Robolls Croft

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Roboll's Croft. Mairi provided excellent comms and even helped us navigate the eccentricities of the CalMac website which falsely assured us there were no suitable sailings available. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and there are beautiful views towards the Paps of Jura when the clouds lift. Islay is very friendly but above all a beautiful place with stunning hidden beaches and places of interest. it was great to have a hen harrier fly over the garden, and there was plenty of wildlife to spot, including on Jura. Somewhere good for the soul and we will be back!

Lovely little cottage, with everything you need. Clean and comfortable, just as listed. Great location to explore kintyre. Petrol station and small shop a bonus, as its a very rural settling. Peaceful and quiet.

Luxury Pod on Islay with Hot Tub

BebhinnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Thank you Rebecca for hosting us during Feis Ile! The pod was a great place to start and end our days with the hot tub and outdoor BBQ a real highlight. Everything was clean and well designed for the space and Rebecca was always responsive when asked but also gave us plenty of privacy throughout the week. The place was a close drive to Port Ellen and Bowmore as well, with a couple of local Coops within 10-15 minutes of driving.

Bluebell cabin with wood fired hot tub

LaurenRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Staying at the bluebell cabin was lovely. The place was super clean, warm and inviting, and the space was better than the photos online. As I was travelling for work, I wasn’t able to check in until late at night this was no issue and Karen was very accommodating and was quick at responding every time I messaged . I also was travelling with a Work van and she allowed me to park on her private driveway to ensure I could park the van overnight . In the mornings Karen pops over for a chat which was so lovely and it’s just that little bit for of a personal touch with her customers. The cabin smelled amazing and she even shared which scent of air freshener she used LOL. Even though on that occasion I was travelling for work I still enjoyed my stay however I will be back next year to stay leisurely at the cabins. I would highly recommend this place!

The Wee Hoosie

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A great find, such a peaceful setting, very quite road so no traffic noise, an excellent outdoor area with chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. The Wee hoosie is very clean and very well presented. Very clear directions for arrival which we had no problems finding. Kitchen area well equip with everything we needed. Some informative books of Islay with a great sections of the history of Port Charlotte. You can walk to Port Charlotte to walk for drinks and meal at one of the hotels with a footpath all the way. Had a fantastic time in Portnehaven watching the Seals. It’s also a great location for the RSPB nature reserve and to visit all the distilleries, we didn’t quite make it to them all but enjoyed a lovely 30min walk down the pedestrian path to Bruichladdich distillery which also does Gin tasting too!!! 100% recommend; thanks to Catherine for been a great host.

Boutique Cottage for Two in Argyll

AliceRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Lovely quirky cottage with plenty of space. Nice toiletries and welcome touches for both humans and dogs alike! Great walking for dogs direct from the door, just bring long lines if you are concerned about your dogs with sheep or deer as they are all around. One thing to note is that whilst one side of the garden is fenced the other isn’t, there is a low wall, a little jump down and you’re onto the wild hillside! Fine if you have very obedient dogs that don’t wander or hunt, not secure if you don’t.
