Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kochchikade

This is truly a home away from home. We were welcomed by the sweetest people to a very comfortable accommodation. The pictures really doesn't do the place justice. There's lots of space, the kitchen LITERALLY has everything you need, there's enough ACs to keep the temperature in the entire place fresh and the bathroom was super clean and homelike. It even has a bath which was really nice. There's a complete separate entrance to access the apartment so there's never any intrusion on either side. There was a really cool personalized touch that we don't find in most Airbnbs. We were gifted with fruits upon arrival and even new toothbrushes as well as toothpaste in the bathroom. We hit it off with the owners from the start and they even invited us over for dinner. They are extremely caring and generous hosts who love meeting people. The whole family is really awesome. We felt truly blessed to have passed through here and will definitely be coming back if we return to Colombo.

The Villa is stunning, even more beautiful than the pictures! The outlook from poolside was beautiful, we watched the monkeys playing in the trees while enjoying a lovely breakfast and throughout the day were visited by peacocks, iguanas and many different birdlife. What made this holiday an amazing experience was the excellent services of Chadima. Chadima is highly intuitive of what level of attention you prefer and always highly respectful of privacy and would always check before coming in the kitchen. Chadima prepared breakfast every day, asking for our preferences the night before. We also enjoyed some dinners and a lunch prepared by Chadima which were all excellent. Chadima is super proud of using the highest quality ingredients and would be at the fish markets in the early hours of the morning to get the catch of the day if fish was our choice for dinner. We also enjoyed a great fun cookery lesson with Chadima. Excellent & professional hospitality service - highly recommend.

Beautiful, stylish new house. The owner arranged excellent airport pick-up and his family showed me around the house upon my arrival. The family live next door and were gracious and helpful hosts.

Отдыхали на вилле с 2 апреля по 15 апреля 2018 года. Вилла в хорошем состоянии, состоит из главного дома и отдельно гостевого домика. В главном доме 3 спальни, одна с выходом к бассейну, две другие обычные комнатки не прям большие, гостиная большая и большая кухня, гостевой домик отличный с выходом к бассейну, во всех комнатах есть душ и туалет, белье чистое меняли регулярно!Вилла находится в 20 минут от аэропорта. Встретили очень хорошо (разные фрукты и полный холодильник пива). На Вилле есть все ! Большая кухня, блендор, столовые приборы, кастрюли, сковородки, стиральная машинка, газовая и электрическая плита, фен, утюг, гладильная доска и т.д. С Виллы до пляжа примерно 15 минут на тук-туке, до мини маркета пешком минут 10, тихий райончик не любят когда шумят после 12 ночи )))).Бассейн просто супер большой, но не глубокий 1.5 метра, 6 лежаков. Смотритель дома Хемапала (для нас был БАТЕЙ )))) помогал и решал любые вопросы которые возникали ( хотя и не говорит по английский, но все равно все понимал ))) Вообщем все понравилось вилла стоит своих денег. Logement, avec petite chambre et salon-salle à manger. Une terrasse pour profiter de la soirée. Logement simple et local. Parfait pour une arrivé ou départ de l'aéroport. Les hôtes sont très gentils et accueillants. Bonne cuisine, à prix doux ! C'était parfait.

When we arrived at Janitha's villa , we were warmly greeted by his best friend , Jude , who looked after us throughout our stay , making sure we knew where places were & informing us of reasonable transport costs etc. The villa is located in a beautiful , quiet residential area where we were fortunate enough to observe many types of native wild life . Accessibility to the beach was approximately 10/15 minutes at a good walking pace but the nearest well stocked supermarket was approximately 30 minutes walk with empty bags , definitely tuk tuk on return journey with full bags ! The villa itself is as open & spacious as in the photos with mosquito nets provided in both bedrooms . Although we managed to prepare & serve a few meals in the kitchen , there could perhaps be additional utensils to make the job a little easier ( tin opener /few more sharp knives & maybe a chopping board & a sieve ). All in all , we were extremely impressed with the villa & the friendliness & helpfulness of Janitha's family & friends . We would have no hesitation in returning . Thankyou for a wonderful holiday . Rana's home is big and spacious. Very clean and has a beautiful garden. Got timely communication from Rana. Instructions with regards to check-in were clear. Only downside is that the home is far from the beach as well as Lagoon.

The biggest draw of this place is that it is right on the beach. It was ideal for us as we wanted to kick back and relax after two weeks of traveling in Sri Lanka. Step out of the house and on to the beach, go for a swim or a long walk/jog. The beach is secluded, there isn't much around the house except for an occasional fisherman, a lot of crabs and birds, and in clear skies, a view of the distant Colombo skyline. Keep in mind that there isn't a functioning restaurant anywhere nearby. Google maps might show you a couple, but none were serving food during our visit. There is a village grocery store 5 minutes walk away. The caretaker lady cooked us some really nice meals for dinner and breakfast, so we didn't miss having restaurant options around. There was a water outage on our last day, but the resourceful Mr. Lal managed to run a pump and get us all the water we needed.

Perfect place for peaceful stay. Very responsive and supportive host. I can recommend this place to anyone looking for long-term stay.

The ambiance of the place created the perfect retreat, whether I was enjoying a quiet morning or unwinding after a day of exploring the city. If you’re looking for a serene and pleasant place to stay in Colombo, I highly recommend this Airbnb. It was one of the highlights of my trip!

We only stayed here 3 nights and immediately regretted this decision when seeing the Villa the first time. It is absolutely stunning! Incredible what you get for your Money. Everything is brandnew, very clean and of high value. Also the pool is very nice and big. The best thing is that you have the entire place for yourself and can enjoy absolute privacy. Neighbours are not directly next to the property and a wall around it will not allow anyone to look inside. Besides all this, the owners are very nice and will take care of anything. Unfortuntately we did not meet Anton but his wife Sharon and his son took very good care of us. After picking us up at the Airport they took us to a place where we could Change Money (we forgot to do it in the Airport) which had not been that easy since it was a Sunday but they were very Patient and found some open place. Afterwards they also took us to a Supermarket which would not have been necessary because they had already provided plenty of fruit and Drinks at the Villa. One evening they even invited us to dinner which we enjoyed very much. Thank you again for this nice evening! The Villa might not be right next to the beach which is no Problem at all since you have the great pool and it is only a few minutes tuktuk ride to go there. Lakhmal, the tuktuk Driver will take you there for a very reasonable Price. If you Need anything please do not hesitate to ask the owners, they will be happy to help. We were lucky that they arranged a Transfer for us with Mark, a guide and friend of the Family. Our ride with him was very interesting and enjoyable. By the way, we were the first guests so please do not be irritated by missing Reviews. All in all we can do nothing but absolutely recommend to book the Villa!! Thanks to everyone who has made our stay there so Relaxing and unforgettable. The best way to start your trip!

The house was very nice and we highly recommend it. It was very close to the swimming pool and several shops. It was also very easy to communicate with Ransika and her father. We overall had a wonderful time at this house.

We stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks with our two young daughters while we were looking for a long-term rental. The apartment was clean and exactly as advertised. Everything worked well, which isn't always the case in Sri Lanka. Wendy and her friend were very quick to respond and effectively addressed our concerns and requests. The apartment is close to and an easy walk to everything, so you can't beat the location.

We had lovely stay at the villa. It is very big and the swimming pool is great. Everyone was very helpful and the breakfast of Suneetha was very good. When we come back to Sri Lanka we will stay here again.

Friendly staff, easy check in, big beds with mosquito nets and an electric mosquito swat in the room - very handy! Nice little plunge pool, close enough to beach/Main Street to walk - within 10 mins or so. Very affordable. More like a guest studio, not a stand alone apartment Only small niggle was shower pressure/temperature was temperamental

wonderful apartment in a wonderful location, central Colombo. The host was an excellent communicator who helped us in many ways even including arranging a contact for airport transportation. wonderful recommendations, safe and spacious apartment with thoughtful touches, even a few snacks and refreshments provided. We were happy we decided to stay here. check in was super easy. The view from the apartment was nice. AC works well and the apartment even has a washer and dryer for clothing! easy to call a tuk tuk directly outside the apartment. the place is very safe, also great for families. strong wifi. 10/10!

Great accomodation for a vacation in Colombo. Perfectly located in the heart of the city with beautiful views from the balcony and pool! Great host, house was clean and tidy. perfect stay!

Felt at home as we came. The caretaker and his wife was very kind and helpful. We have been in this villa before so we had a great experience last time as well hence we decided to come again with our parents. Place is very spacious with a lovely view of the pool, some greenery and the beach. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to go on a small vacay not too far from Colombo and enjoy with family and friends.
