Clean, spacious, and perfect for our needs! We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice house. Clean and family friendly. Kitchen is nice. There are a lot of bugs in the rain forest so keep the windows closed! Coming from Florida USA so bugs are normal, but if you are not use to the tropics then bring bug spray for mosquitos. If you are from CR, like my partner, then you already know to keep doors and windows shut especially at night. AC was nice to have after a long day of being outside. Very close to hot springs. The markets and restaurants are great. Overall this place is really nice for a chill small group of people. This stay made our small family reunion feel comfortable and complete. It was 6 and 1/2 of us (1 baby) but this place is actually bigger than we thought. Very spacious and more than enough bed space. House keeping rules are simple. AC off when you leave the house to save for the environment! I hope who ever reads this has a great time like we did! Thank you John and Tati for your great hospitality.

Beautiful place in a very convenient location in La Fortuna. Clean, safe, and well-equipped. We had enough resources to cook dinner and Jacuzzi was super relaxing, perfect when rain forced us to cancel plans. If we come back, we’d stay again, no doubt!

Jose, his family and friends were more than welcoming to us from the moment we came to the Airbnb! Quick responses and always there to lend us a hand or guide us to anything we may need! Amazing food at a local restaurant, horseback riding on his land with lots of things to see and learn about! His pool at the Airbnb was absolutely amazing! We loved getting to meet his family members and socializing with them! I would highly recommend this Airbnb to everyone in near the La Fortuna area!!! Ps wait until you see his 2nd one they are building right now!! Thank you soo very much! We loved everyone moment at your home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very walkable and easy to get a taxi as they are waiting to take you where you need to be. The home is great and peaceful. Toucans greeted us each morning at the balcony and sometimes in the evening. We did reach out to our host with a few questions and always got a quick response and even helped us with our check out as we were on tour. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Monteverde.

Words truly can't capture how incredible this property is! We've stayed in many Airbnbs across different locations, but nothing has come close to this experience. The home and grounds are absolutely stunning—but it was the location and our amazing hosts, David and Josie, that made this stay unforgettable. We arrived at the start of rainy season, but it didn’t dampen our stay at all—thoughtful touches like covered walkways and outdoor spaces made it easy to enjoy everything, rain or shine. From the abundant wildlife to the peaceful seclusion, and the wealth of local knowledge they shared, every moment was exceptional! This place is a gem!

It truly is a little slice of heaven! Pictures don’t come close to doing it justice! We stayed 3 nights. It was easy to get to and close to the La Fortuna area. We can’t recommend pie in the sky enough! From check in to checkout it was wonderful!

Great stay- while it was rainy during our stay it was a great place to be at since we could walk right across the parking lot to get to the sloth tours! Super great location- also very close to the chocolate tour we did (6 mins away!) and loved the hot tub

Nice quiet location with plenty of space and amenities. We only had the chance to stay for one night unfortunately but would be happy to go back on another trip. Support is available locally in case of anything needed during the stay which we made use of. Close to La Fortuna which is just a short drive away.

Genaro is a great host. Friendly, helpful and communicates well. All the information needed to have a seem-less experience was provided to us prior to arriving, which gave us a piece of mind. The room is very spacious and beautiful; the pictures do not do it justice. The area is walkable with great places to eat. The area is also quiet and serene which made enjoying the outdoor space relaxing including the volcano view from the rooftop terrace. Breathtaking! There is some construction in the area that can be heard during the day but it didn’t bother us much as we spent that time doing excursions. Would definitely recommend anyway and plan on returning!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The customer service was exceptional—our host was friendly, responsive, and made us feel welcome from the start. The private villa was stunning: spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless. It felt like our own peaceful oasis, with an incredible backyard area with a private pool and jacuzzi as well as a private area to park within it own sliding gate. The location was unbeatable—just minutes from downtown, with endless things to do nearby. We enjoyed exploring local restaurants, shops, and attractions, all within easy reach. Despite being so close to the action, the villa offered quiet, comfort, and privacy at the end of each day. It was the perfect balance of convenience and serenity. This stay exceeded our expectations. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, high-quality experience. We enjoyed our quick stay at Jason’s hideaway. It was beautiful and secluded. The pool was lovely. The outside shower was amazing. A very cool, unique experience.

Great place as a base for daytime activities in La Fortuna/Arenal. The place is in a neighborhood a 10 minute drive from downtown La Fortuna, and is clean and modern. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were able to book activities for us.

We had a wonderful stay at Ari's Airbnb! She welcomed us warmly, even with a bottle of local wine, despite our late arrival. The house was absolutely beautiful—clean, cozy, and surrounded by nature. We especially loved soaking in the hot tub after long days of exploring. It also had a well equipped kitchen and great art throughout. Ari was super responsive and kind. When we had trouble figuring out the hot water late at night, she was ready to help and even offered to send her partner over to help. We ended up solving it ourselves, but her offer meant a lot. We also had an accidental mix up with a personal item, and she graciously helped us coordinate its return with her family. Her communication was thoughtful and smooth throughout our stay. The whole experience felt easy, relaxing, and cared for. We couldn’t recommend her or her place more—it’s a perfect getaway spot with a truly great host.

Ok el lugar y el anfitrión son perfectos el problema es que dice San Ramón y tal vez les pase como a mí nos lo imaginamos como cerca de san Ramón centro pero no! Literalmente es peñas blancas está como a 20 o 25 min de la fortuna entonces si piensan en algo como más cerca es complicado porque se dura más de 3 horas desde San José. Entonces para que lo tomen en cuenta pero vale totalmente la pena! La cabaña el río, todo genial la verdad

David was amazing. And his space was absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. It really is a little oasis. The outside terrace was maybe my favorite part. And the garden/small trail is beautiful. It's literally a 3 minute walk from El Salto, which is a blast. And it's a quick 15 minute walk to the center of La Fortuna, making shopping and eating out really convenient without having to worry about transportation. David also helped us setup our transportation from the airport and to our 2nd Air BnB. Next time I'm in Fortuna, I already know where I'm staying. Thanks again for having us. Pura Vida.

This place is a paradise! It was the perfect home base to explore the La Fortuna area. The beautiful gardens are full of wildlife to enjoy, and the hot tub was a perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Jonathan was quick to respond and the place was spotless when we arrived. We can't wait to return!

The place was breathtaking and the hot tub was an extra bonus. It was so relaxing and peaceful to sit in the hot tub or just sit on the beautiful balcony while listening to the nearby river. The place was very clean and the host did extra things to make it feel even more special - provided robes, fresh fruit, cold drinks. Definitely would recommend this place to stay and relax while enjoying the near by areas!! Thanks for making our vacation special!!

My boyfriend and I were stationed in la fortuna for a couple of days and decided on this lovely bungalow. It exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with a beautiful heart shaped towel, along with a complimentary bottle of wine from the host. On top of all of this, Christopher was a joy and always very responsive. We loved the view and the jacuzzi was a nice touch. We walked on the trails around the bungalow and we were also a short 10 minute drive from the town. Overall, amazing experience- I would recommend for a romantic getaway.

We had an excellent time staying at Amalú- the cabin was very nicely decorated and had incredible views. The bed was super comfortable and the outdoor area was great. As well as this, Andrés provided us with snacks and food for breakfast which was a lovely touch. They were always very quick to respond to any questions we had which was appreciated. Would definitely recommend staying here!
