside and outside. The landscape was beautiful and everything is within a short drive from the lake to the local winery to the restaurants on Main Street. We had such a wonderful stay and hope to visit again soon!

We all enjoyed our stay here. The house was big enough for 9 adults to be in comfortably. Everything we needed was in the hose for a wonderful stay. Being able to use the Owners Club amenities was amazing.

We had a lovely time at this beautiful, cozy and spacious home! The area was full of nature with opportunities to just sit outside and relax or to enjoy the amenities inside the home. Sabrina was always available, understanding and accommodating for us while there. I would definitely stay again!

Our family traveled here from Chicago to visit our Dubuque family & this house will be our 2nd home away from home. This house was very clean and had a lot of amenities. The house was very comfortable and Abbey responds very quickly to your messages. I will definitely rent house again!♥️

The location was perfect for us. Although it is above a bar, I can say the music did not bother is. She does provide eat plugs which we did not need to use. we spent one of our evenings at the grape escape. Highly recommend for live music. The space was perfect for us as well, walkable and was able to find close parking. Finally even though all directions and information were on the app, Catherine still responded to our questions on text. Great place. We will be back !

Beth was very communicative before and during our stay. The house was nicely decorated, and furnished clean and exactly as we expected. I appreciated that we were able to leave without starting laundry, dishwashers, etc. The kitchen had a lot of useful utensils and supplies. We didn't do much cooking, but we could have easily prepared most anything we wanted. The beds and furniture was very comfortable. There were plenty of games and activities to do at the house; we did not utilize the community rec areas, but that was only due to our own agenda and time limitations. My only recommendation would be that blackout curtains in the bedrooms would have been greatly appreciated. I was up at 5:30am some mornings because of light pouring into the bedroom on the main floor.

We took a very last-minute trip from Chicago over Memorial Day weekend and ended up having the best time! We truly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside, and our kids absolutely loved interacting with all the animals. Just as promised, their sweet dog Teddy greeted us upon arrival, and their goat Goose made a fun morning appearance. Joan and Jean were both incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We had a small issue the first night (completely out of their control), but they responded promptly and went out of their way to ensure it was resolved quickly. The location is great—peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to explore nearby spots like Galena and even Dubuque, IA, which is just under an hour away. It was exactly the kind of getaway we needed to unplug from the hustle and bustle of city and work life. Thank you again for everything—we hope to be back soon!

This townhome was beautiful, peaceful and had a lot of amenities compared to others in Galena. I stayed at Dana's place with my 6 year old daughter and basset hound for our girls trip. My daughter loved running around the front and back lawn, going on walks and the pool which is in walking distance. The home is very welcoming and clean! The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has every tool you could need. My daughter loved sitting on the deck with me using the "fancy" plastic glasses for her juice! We will definitely be back!

This was a great place to relax. All the amenities were great! The description of the front of the house was slightly miss leading from the pictures. I did think that it was wheel chair accessible from the pictures. Then found that the front of the house has stairs leading down a hill leading to the house. However as I did not request wheel chair accessibility this is not a complaint just an observation. The house was amazing! Some few minor details were discussed with the owners and they were fabulously responsive. We followed thier instructions to the letter when entering and leaving. I loved that the grill is near the hot tub as I was able to relax while my son did the cooking! lol! Lots of fun! We enjoyed the game room and the fact that the TV is in every room! A must for older adults ! The location is near all the amenities! Which was perfect! We were able to book massages and get there within 5 minutes. Thank you so much for allowing us to be there!

We stayed there for 4 days for a family retreat. We absolutely loved how peaceful and secluded the house is and enjoyed everything about this beautiful house - especially the grill on the balcony. Galena and Dubuque are both a 15-20 min drive away so it’s at a prime location for excursions around the area. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming - they accommodated our stay with our cat without a question. Our cat loved the backyard so much that he didn’t want to leave. Will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the tri-state area.

Catherine’s a great host. The apartment is very cozy/comfortable and right in the center of downtown. Walkable to pretty much everything. Won’t find a better stay in the area.
