The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.

Our *non-smoking* home is located in the desirable Ardmore residential area of Winston-Salem...quiet yet still close to many restaurants and shopping. This cottage has all the modern amenities while still retaining it's 1940's cottage charm. The kitchen has been completely remodeled and has all the appliances you would need. The living room and each bedroom have a TV with an antennae and access to your streaming services such as Roku, Prime, and Sling.

Enjoy natural pleasures that accompany this thoughtfully handmade 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with spacious floor plan. Just built log home is wheelchair accessible with porch and deck views of Sauratown and Hanging Rock Mountain. Dogs are welcome and there is NO PET FEE! We have seasonal berries and a well-stocked fishing pond. Visit the state parks then come home to catch a breeze on the porch swing, watch fireflies or roast hotdogs at the fire pit.

Located on a 40+ acre farm, there are plenty of areas to explore, from the donkeys at the stable to multiple breathtaking views throughout the property.
