Vacation rentals with lake access in Lake County

Went here for my bachelorette weekend getaway and it was PERFECT. Could not have asked for a better place!

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

We had a blast at Donna & Peter’s place. Great for large parties that are visiting the north shore. Make sure to take advantage of the corn hole set and fireplace in the backyard!

There are Airbnbs that offer a stay, but the Tofte House provides an exceptional Airbnb experience. From start to finish this was a flawless process. The home offers everything you could possibly need from comfortable beds and a well stocked and labeled kitchen, and the serene lake and fauna provided a wonderful background, but the graciousness of Deidra sharing her enthusiasm of the house and the area is what made this trip comfortable, fun, rejuevinating and memorable. They have thought of everything to make your vacation special: we cant wait for the next trip!

We had such a peaceful trip and will 100% be back for a longer trip. The views are absolutely amazing, the lake is clean and beautiful. So quite and relaxing. Ely has some nice restaurants and we are looking forward to coming back to explore more.

exceptional lightning fast internet that enabled 2 remote workers to work all week without problems very clean and well kept space with lots of coffee to welcome us and keep us fueled for workdays and local adventures outside in the north shores area large easy parking was extremely safe and private, which was especially helpful because I was moving cross country and had my car loaded with personal items. never felt unsafe!

The house is exactly like the photos; everything was impeccable, and every detail is wonderful—the decor, the view of the lake, it’s fully equipped. Eric, Cindy, and Cassy were excellent hosts, and the communication was great. They have a coffee area on the second floor where they left us snacks, and downstairs in the kitchen, they have a popcorn machine and board games. They also provide blankets for the dogs. The location is perfect, a wonderful place to relax. The only thing I could suggest is adding a full-length mirror, especially if you’re traveling with vain women lol. On the last day, we had a small issue with the water flow due to a broken pump, but they gave us a refund for one night. It was very kind of them, although we enjoyed going down to the lake to shower there lol.

My family and I were very happy with: the location, the great water view from the balcony, the attached bookstore (a must visit), everything you need in Bayfield being within walking distance (including the ferries to the Apostle Islands & the Saturday morning farmer's market), the long list of amenities in the apartment, the cleanliness of the apartment, easily accessible parking spaces, and the quick and thorough responses from the hosts. Some patrons at the bar next door were laughing & having fun a little loudly outside on Friday night when we were going to bed, but the sound machines that were available in each of the bedrooms easily took care of it for us. (Saturday night, the patrons were quiet, but we still enjoyed using the sound machines.) We needed help with the airbed and the hosts took care of it promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location. Loved watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor from the porch. Place was clean, bed was comfortable and I loved the decor.

A lovely place to stay, only 3 block walk to shopping areas and coffee! We had our own private getaway and loved having a deck to relax on. Would absolutely come back next time we visit the area!

Pearl and Jim are great hosts, very easygoing and always helpful. The apartment is the lower unit, exactly as described. From the great window in the main room to the wonderful deck, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom with plenty of closet and drawer space, everything worked well. The garden and lawn that lead down to a small private beach are beautifully landscaped. The apartment was spotless and comfortable.

If you are fortunate enough, to spend some time on Minnesota’s North Shore, you won’t be disappointed staying here. Brenda and Tom‘s place is exactly as described. It is more than we expected. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to spend a vacation. The location is perfect and so scenic! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and even spotted an Eagle! We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Gooseberry Falls, Grand Marais, and the quaint town of Two Harbors.

This place was awesome! The hosts were very responsive and prompt to answer questions and accommodated us last minute. The views of the lake are amazing and the sandy beach was so relaxing. This place is serine! This place has everything you need for amenities. Close proximity to everything and Bayfield was about a 5 min drive. Thank you so much for a wonderful visit! We will definitely be back.

We had a perfectly lovely stay here. Walking distance to all the shops/restaurants, and real close to where you can catch the ferry to Madeline Island. Loved that it was above Wonderstate Coffee, we made sure to go there each day we were there! Would totally stay again!

Everything was great, would recommend it. Only advise would be to bring a sound machine if traveling with little kids because the noise travels from the conveniently located pool area and even though the walls of the condo

The cottage was perfect for our ladies weekend. There was 5 of us and we slept comfortably. The view of Lake Superior from our big window is the best thing! We woke up to sunrise on the lake and the view was just breathtaking! We did not do much besides hung out in the cottage and talk all weekend long! For the price we paid, we wanted to enjoy the cottage and view as much as possible. It definitely was well worth it!

We really enjoyed Paula's cottage. While small, we loved the authentic feel of a 100+ year old home. Paula did a really nice job updating without losing that authenticity. The location is great if you love enjoying the beauty that the north shore has to offer. We took advantage of the beach that is within walking distance as well as the many trails that are across the highway. Paula was a tremendous host, being quick to answer our questions and offer suggestions. We drove into Duluth multiple times, which is about 20 minutes away. Highly recommend!

The location was wonderful. There was everything you needed I the kitchen.

Gorgeous views & lovely walk to the lake (though the hike back tested my fitness!) the house was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of firewood, which helped us get through a few below zero days.

Had amazing Memorial Day weekend, could imagine spending it in any better spot! This will hopefully become a yearly trip for us until we can get our own piece of heaven up there! Highly recommend for anybody that loved to just get away from the world while being surround by some of the most beautiful land in North America and plenty of fun and peace.
