Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Kvaløya

We had a fabulous stay. Easy to check in with the code sent. The house was spacious, rich in content and clean. Here was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had beautiful weather with midnight sun and nature experiences with reindeer just outside the house. The house is close to the bus stop, so it was easy to get around without a car. We chose to go on an evening trip to the city center to explore Tromsø by night and easily took the night bus home. Anette was always quick to respond to messages and had several good local tips for us. We would gladly came again 😊

This house offers an extraordinary view of the sea and the Northern Lights on the beautiful island of Sommarøy. The decor is impeccable, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere, especially with the warm fireplace that adds to the charm. The house is fully equipped with everything needed for a wonderful stay, and it is conveniently located close to Tromsø and the ferry to Senja. Runne was an excellent host, always attentive and even gave us Northern Lights alerts, which made our experience even more special. A perfect choice for anyone visiting Sommarøy!

The house impresses with its beautiful location right by the sea, we could watch the northern lights directly from the terrace. The living room invites you to spend cozy hours by the fire. In the Nordic Hotel, a 500 m walk away, there was a super breakfast buffet. We can therefore highly recommend a stay here, nothing is missing!

We wanted somewhere comfortable, warm with amazing views across a fjord. This house was perfect. We enjoyed watching the landscape change with the weather. We saw fantastic Northern Lights on the two clear nights from inside the house, but had to go outside as they were all over the sky. A good place for photography. The house is extremely well equipped and has everything you need, including snow shoes which enabled us to go on two walks in the deep snow. The log burner was fantastic with plenty of logs and the WiFi was great. Anne was an amazing host keeping in touch and updating us on a road closure due to an avalanche risk. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a very nice stay with Bård! You dont have to fear to be lost in nowhere, since you have Bård living right next door and help is always only a short way! (:

Our stay at Line's and Kim's place was fantastic. The Airbnb is a little house overlooking the Skjulsford and is prefect for exploring the area. All things that you will need are there. The surroundings are beautiful and peacefull. Really made our trip to Norway something to remember!

Amazing place and amazing view! We saw the Northern Lights 2 times from the terrace. Hennes is very clear and responsive in giving directions. Everything perfect, recommended!

We were 8 people staying in Heidi's house for a week, focused on active spending of time (skiing, skitouring, hiking, ...). It was a great time - thank you for that! The good: 1. The house is very spacious, very comfortable with 8 people. 2. The living room is just the best 3. The location of the house is very good, close to city and airport yet in nature. 4. Heidi was super responsive and kind There is some room for improvement: with this price point I would expect the kitchen equipment to be more complete (e.g., we had the feeling that there is not enough knives and they are blunt, pans are cheap and scratched, cork stuff to put hot pots on top missing...), the fireplace came without the fire iron - weird, there were no matches just an not working lighter... Also, the heating system in the house seems to be a bit insufficient: we were using the fireplace all the time - would be cool if wood was supplied. But all this can be improved. All in all we love the satay!

The house is very easy to access in Botnhamn city and conveniently located in relation to the ferry between Senja Island and Tromso From the bay windows and terrace, the views are stunning of the fjord and mountains thank you to Tommy for the quality and comfort of the house

We had an incredible stay here in Tromso. The location is amazing with stunning scenery in every direction. We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful walking path along the ocean just steps from the Airbnb. Bjorn was very response, answering all of our questions and providing local recommendations. The apartment was super clean, cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

The apartment is wonderful and for those who do not need luxury and enjoy nature great. We looked at the fjord from the living room windows and watched sea eagles, were collecting mussels and meeting wild reindeer. The apartment is very cozy, we felt right at home. We were particularly pleased with the wood stove. Heidi also welcomed us warmly and gave some tips on what to do and look at. That was great :)

Jacob's place was amazing with a supermarket literally 1 min away to get anything that's needed and everything in a 10/15 minutes distance by car. The place was just like home and cozy, super responsive and an amazing host.

The house and view was great! Jens was easy to communicate with, unfortunately we never met him in person. Good location near a lot of skimountaineering possibilities, which was the reason we came to Norway. The driveway to the house can be tricky and icy in winter! We had a 4wd with spikes and we barely made it up and down a few days. One thing that was missing was the wood for the fireplace we had to buy some ourselves. We rent 4 houses in Norway so far and we always got wood provided for free :) It's just one bathroom and one separate toilet for the whole house, which is not much at all, for us it worked (we were 9) but have that in mind if you wanna go there. Highly recommended place in general!

Karsje’s place is just amazing in one word. The place is so cozy offering amazing views of Tromso. The space was perfect for 5 of us including our 5 year old son. The house had a well structured instruction manual so that we didn’t have to bother the host a lot, but still they were very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of utensils so that you could cook without any hassle. There is a car parking available and also the bus stop is just a 10 minutes walk from the house. Just keep in mind that the house in a quite neighbourhood a bit away from the city, so you will have to travel a bit to find restaurants and supermarkets ( 10 minutes with a car or 15-20 minutes with bus). We enjoyed the stay a lot and would recommend it to anyone who visits Tromso.

We had a wonderful time at Ingrid's house and felt like at home. The apartment is very homely and comfortably furnished and is in a super location in Tromsø. Ingrid was very helpful and gave us many good tips about the area. The equipment is as described, it has everything you could want. Many thanks, Ingrid, we'd love to come back!

Quaint, quiet and beautiful!

Our stay with Odd-Geir was truly fantastic! The house was cozy and made us feel like we were right in the heart of the Arctic. We enjoyed the grill house and the sauna—both added a special touch to our experience. Odd-Geir lent us his car during our stay, which was incredibly helpful. One of the highlights was going fishing with him on his boat—an unforgettable adventure! He’s a genuine host who absolutely enhanced our experience in Tromvik. Highly recommended!

Kvalöya Lodge is one of the nicest places we've ever had and Ketil is the nicest and most caring host you can imagine. We especially enjoyed the view of the fjord, the evening fireplace, the northern lights and Ketil's tips (Husky tour with Active Tromsö, reindeer herds (they like carrots by the way), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (great supermarket for self-catering), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik). We ended up with a lot of snow - fortunately the country road is well cleared 24/7. Snowshoes and spikes are at guests' disposal.

Terrific base in Tromso. It's in a quiet neighborhood, which I personally prefer much more than living in the city center. The house is quite large and very well furnished, and feels very homey and warm. Loved the open plan kitchen and living room where we could prepare meals, relax, and keep an eye out from the balcony windows for signs of an aurora borealis. Hope to have a chance to come back in the future :)

This house was absolutely amazing in every way. Very clean and extremely comfortable. We felt like home from the first minute. Ingvar is such a friendly host and communication with him was easy. You can feel that he normally lives there, the place is so cosy. We also loved the hot tub! Since it is outside of the city the sky is really dark and we could see the northern lights from our porch on three days in a row! The kitchen is perfectly well equippec and we cooked most of our meals there. We would definitively return to Ingvars house.

Absolutely beautiful place. Much nicer than in the pictures! Large house with plenty of space and large bedrooms. Fantastic view of the sea and nice jetty to swim and fish from. We will come back here!
