Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Kyushu

This is my second time staying here and it'll always be my top choice when I'm in the area :) The house is clean and cozy and the surrounding area is so peaceful, quiet, and dreamy. Everything is beautiful and I feel so relaxed staying here. There was a big storm the last time I stayed, but the patio is fully covered, so I got to sit outside and sip my coffee while listening to and watching the rain. The bathroom and kitchen are so well-stocked -- I haven't cooked here but the kitchen makes me want to! John is also a fantastic host who is so kind and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here if you have a chance!

Casa muito bonita e limpa, com excelente vista da montanha. Chuveiros ótimos. O dono opera uma cafeteria no primeiro andar, o que é muito conveniente no café da manhã. Takao san deu ótimas sugestões de passeios locais e ficou muito feliz em receber nossa família, inclusive nosso cachorro!

赤ちゃん、犬3匹(キャバプー2匹.豆柴1匹)、女3人で泊まりました。 駐車場に着くなり、素敵なお父様がお迎えしてくれました。 古き良き立派な一軒家で、綺麗に清掃がしてあり快適に過ごすことができました。 江田島をアートの街に、と元市議会議員のお父様が運営されてるそうで、絵画だけでなく、立派なお雛様、五月人形もありました。 バーベキューの火おこしもしていただいて大変ありがたかったです。 離れのお風呂も檜の匂いがして気持ちよく、ふわふわのタオルが用意されていました。 また行きたいです。

We had an amazing and relaxing week at Hyuga Ocean Retreat! The house is beautiful and the hot tub perfect to relax after a long day of exploring Miyazaki or after a surf at the nearby beach breaks. The location is a little remote without anything in walking distance, so I recommend coming by car, very convenient stop between Miyazaki and Oita to go to Takachiho Gorge. We were welcomed with a delicious dinner in the attached cafe and got to grill the local chicken and try some local fish. I can definitely recommend the stay!

Highly recommend if you want to be around nature and have a place to escape after exploring the surrounding cities. Matsui-san and his wife were very warm and kind to us even though our Japanese was very basic. We were welcomed to the Airbnb with a wonderful BBQ which they helped us set up and clean up. Breakfast was delicious. The cute barn swallows nesting outside the house made it feel so special as well. It is an incredibly clean and well taken care of camping space. We really appreciated Matsui-san and his wife’s care for us that made the stay wonderful.

Yuko-san was great. She sent photos of the turn-off to get to the place, as it is not well-marked from the street. She met us upon arrival and showed us around. The road to approach the place is steep and narrow, and it was quite challenging to turn around at the end, even in a small car. We had an entire house, and it was quite spacious. Some areas seemed worn or older, and perhaps in the middle of a remodel, but it seemed fairly clean overall. Some of the ceilings were quite low, and passages between rooms were even lower. We had a couple of spiders as visitors, but nothing too strange for being in the country. The beds were quite hard, but I found some extra padding and was OK when I used that with the original bedding. It was nice to have an actual couch, too, as we haven't had many in our month in Japan. Yuko also had fresh produce and sauces we could eat/use for cooking. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use. Wifi worked well. We would gladly stay here again!

Well located, at K01 subway station. Short 15 mins walk to Muromi station. Bed is not the most comfortable but does the job! There were some hair on the bath wall, floor wasn’t 100% clean but no major issues really. The only thing is we found the walls a bit thin, we heard neighbours doing their laundries, showering… Other than that, great stay overall! Recommended and the host was great and responsive.

장점: 주변에 마트가 있고 텐몬칸까지 걸어서 10분정도면 도착. 방에 모든것이 구비가 되어있음. 단점: 1층. 베개가 불편함

住過最美麗的旅館，安靜且乾淨，能體會旅館主人的用心。地點隱密，但絕對值得。

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in dem Ferienhaus von Shigeki und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, auch zum Kochen sind alle Utensilien vorhanden. Es gibt wunderbare Balkons, die wir aufgrund der Kürze unseres Aufenthalts gar nicht nutzen konnten, aber das Haus liegt trotz seiner Nähe zum Flughafen in der Natur und es ist nicht laut gewesen. wir würden es jederzeit wieder mieten. Shigeki ist ein sehr netter und zuvorkommender Gastgeber.

This place was amazing. Better than I expected. So many amenities and a great location and view. Can’t wait to come back.

家族で宿泊しました。郷ノ浦港からのアクセスが良く便利です。スーパーも近く、キッチンも十分な広さがあるので自炊する方にはおすすめです。ログハウスも素晴らしく、清潔です。何泊かしましたが、タオルなどたくさんご準備いただいておりました。いくつかご準備があるか確認したものもありましたが、すぐに持ってきてくださったりして快適に過ごすことができました。

雪が降る中のグランピングで、正直寒さについての心配があったのですが、ログハウスの中はしっかり暖かくて全く問題ありませんでした。特に入浴後はずっと身体が暖かく、確かにいい温泉が使われているんだなと実感できました。 犬も一緒の滞在でしたが、アメニティが豊富で粗相をすることなく快適に過ごせたようです。 ありがとうございました。
