Vacation rentals with lake access in Kodaikanal Lake

Great place to be in if you are on a budget. Raja and Praveen were very helpful and responsive. The place is very close and walkable to the lake. We had breakfast which was just like having at home.

It was quiet a great stay. We travelled along with our kids and mostly we prefer homestays as it gives a comfortable stay like a home. We stayed for two days and would say, it met our expectations.  Located within city & in residential area & we find easy to access tourist spots. It is in a residential area which is calm and peaceful and safe. The rooms are fairly big,Clean and comfortable. Caretaker Ammu is very good and she was available at our service whenever needed.This homestay had a full-fledged kitchen as well. Since we have kids ,it was very useful to make milk,Coffee and dosa as my little one is the fuzzy eater. The roof of the home stay provides picturistic view of the hills and we enjoyed the weather while sitting on the rooftop. It has wifi,geyser,warmer,security camera which is good to note as in some of our earlier homestays these facilities were missing. The owner also called us and checked our comfortablity. overall we had a pleasant stay over here . Thank you

If you are looking for a perfect getaway from the city life, Ellesmera is the best place to stay at. We visited for 2 nights and 3 days this weekend, and had booked 2 rooms. The house is located on top of the hills surrounded by greenery on all sides. You can see the town from the lawn. There are plum trees and Pear trees planted on the premises which adds to the beauty. The hosts, Mr. Babu Cherian and his wife, took care of us like family. The food is great if you plan to eat at the homestay. They have a beautiful fireplace in the house where you can spend the evening times. It is perfectly located at 5 kms range from almost all the nearby tourist spots to visit. You should have your own commute when visiting, make travel in Kodaikanal a little easier. Plan to visit on a non-long weekend if you wish to avoid traffic at tourist spots.

I had a wonderful experience during my trip to Kodaikanal. The place I stayed at is located very close to the lake, which is one of the major tourist attractions in India. Its proximity to the Lake View Bus Stop—just a short walk away—makes it extremely convenient to reach all the popular destinations in Kodaikanal. The room was clean, cozy, and surprisingly peaceful, even though Kodaikanal tends to be quite busy during the summer season. Thanks to the cool weather and serene surroundings, I enjoyed a calm and relaxing stay. The room also offered a beautiful scenic view, which added to the charm. What stood out the most was the British-style architecture of the building, with large glass windows that perfectly framed the lush greenery outside. It felt like a blend of comfort and elegance. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to spend some quality time in Kodaikanal. It’s a perfect retreat to unwind and enjoy nature

We enjoyed the bliss of nature and its charming surrounding at "The Willow". It gave us a wonderful experience of what living in hills feels like, which otherwise we people coming from big cities are deprived of. The rooms were a heritage style and were very clean. We had a great time!! I appreciate Navin and his team for all the help during our stay.

Mistycove is a great place with a beautiful view of the lake right in the centre of Kodai. The place is beautiful and the in-house chef/cook I.e Ganesh makes really delicious meals. Vaibhav is a proactive host and despite the fact that he was travelling and busy, he gave us very clear and helpful instructions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to go to kodai. The only downside to the place is during season, there is noise from the market since it so centrally located. But an excellent place for any family to visit.

Such a gorgeous place! We booked two villas for a New Year’s group stay and we were left speechless by the lake view, the prime location, the gorgeous manicured lawn, the delicious homely food, and the accessibility to literally every place you would need to go to. Every major restaurant is walkable and there are lots of nice food kiosks right outside the property too! Don’t miss out on the the comforting breakfast and homely dinner at Mistycove though! Will definitely return, highly highly recommend!

Excellent location and setup - just footsteps away from the lake. There is also a care taker and cook on the property. Felt right at home , will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Place was majestic. Just like photos. Dont think about price. Was very worth it. Nitiish was very helpful helped us in all ways possible. Must stay for munnar visitors who like stay peaceful and away from people. Food was worth for its price was hygiene and tasty Will visit again. Thank you

The place offers stunning views of the mountains and lush greenery, with a beautiful garden full of plants. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. Our host, Vivek, was extremely responsive and a genuinely great person to talk to. I traveled with four other ladies over 50, and he made sure we were all comfortable and at ease. He gave us some great restaurant recommendations too. Vivek has two adorable pets who are incredibly friendly—despite being scared of dogs, I felt surprisingly comfortable around them. This stay felt warm, relaxed, and truly peaceful. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind with chill vibes and breathtaking views!

Excellent location. While one stone’s throw away from the lake in peak season, we expected it to be super noisy and chaotic. Everything is designed in a way to give maximum privacy while still being in a super prime location. Our favourite cafés & stores are a short walk away. We met the hosts and had a lovely chat. Their hospitality is par none in the several Airbnbs we have stayed at in India across locations - they treated us to several of their favourite local foods and the rooms are massive, super clean and we can easily see ourselves camping out here longer term / returning soon! Their kitchen staff is amazing and impressed us with 10/10 delivery across different dishes. Wide variety of South Indian, North Indian, Mediterranean and continental options available. Total value for money and definitely the best airbnb we’ve stayed at in Kodai over the least 4-5 years of returning here. P.S: do not miss their massive lawns with incredible reading & chai nooks
