Lake City fishing places to stay

House is very clean and big. The house has very little clutter and an absolutely FANTASTIC view of the lake. Would be an excellent and spacious place to host a large number of people - you might be able to feed 15 people in the very large updated kitchen. Only drawback is a close proximity to a busy street that dampens the enjoyment of the outdoor space. Road noise was not noticeable indoors though. Again - STUNNING view of the lake and marina from the living room.

Great house. We were here for a wedding at Wood & Co - which was 1.6 miles away. The house was homey and well stocked. Had everything we could ask for. LOVED the front porch - that is where we spent most of our time when we were there. The train was loud and came by more often than I expected - but it gave the place even more ambiance. Just part of the uniqueness of this beautiful home and area. Mary is a great host - we would love to return to this quaint area along the river. Loved it!!

One of the best Airbnb's I have stayed at. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and the house was perfect!!

We had a family girls weekend at Megan’s place. We enjoyed every minute. It was Winona’s steam boat days and we were worried about noise and lots of people around but it was perfect. Far enough from the events but still close that we could enjoy too! The stairs were difficult for my grandmother but it worked out that she a bedroom downstairs as well for her! We had a great time and will definitely come again!

Great cabin and location! It had everything we needed for a party of 9! Rochester was super close to us as well in case we wanted to do something else. Jason was super communicative and prompt with responses. Thank you!

We so enjoyed our stay at this home in Lake City! It was perfect for a girls getaway. The backyard is beautiful with sun and shade options. We walked into town each day for coffee and lunch along the lake. Definitely recommend this home for your stay!

Overall it was a great stay! We knew this prior to arrival, but it’s worth noting that the level where you enter the residence has a good amount of steps in order to reach the main living area. We were in Lake City for a wedding so that meant armful’s of things up and back down the stairs. Just be careful! House was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The view of the lake from the residence was a bonus!

My family and I really enjoyed Wabasha. Slippery’s had great food and the National Eagle Center was really great! Things close early making the town very peaceful after 9:00pm…perfect time to sit on the dock and put your feet in the water. Beth’s home was beautiful and the craftsmanship of all the updates were outstanding. It had everything we needed and plenty of space. Also, the AC worked really well given we hit record heat warnings during our stay.

This was an amazing stay for our family! The place was very well stocked with kitchen necessities and bathroom/beach towels. Comfortable beds with extra pillows and blankets. Good sized, clean lake. 4 great kayaks and 2 paddle boards that have been well cared for and life jackets included. Extremely clean house. Small town WI, only one small bar in town but that was ok because we planned on staying at the house the whole time.

We enjoyed sitting on the patio, walking to the park, and making meals. The house was plenty spacious for four couples and some babies!

Great place! The view was phenomenal and the location was perfect! Walkable to downtown Hastings and convenient for going into the twin cities. House was clean and well kept.

This place is in a quiet neighborhood close to where we attended a wedding. It is true to the pictures and has all the amenities you would want. Directions and instructions were easy to follow. Would stay here again if I needed to stay in this area again.

Beautiful space. Clean, beautifully decorated, well-maintained. Loved sitting on the porch and the whirlpool! A block away from the river, shops and restaurants.

We stayed the weekend for a wedding and had a wonderful experience! We were specifically looking for a dog-friendly place, and their home checked all the boxes. Doug and Cara were incredibly friendly and responsive both before and during our stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The house is perfect for anyone who appreciates the unique feel of older homes. It was cozy and functional, and the master bedroom, where we stayed, was spacious with plenty of room to set up our two dog kennels! One thing to note: you do need to walk through the master bedroom to access the second bedroom, and the second room doesn’t have a door. This wasn’t an issue for us, but sharing for guests who may need more privacy. Overall, a great stay in a cozy and pet-friendly home. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Brittany and Daniel’s place! It was clean, comfortable, and so cute!! The hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with, and they’ve done a great job of making their place perfect for a weekend getaway. Would be happy to stay there again!!

I loved this tiny house! It was adorable, Clean, well layed out, very quiet location and the chickens on the property were adorable. We were in town for a wedding at woods and co and got the best location out of everybody at the event. 😀

We had a great time and really enjoyed the house! It’s centrally located, yet quiet at night, and the neighbors we ran into were very friendly. Our kids loved the heated pool (and the amazing pool toys!), and it was great being so close to the lake - each morning we walked the path/sidewalk to spot eagles and other wildlife. One night, we built a bonfire in the solo stove - super fun. Beau was also very communicative and responsive. Definitely a trip to remember!

Completely and beautifully redone home on a beautiful lot. Comfortable quiet, peaceful with all of the amenities of home highly recommend.

It has been a little over a week since I stayed at Hannah's Schoolhouse, and much of my delay is due to the worry that I might not be able to capture the experience accurately or effectively, as it was truly remarkable. I chose Hannah's Schoolhouse as the place to celebrate my 24th birthday as a solo adventure. I'm from the Midwest and have always been drawn to the landscape, agriculture, and environment that characterize this region. Spending a few days in a charming, old Midwest Schoolhouse seemed like more than an ideal way to usher in a celebration of life. As Hannah notes in the description of the stay, the drive from the Twin Cities and back is a wonderful one, offering scenic views. The kitchen and bathroom were equipped with all of the essentials, and the tub is worth reserving the stay alone. Lots of wildlife, farms (and their distinctive scents), and friendly locals at the Exile bar down the road. Coffee on the front steps, watching the sunrise! I will surely be back :)

My dog Hazel and I had a great few days at Joan’s tiny house! We loved the proximity to Menomonie and Downsville, we took long walks on the Red Cedar Trail and loved checking out Dunn County Pottery in town too. The tiny house was perfect - outfitted with everything we needed. Spent our days relaxing on the patio, reading and playing games. Would happily stay here again!
