Experience authentic Japanese country life in a 60-year-old house

It was a better place to stay than I could have imagined. Everything is provided, including amenities, cooking utensils, and sauna tools. The location is somewhat inconvenient, but this accommodation alone can complete a day.I think it is a waste to stay overnight.
A serene room is divided into two spaces, one featuring a stone floor with a small foot bath and natural light from large glass doors. The other area displays traditional tatami mat flooring and a low wooden platform with cushions.

The couple was kind and friendly, and we enjoyed a BBQ in nature.I was also able to use the service to set up and clean up the BBQ at a low cost. Breakfast was very hearty, with unlimited toast and soup.I had a lot of it. I was impressed by the delicious scrambled eggs made by the wife.Next time, I would like to stay with the whole family.

Lovely place, rural and close to nature. Pretty basic, but with all the necessary cons. Sleeping Japanese style. Swimming nearby. Junko is a wonderful host, very hospitable.

I always wanted to stay/experience a traditional house. The house is great place to stay, i really love the beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Some part of the house were refurbished but maintain the original form. I really love the smell of the wood, it really feel like home.

[Western-style room] Available for 1 person! Mountain hut style! A highland guest house where you can enjoy BBQ & camping

I had a truly wonderful stay! As a woman traveling alone, I couldn’t have asked for a better place – it felt safe, welcoming, and just like home. The hosts are incredibly kind and went out of their way to help with anything I needed. They served a delicious breakfast each morning and even prepared a small lunch box for my journey back, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and caring atmosphere.

Entire house rental A: Limited to one group per day (basic price for 2 people) BBQ & camping available on the highland guest house "Goyururi"

I stayed with my kids and it was great! I used the BBQ service comfortably, so it was very comfortable to make fire and clean up afterwards. I was served rice balls at the service, but the salt was just right and very delicious, and I was happy that they made small onigiri for children! The space is also beautiful and we'd love to stay again.

Today only limited price! [20 minutes from Aso, 14 minutes from the airport] Free parking for 2 cars, 2 minutes from a convenience store, 117 Hikari-no-Mori Inn

Manami SRating, 5 stars1 month ago
whenever I had questions and asked the inn keeper, I got the responses within 5 minutes. And each response was very kind. I had nothing to complain about this place, in fact, I will come to Hikari no Mori area again next year and use this very facility if it's still operating:) we stayed 3 full weeks and were comfortable the whole entire time. The only thing, which isn't really worth mentioning, was that we couldn't watch TV programs other than the cable TV. I wanted to watch many animes but couldn't pay for the extra stations and services... I still found something else to watch though. Everything (literally everything) was within walking distance (such as bus stops, the train station, the biggest mall, restaurants and convenience stores, oh and the huge grocery store by the highway, AND numerous small parks) that we didn't need to rent a car for the first week we stayed there, there were so many places to explore!! The best, best guest house I could find in Kikuyo!!
