What a magical place with the most amazing stargazing at night. We loved the large open plan design - a stunning balcony with large braai area to enjoy those incredible Karoo evenings. The cottage was well equipped with generous extra touches, perfectly located with mountain walking trails and near one of our favourite farmstalls Elnatan. Christine & Otto were wonderful hosts, really going the extra mile. We are so grateful for the river close by to cool down and have fun with paddle skis and rubber tubes. We highly recommend this piece of paradise.

Comfortable place, friendly host and an indoor fire place

A peaceful and well-designed retreat in the heart of the Klein Karoo. The tented camp is modern, clean, and comfortable, with sweeping views and a strong sense of space and stillness. 🌄⛺ We loved the self-drive safaris, enjoying quiet and unrushed explorations across a vast reserve. Along our journey, we spotted various wildlife, including Kudu, Giraffe, Gemsbok, and Black Wildebeest, as well as an abundance of birdlife. 🚙🦓🦒 The setting is open and natural, ideal for unwinding and reconnecting with the outdoors. It’s pet-friendly — our dogs enjoyed every moment 🐾 — though the camp isn’t enclosed, so do plan ahead. The hosts were welcoming and respectful of privacy, with everything thoughtfully prepared. A great choice for families or small groups seeking a calm, nature-focused escape with just the right balance of comfort and wilderness.

We had a comfortable overnight stay at the cottage. It is private with a lovely view of a dam with plenty space to stretch your legs after a day in the car. The stoep has a small gate which is perfect for containing toddlers.

Thank you Narine for everything! This spot is absolutely GORGEOUS, we were completely in awe as we arrived during sunset and woke up to the first light touching the tips of the mountains, truly blown away by the beauty of this little gem of a place. The dam was extremely beautiful and refreshing to swim in even in the middle of winter! We will definitely be returning!

Amazing stay at Boesmanskop with Tinie. The space is incredible, very stylish and thoughtfully done. The setting under the mountains and surrounded by the Klein Karoo is something else. Tinie is a wonderful host and we had a fantastic dinner and breakfast which he provided, as well as interesting chats after dinner. Highly recommend staying here and having the food too. What a great place 🤩 This was our second stay ♥️ The Aardvark Bioreserve is a real gem for nature lovers and adventure seekers! The site offers a breathtaking combination of untouched nature and sustainable tourism. The view from the Berghuisie accommodation over the dam makes every moment unforgettable. The accommodation is very clean and stylishly furnished. The hot tub and pool are so beautiful. The Bioreserve's commitment to protecting the local flora and fauna is particularly impressive. You can tell that they work with a lot of passion and a sense of responsibility. The staff are extremely friendly and competent. If you are looking for an authentic experience surrounded by nature, this is definitely the right place for you. A perfect place to get away from it all and connect with nature!

We had a lovely peaceful stay. The location and views are stunning and we enjoyed our hike on the property. Celia was great with our arrival and stay and organised a hamper of local produce for us. We enjoyed the hot tub and star filled sky but unfortunately the day we got there was extremely hot and the cabin filled up with insects in the evening. We have a sedan vehicle which was a challenge on the rocky dirt road and if your vehicle sits quite low take note of this. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you’re looking for some peace and solitude.
