Sunset house in Hydra

Our parents build this wonderful house in the traditional architecture of Hydra. The house is located in the picturesque fisherman's harbour of Kamini, more quiet and peaceful compared to the lively and cosmopolitan port of Hydra. It is 15 min walk from the central port of Hydra (along a scenic road next to the sea) or 3 min by water taxi. The house is only 90 steps(usually are more than 200) from the Kamini sea side road but the spectacular view from the terrace make it worth the effort.

The stone house is at the edge of a deserted village of the 18th century, Paleohori (Old Village), built at 1930 and restored at 2005, in a land of 3.000 square meters. Also within walking distance (6 km) is the much talked about Kalamia beach and within a five-minute drive the beautiful Loutraki with its Thermal Springs and nightlife. The apartment is 40 sq.m. and has a 120 sq.m. balcony overlooking the entire Corinthian Gulf.

Traditional Stone Guesthouse

The house was built before 1940 and back then it used to be the house of the teacher of the village. The basement was the storage room for the resin. Only in 1975 me grandpa, Dimitris, was able to buy the house and the basement too, in order to use the entire building as a storage room. Then, in 2019, my family decided to transform the upstairs as an Airbnb room and the basement as a storage room for the wine and the oil.
