Cottage vacation rentals in Lac du Salagou

Vincent and Vanessa are wonderful hosts, they welcomed us in person when we arrived and made us feel at home very quickly, even helping us carry our bags to the house where we were staying and explaining how everything works. This AirBnB is a wonderful traditional house in a beautiful and peaceful location, with stunning views and a private swimming pool. A true paradise! We arrived with our electric car and our hosts made their charging point available to us, which was extremely useful and convenient. There are plenty of positive things to note, but we especially appreciated the comfy beds, the friendly approach, the quietness, atmosphere and attention to detail. Top marks!

The stay went very well in Daniel's cottage which was very well able to welcome 😊 us. We enjoyed the hot tub and the super pleasant garden with its magnificent view of the mountains! In addition, the accommodation is very well equipped: barbecue, fondue and raclette were at the rendezvous, and we were even able to make a fire for a warm atmosphere.

Very nice chalet, clean, well equipped. Separate toilets are very nice. Air conditioning too because, as soon as the sun is sunshine, it's hot. Very large terrace allowing to eat comfortably while having the laundry drying and we can still circulate (we were 1 couple with 3 young children)! Very nice pool with space for children and hot tub/bubbles weather every hour. Quiet residence and wooded residence. We had a lovely week!

Really loved the property. Spacious and yet somehow felt so cozy and lovely. The property had a lot a thing to keep us entertained! Very secluded and peaceful to look at the scenery. And the host was really helpful and friendly to make our stay pleasant

The rental is as described. The place is quiet and peaceful with a lovely view of the Gardiole. The bedding is of good quality . The host was very helpful and responsive to our requests. The only small downside is the condition of the garden furniture, which should be changed.

Our stay at André's went very well, we enjoyed the pool, the jacuzzi and the very quiet environment. Also, the weather was great. I thank André and his wife who were very discreet. Finally, the area is very touristy par excellence. To be repeated, next time.

Arrived safely, small communal parking for 6 cars maximum so can sometimes be a problem to park if you arrive with three cars. We had no problem with two cars. Warm and charming accommodation, magnificent view, satisfactory home equipment. Very cool, we didn't need to use the air conditioning when it was 32 degrees outside. A little rooster stays next door and will not fail to remind you of the time, sometimes very, very early (4:30 a.m. every night and then every hour). A little reminder to close the windows and continue your night in the countryside! In terms of shopping and local activity, you will need to take the car in all circumstances because the options on foot are extremely limited. But it goes hand in hand with the quiet location, without city lighting, allowing you to admire the celestial vault and shooting stars.

We had a blissful week in this amazing house. Mette described it perfectly. We loved everything about it, particularly sitting on the terrace watching the hundreds of rock martins (?) dancing around in the sky. The view is spectacular! Brilliant location- so much to explore. We are coming back next year!

Jerome is 'The Host in a million' - he was kind, generous, thoughtful, and very considerate. He was always there to help if we needed, and respected our privacy when we just wanted to chill. He is a mine of information on places to visit, restaurants, activities, tips, hints and everything you may need. And he went way beyond what was expected to make our holiday truly memorable. You couldn't not want for a better host. His gite is just perfect with everything may need. Right in the heart of a vineyard, you can eat alfresco all the time whilst taking in the spectacular views of the vines. Every little detail is thought of to keep all members happy. Lots of wonderful sites to see in the local area, and quiet little beaches to soak up the sun, sand and local wine. This is my little bit of heaven and highly recommended.

We had a wonderful sunny weekend at Theo and Asunta's, very friendly hosts! The house is very well-equipped! We slept very well (bedding ++) and enjoyed the wood stove! The area is very beautiful, hikes, visits... there is something for everyone. Stay too short, we'll be back!

We had a lovely stay at the Roseraie du Monarc. The space was spotless, very functional, and well decorated. The bedding is of very good quality and the hosts are very kind. We took the opportunity to walk in the forest, pick up chestnuts and admire the colors of the landscape in autumn, it was splendid. Thank you for everything!

Andrew and Caroline were excellent hosts and very accommodating. The property is beautiful and set in an extremely peaceful location. Lots of good walking routes accessible straight from the front door and a beautiful large pool to cool off in. Quissac is easily accessible and has a small but good selection of shops and restaurants, the local market on a Wednesday is a must.

Jean-Jacques was great to communicate with, he always got back very quickly to any query. The house was clutter free and had everything you’d wish for to make life easy whilst on holiday. Fab pool, which is the central feature, sparkling clean and well looked after. The downstairs is very open plan and opens up to a shady area with a small bbq. Kitchen has everything you need, and there is a laundry room with fridge freezer and another fridge for drinks etc. Lovely bedrooms (3) all with their own shower and toilet and the upstairs room has a great view of vineyards and has early morning sun, which is lovely. The house is in a village that has very little, but there is a supermarket about 6 km away and some good restaurants in villages and towns nearby. We had our own bikes and there are loads of great cycling tracks and routes in the area. Most enjoyable and hassle free holiday.
