Akkandi Veedu - A Perfect Getaway in Kodai! I recently visited Akkandi Veedu in Kodai, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hosts, Viji, Sutharshan, Thangam, and Ramesh, were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place was immaculate, just as beautiful as shown in the pictures. Their flexibility with check-in and check-out was much appreciated, allowing us to relax without stress. I‘d definitely recommend Akkandi Veedu! I’m already looking forward to returning for another amazing stay!

Had an amazing stay at Sera's. It's a little far from the city, so it's super quiet and beautiful. You can hear and see the waterfall right from your room. Plus, there's Sera's Cafe on top of the hill with a great view and tasty snacks. Must stay!

A Perfect Family Getaway! We had a wonderful stay at Hari’s Airbnb with our family of nine. The property was clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained—truly a perfect place for a family retreat. Cleanliness:Spotless! The entire space was well-kept and tidy. Food: Very good. The caretaker ensured we had enough food, and everything was well-cooked and satisfying. Just a note—if you’d like chicken, be sure to inform the caretaker in advance. Bonfire:Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the bonfire due to rain, but we’re sure it would’ve been a lovely experience. There’s a small waterfall just a 5-minute walk from the stay, which looks magical in the evening. The sound of peacocks in the area added a special charm to our mornings. While breakfast isn’t included, there’s a small shop nearby where we enjoyed delicious egg Maggi and bread omelette—simple and tasty! Overall, our stay was absolutely worth the value. We’d definitely love to visit again. Highly recommend for families!

Had a wonderful stay with a group friends. The property had all the amenities and a good view of the mountains. Giri and housecaretaker Antony was always available to take care of all requirements.

Great place close to the heart of the city. Perfect for big groups and the property is very well managed. The hosts were always quick to respond and catered to our needs perfectly!

Caretaker Govindaraj and assistant Ruby hosted us perfectly. The property has breathtaking views. The homely food they prepared was super yummy. Strongly recommending this place for the privacy, food and great view.

The stay was great and worth the amount we spent. Not too far from the main road, good pristine location. Home made breakfast, along with option to order dinner. Ria’s father, Mr. George is nice and welcoming host, helped arranging us a Jeep also for the Safari. I would always prefer this location as compared to other commercial locations in Munnar.

Double Dutch is located in a beautiful spot by the kamaraj lake. Wonderful for swimming. Very peaceful little village of athoor. We stayed in shanti nivas house which is across the road from the main house. Very rustic, set in a small Hill with a few other rooms. Lots of greenery around. The staff are very friendly and kind. Meal timings are set but staff were very accommodating of us and our timings. All guests eat together on the roof top. This is a quiet resort. Rooms are clean and good size , mattress very comfortable, bathroom is spacious with a good solar water heater. The host is very friendly but also gives you your space. We were the only Indian guests at the time. We were very grateful that our Labrador was also allowed to stay with us. Great place. Do visit.

Our short stay at Neelakurunji luxury rooms was highlighted with superb hospitality from Jiyash and his team of very sweet people (Notably Ebin and Akil). They took care of all our needs, including picking us up from a particularly far location where we were dropped, serving us very tasty food (in large quantities) and so on. They even showed us around a little bit as we were on our way to be dropped off after our stay. It was the end of August and hence there were not many people in the vicinity, but that was what we were looking for and so we were extremely thrilled. The view from the plantation and from all the rooms are breathtakingly beautiful (with clouds passing through your room occasionally). The location is quite remote and so one will need to be picked up and dropped by the staff. Overall the experience here was beautiful, marked with supreme hospitality from a capable and sweet staff.

If you are looking for a perfect getaway from the city life, Ellesmera is the best place to stay at. We visited for 2 nights and 3 days this weekend, and had booked 2 rooms. The house is located on top of the hills surrounded by greenery on all sides. You can see the town from the lawn. There are plum trees and Pear trees planted on the premises which adds to the beauty. The hosts, Mr. Babu Cherian and his wife, took care of us like family. The food is great if you plan to eat at the homestay. They have a beautiful fireplace in the house where you can spend the evening times. It is perfectly located at 5 kms range from almost all the nearby tourist spots to visit. You should have your own commute when visiting, make travel in Kodaikanal a little easier. Plan to visit on a non-long weekend if you wish to avoid traffic at tourist spots.

best private property that I have ever stayed and literally felt like home and care taker eshawaran was really active and good at taking care of everything from the beginning to end and a friendly atmosphere too only one thing is that the roads to reach the property If u guys like to travel through some off road or jerking roads u will definitely find it so valuable and expectations will be satisfied while reaching there. The host honey is really a wonderful woman who continuosly made communication to ensure that everything is 💯 satisfied.

We really enjoyed our stay here and eventually stayed six nights. From your window you only see tea plantations (even though the place is not completely in nature as pictures make you think). The place is cheap, quiet and simple. Expect basic comfort. The host is super caring and we had super interesting talks with him, food is simple and tasty. The place was hard to leave: we started to feel like home :)

Loved the place Bohemian Hideaway. It has got such an amazing sunset view from the place! The hosts Arun n Nikita were super helpful throughout our stay in Kodaikanal - with local recommendations, and offbeat places to visit. And ofcourse, Balaji, what a gem of a person he is! Always smiling and so helpful! Totally worth it!
