Farmstay vacation rentals in Kern County

We met Terry and he was very personable, helpful and cared about making sure that you have everything you need. The property has many animals and offered to give us a tour when he was feeding them. The place is spacious. The only thing that I would say is that if the description says a 2bd, it is actually 1 bedroom that has a door and the "bunkbed room" is open with no door. Didn't really make a huge difference to us. We enjoyed our 1 night. It is about 15 minutes off the 5 freeway.

This was our second time staying here and we absolutely love it! Great place to stay with kids and very close to lake!

Vanessa's property on our way to the Death Valley was perfect! It was spacious and exactly as described in the listing. Vanessa herself was a super communicator, always responsive and so caring. We highly recommend her place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed Airbnb experience on your way to the Death Valley.

Beautiful place with lots of amenities and things to do. We stayed at the Playhouse and it was charming. Loved the water supply. Be prepared for the bees while eating by the benches but we are in the middle of the forest so expected. John was friendly and funny. Worth a visit and would come back here camping!

The fam and I came to Nolan's place for a quick getaway this last weekend to tour the Carrizo National Monument. House was clean, warm, and provided just the right amount of necessities to make for a very comfortable trip.

We stopped at Christy’s place for one night during our cross country move. The room was exactly as described and the property is lovely! The room next door is also an airbnb but it still felt private and we didn’t hear a peep from our neighbors. The area is peaceful and we felt very comfortable leaving our packed car overnight. We also appreciated the little table outside to enjoy our dinner! Thanks Christy!

This home was a wonderful and beautiful place. We were in Tehachapi for my son’s wedding and held our rehearsal dinner at this home. Roomy and relaxing for our weekend. I highly recommend this home!

Everything was great. Couldn't get the TV to work. Other than that, everything was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing.

Beautiful location. Easy to get into rooms. Clean and comfortable room, just like the pictures and description. I am familiar with the area so I was able to find it relatively easy, but my in-laws struggled just like Christy had mentioned could be a possibility if you input the address into the GPS as it takes you down a longer route. I’d suggest reading and following the instructions provided to make it easier to locate the home.

Amelia was such a great host. We had to extend our check out time due to emergency and Amelia was very accommodating about it. She was very responsive to the messages. Overall good vibes all around her and the property.

The RV was clean and well stocked with essentials. The camping area was serene and beautiful with river access. We enjoyed it so much we purchased a family membership so we can visit regularly.

The Hacienda was beautiful! We felt right at home. Beds are comfortable. The views are incredible. The outdoor space lends for fun, relaxed memories. Our host was very response and helped when we called upon her. We appreciate her flexibility in adding our dog last minute and offering an early check in.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time here. We got in after dark and had a little bit of a time finding the right airbnb - it wasn't an issue but a property map would be a fabulous addition. We loved the vibe and really wish we'd had time to explore - and enjoy that super cool hot tub!

My family and I spent an idyllic Christmas at Debby’s ranch house. The crackling wood stove, soft sheets and freshly cut Christmas tree all added to the coziness of the home. Debbie even set out Christmas ornaments so that we could decorate the tree! We had a great time playing board games by the fire and exploring the property. We even got to collect eggs from the chicken coop! Debbie and Ross were very responsive hosts. Keep in mind that you may not have phone reception in the area. But Debbie is very proactive about communicating even before the day of check in so be sure to read her messages before traveling to the house.

Great bed and super hospitable host. It was intimate and comfortable, I felt if I could have stayed several nights I would now have a great friend. Ilda is very nice and interesting.

My group had a great time at Mariah’s home. It was well-stocked and more than enough room for six. The area is quite secluded, and perfect for disconnecting from city life. There is no signal coming up the mountain! Mariah kindly gave screenshots of the route in case, but we had the route saved beforehand! The home is cozy and we loved the decor. Thanks again!

We enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful weekend at Anthony’s place. Anthony was very accommodating of our service dogs and provided a lot of excellent local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Anthony’s place has some quirks, but nothing he didn’t prepare us for and nothing that took away from the quality of our stay. The “house within a house” concept was awesome. Coffee and games in the outer shell in the morning was great. We also loved hanging on the balcony and taking in the beautiful view. The area is very quiet and every neighbor we walked by with the dogs was friendly. Definitely recommend Anthony’s place to anyone looking for a zen-like stay, but with all the modern amenities that make our lives easier.

I surprised my family with a two-night getaway to this incredible 90-acre ranch in Weldon, and it was truly a magical experience from start to finish. It’s a nature lover’s paradise, and the stargazing at night was nothing short of breathtaking. With no city lights around, the night sky lit up like a planetarium—something we’ll never forget. Bryan was an absolutely amazing host. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcomed and right at home. He was friendly, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. Whether you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature or just spend quality time with loved ones in a serene setting, this place checks all the boxes. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!
