Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Arenal

This place is magical! The property is very well maintained with lush greens and massive swimming pool. It got everything you need, a small kitchen, big bed, clean bathroom. A lot shared space to hang out and chill. AND a chance to see sloth on the property. The host and property manager is super welcoming and friendly. The fresh milk and eggs are nice touches to make the stay feels like home. Highly recommend to everyone!

Beautiful place! We could not have been happier with this cabin. Only thing I would say is make sure you turn right leaving here, because the road is difficult going the other way. It was very clean, safe, and a gorgeous location.

This was the perfect oasis we didn’t realize we needed until we were there. The accommodations were lovely & comfortable, but the property was bird-watching heaven for us!! (We also saw cows, wild hogs, steer, skinks/lizards, and friendly neighborhood dogs and cats among other animals). It was awesome!! The bed was comfortable, ac perfect & shower was heavenly! We also enjoyed the hot tub & picnic table several times & they were great amenities. The property was easy to find, clean, well appointed, we felt safe & absolutely loved our stay!! There are several good restaurants/dining options nearby as well. We’d stay again in a heart beat! Thanks for letting us stay, Wendy!!

Ok, the place and the host are perfect. The problem is that it says San Ramón and maybe it happens to you, as it did to me, we imagined it as being near San Ramón downtown, but no! Literally, it is Peñas Blancas, it is about 20 or 25 minutes from Fortuna, so if you think of something closer, it is complicated because it takes more than 3 hours from San José. So, just so you know, but it's totally worth it! The cabin, the river, everything is great, really

This house is incredible. It’s in a great spot, feels very private and tucked into nature. It was perfectly clean and felt very new. Very good value for money. The driveway is quite steep, so our 2WD with poor power struggled a bit, but most cars would be fine. Would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the area.

My wife and I chose this unit for our honeymoon, the space was extremely beautiful and lush. The giant windows opening up into the La fortuna jungle was breathtaking. We spent every evening in the jacuzzi listening to the wildlife and sounds of La fortuna. Fernando had great recommendations and was very friendly. We’re looking forward to returning to this special place.

Both hosts were extremely welcoming and quick to respond. Views were beautiful and very close to town. Worth every penny!

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

We had such a wonderful stay at Meylin and Bernard’s cabin! From the moment we arrived, Meylin was incredibly friendly and responsive. When our car unexpectedly needed a jump, Bernard was at our door within minutes, happy to help — we were so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. The property itself is unbelievable. The cabin is perfectly situated with the raw jungle behind you and a charming farm filled with all kinds of animals in front. If you love nature and animals, this place is a dream. During our stay, we saw so many sloths (including one right outside the bedroom window!) that we felt no need to join any of the sloth tours in town — the wildlife literally came to us! Overall, this was the perfect romantic escape and an ideal base for exploring La Fortuna’s breathtaking sights and hot springs. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful experience surrounded by nature.

A beautiful cabin with a spectacular view of the river. It is easily accessible and has many open spaces such as ranches and gardens that make your stay very pleasant. Although the cabin is small, we slept fantastically. Thank you very much to the host for being so attentive and helpful. We hope to return soon.

It’s perfect for a night spending with beautiful view ! we were lucky and had beautiful sunset and sunrise views of volcano! Diner and breakfast is delicious,very friendly people at the restaurant, must try homemade moonshine!! Overall nice and cozy room nothing fancy but location ,atmosphere and views are worth it to spend night there! Dahana and family are super helpful and check-in is easy. Say hi to Marcelo and Milo!

Perfect place to stay near La Fortuna. Exceptionally clean, unbelievably beautiful property. We loved everything about our stay as well as the cheap food options right down the road.

Incredible views of the Arenal volcano and lake. There was one day of our stay when there was heavy rain most of the afternoon that prevented us from adventuring but it did not feel like the day was wasted because we were able to have a cozy stay in our bedroom with an amazing view of the volcano which which was somehow not covered by the clouds despite the rain. We saw hummingbirds every morning from our window. There is also a delicious restaurant with friendly service down the hill and a small super market a few minutes walk away

For the moment we saw we knew it was for us everything was spotless well equipped with everythingwe need it Mony was very nice to work and communicate with very quick to respond

Silvia was a great host and facilitated a few tours for us. Lovely trails and cabin. Definitely recommend.

Mariliana’s place was one of the most beautiful homes I’ve stayed in, ever! The views when you step inside the property are breathtaking and the house is pristine - beautifully furnished, well kept, and well stocked. Look out for lots of amazing birds including beautiful toucans and impressive birds of prey flying around outside. Mariliana was a fantastic host and super accommodating to our needs. Would recommend to anyone staying in Monteverde looking for a little slice of paradise.

José and Dorita were very kind, we had a wonderful time exploring Monteverde from their location. We are avid birders and knocked a few goals off our list from the back porch. It is privately located, but we were in walking distance to a small grocery store and several great restaurants for dinner. The house itself is beautiful, with wonderful skylights and big windows for viewing the nature outside. Would recommend!

We only stayed 2 nights at Miriam's, but it was great. The place is very clean and tidy. Only the chemical fragrance diffusers that were distributed everywhere disturbed us. After we removed this, it was really great. Especially sitting outside in the morning and listening to nature. All attractions around La Fortuna can be reached quickly and easily by car. Restaurants are plentiful and Miriam is also happy to help. She also offers to arrange tours cheaper, which we did not take advantage of. Miriam is very eager to make you feel completely comfortable. We would stay with her again.

This cabin is super cute and cozy! It has the perfect location, super close to all of the restaurants and attractions. The bathroom is stunning and super unique, keep in mind it is sort of open so it feels like you are showering in the middle of the trees; however, that makes it super special and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Sylvia is not only an outstanding host, but she has an amazing AirBnB. It’s better than the pictures!! The cabaña was perfect for my husband and I. It had plenty of space. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The AC in the bedrooms worked great. We slept well. The bathroom had plenty of space for our toiletries, and the water pressure in the shower was really good. Her entire place was spotless inside and out. The jungle around her house is well kept and so beautiful! Not only did we have an amazing place to stay, Sylvia coordinated and booked excursions for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the Caño Negro Boat Tour, Arenal Volcano Hike, and the North Fields coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane tour. We ate at the restaurants Sylvia recommended and loved every meal. She is an amazing host and gave us a fantastic vacation experience!!! I would 100% stay here again. We loved it and did not want to leave.
