House vacation rentals in Kennebec River

I would absolutely stay here again! The check-in process was smooth, and Michael was incredibly flexible and responsive to any questions we had. The directions to the property were clear and easy to follow. Although we didn't cook while we were there, the place had everthing you would need to host. The house comfortably accommodated all six of us for the night, and since the weather was beautiful, we spent much of our time enjoying the stunning backyard. The entire setup was absolutely perfect—couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We would 100% recommend Dina’s place to ANYONE (and we hope to be back)! The place is beautiful and would accommodate a small to large family. The pool and hot tub are incredibly nice and peaceful surrounded by trees. The furniture is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen great to use. Dina is also incredibly thoughtful and quick with her replies. We got a little turned around arriving at night (the GPS lead us up the road a bit), but we found it!

The house was fantastic, brand new and JUST like the photos. We were also pleasantly surprised with the pool in the backyard that wasn’t shown in the photos! The host was also very responsive if we needed anything at all. Would certainly stay again!

We felt like at home. The house is located in a private property with swimming pool and tennis courts. It’s very clean and very peaceful. Just a clarification about the description : there’s no bathroom in the basement. Then if you come with elderly people or very young kids, it could be annoying. If you like cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. We´ll keep a very good memory of our stay in Ducktrap Retreat during the colorful foliage season.

What a wonderful experience! Rebecca was an absolutely outstanding host, always quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. My family and I had such a peaceful stay. The home and location were incredibly tranquil, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house and property were absolutely beautiful, and we loved sipping our morning coffee on the amazing balconies with the breathtaking views. There is so much space, and every room in the house is well thought out, functional, and cozy. The pool is even better than we hoped, so big and clean and in immaculate condition. We spent most of our time swimming and relaxing by the pool. We also enjoyed playing pool and having so many rooms to gather in with the comfort of plenty of new comfy furniture. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind for a vacation away from all the noise and chaos of daily life. Every single area was as described in the listing and better. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Booked this place for our anniversary to get away from the city for a weekend.. we found exactly what we were looking for! The hot tub was wonderful, the house was clean and cute, and we had everything we could have needed! Estelle was very responsive and gave clear instructions for everything. Would recommend this place for a quiet getaway or a small group trip in the summer!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was absolutely amazing—offering a pure connection with nature. It was very spacious, spotless clean, and perfectly maintained. The game area was super fun and added a great touch to our experience. Although we didn’t use the pool, it looked really nice and inviting. Everything was well-organized, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The location is gorgeous and peaceful, so close to the water so that we could enjoy it right out the window, or down at the dock. The weather was too rainy for paddling but we heard the loons. The space is comfortable and Mark had so many nice touches that made us feel welcome. We hope to be back!

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

We very much enjoyed our weekend stay at Alana’s camp. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, laundry products were available along with bathroom toiletries. Very clean and enjoyable. Spent a lot of time fishing from the shore line. We caught some white perch, yellow perch and sunfish 🎣 we enjoyed kayaking and roasting marshmallows for smores over the fire pit. There was wood available to use but would recommend bringing some of your own if you wanted to have a fire going for awhile. Lifejackets were available for the kids and some sand toys. Dog friendly, the dirt road was also great to walk the dog on. I would recommend bringing a long line for your dog while outside so they can be leashed and still swim and play. All light switches were labeled which was actually really nice. Extra blankets around for watching movies in the evening. Grill was all ready to go for dinner. We had an amazing time.

Samantha’s home was even better than the pictures! The location was fantastic. The home was super clean and had a wonderful smell when we entered the home. She and her team were very responsive and provided us with recommendations based on a survey they sent as well as a packet of information at the home. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. My family and I enjoyed it very much! We will definitely be back. Thank you again Samantha and team!

Adding to the many reviews that say how incredible this place is: an easy commute to Saddleback for those looking to ski (as well as into town and to the lakes, too). Brand new, beautiful place with a fully stocked kitchen that worked well for our three small families to spend a weekend together. Really appreciated the extra touches for children, including the dishes. While the weather was cold and rainy, we were able to all be comfortable and cozy by the fire inside. Thanks to Kyle for the opportunity to stay!

Sarah went above and beyond for my fiancé and I. We stayed in her cabin for our anniversary and we were greeted by a lovely vase of flowers, s’mores fixings, and a beautiful card. Though we checked out June 2nd she made sure we had kayaks for our entire visit (only available starting June) and dry firewood! She was extremely kind and responsive. The property was stunning and matched the photos. We felt very much at home and will be staying again in the future! Thank you Sarah for letting us stay at your family camp!

We stayed for 10 days while working in our cabin! We felt right at home, enjoyed all of the amenities, and would stay again!

If you want a private, well furnished home in the woods with fishing access on the stream and 2 fire pits this is your place!! Staying at this house made a work trip for my crew and I, feel like we were on vacation for 2 nights while staying there. Worth the money and great hosts!

Anyone planning a trip out this way, BOOK Joao’s place 10/10 experience and 10/10 host. Unfortunately I had to leave early and was not able to stay the whole time and Joao went out of his way to extend his well wishes and refund cleaning fees as well as made arrangements to accommodate us on our next booking, which we rebooked right away. Beautiful, just like the pictures and the area is so peaceful and quiet, could not have had a better experience with this Airbnb and host.

All the previous reviews indicated we would love this location, the setting, the caring of the host....we were inspired to join Airbnb to just be able to stay here!!! The beauty of the surroundings is remarkable and we admire the care taken to keep it in its refined natural state. We are so thankful we took the description and reviews to heart! We now have another great Maine memory!

Great location on Back River. short drive to wiscasset and groceries. Fun to sit and watch the tides.

Such a peaceful place to be. The house is very comfortable and has beautiful decor throughout. You cannot beat the view! Owners are so nice and very responsive. The house is the last house on a dirt road so it feels very private. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Jeanne’s place was great. Jeanne’s place was very spacious and was well equipped with whatever we needed the weekend we were there. Each room was very spacious and clean and the entire house was very cozy. The Internet was fast and being close to Farmington we had everything available within a short drive. We went in the winter when it was snowy so did not use the outdoor space, but it seemed very large with a peaceful patio area facing woods. With the location in a quiet area but close to hikes and ski resorts we thought it was a perfect location for outdoors activities or just a stay indoors getaway. Lastly, Jeanne was very pleasant to communicate with and very accommodating with our travel plans. Fantastic location and fantastic host!

The area where Sofia has her Airbnb is a close favorite to Vienna where I spent many summers at my father’s camp. It is a beautiful home and very close to the water. My family came from as far away as Australia to be there for my father’s interment in the Mt. Vernon community cemetery. Sofia was gracious and allowed our extended family to stop and say hi to our grandchildren. We had three generations staying in Sofia’s beautiful and comfortable home with plenty of space to spread out. Sofia’s kitchen is a dream and has plenty of counter space to prepare a delicious Saturday afternoon meal, and we took full advantage. Sofia also let us stay on a moments notice because our VRBO rental cancelled us the morning we were all supposed to be arriving there. We appreciate Sofia’s quick response to our need. Sofia’s rental was much bigger and nicer to accommodate all of us.

Alina was a great host and the place is beautiful and had everything we needed and was exactly as described.
