Welcome to The Understory. Nestled deep in the rhododendron covered woods, this romantic hand-crafted tiny home offers you a peaceful and memorable stay just 15 minutes from both Asheville and Black Mountain. Inside consists of 350 square feet of comfortable living space including a rain shower, king sized bed, cozy wood stove and a full kitchen. Surrounding the cabin is another 500 square feet of living space with a deck, outdoor soaking bathtub, and patio with a fire pit and propane grill.

You’re only 15 minutes from Asheville, 16 minutes from the Biltmore, and 5 minutes from downtown Black Mountain. Our home features new furniture, LG appliances, and mattresses. EV owners can recharge with a ChargePoint level 2, 50-amp charger, fully charging in 6-8 hours. Enjoy a cozy and convenient stay!

Welcome to Scout's Den! A cozy retreat walkable to all of Black Mountain's amazing restaurants and shopping. This adorable garden studio is separate from the main house and has a carport with space for one vehicle. This is truly an escape! With no internet we encourage our guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and our small town charm. We do have a TV with a Super Nintendo and DVD player if you feel like staying in. We live on the property full time with our family.

Located in the Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, our cozy cabin is 2.5 miles from downtown Black Mountain, 13 miles from Asheville, and 8 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Minutes to hiking and biking trails and waterfalls. Enjoy 360 degree mountain views and a country setting on the outskirts of town.

Spruce Fork Cottage

Spruce Fork Cottage is a cozy cabin using some solar energy with 2 bedrooms, living/dining area, kitchen, and bathroom with shower. It is a prefect getaway for 1 to no more than 4 people and is within 20 minutes of Asheville, 15 minutes from Black Mountain, 10 minutes from market/gas. Areas to hike are close by or accessible via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mount Mitchell is an hour north on BR Parkway, Carl Sandburg is about an hour South. Everyone is welcome.

Our basement studio apartment is perfect for friendly couples, small groups, & young families who are looking for a cozy place to land after the day's adventures. We are 2.2mi to downtown Black Mountain & 23min drive to downtown Asheville. Surrounded by an abundance of nature, mature trees, & wildlife including bears.
