Villa vacation rentals in Kastellos

Georgia and Yannis's villa is amazing, and surpassed all of our expectations. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, the owners have thought about every single detail, which made planning our holiday considerably easier. In the weeks before our arrival, Georgia sent us itinerary ideas, beach recommendations and restaurant suggestions. The view from the pool is simply breathtaking. We were two families with children from 4 to 14. The children loved every minute of our holiday, particularly the swimming pool and the play area.

This was the nicest Airbnb I've ever stayed in! To note, though, that this review is for the East Villa, as we had booked the West Villa, but the host kindly offered to switch us. The patio area of the East Villa looks nicer than the West Villa, as it's bigger and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. The villas are only a few months old, and everything was spotless. Mary was always responsive, which was crucial as we had booked last minute. She arranged for a contact person to meet us at a location nearby, who then led us to the villa. The location is a bit remote, but it's close to Lake Kournas and completely private. The village of Kournas is also nearby, and Chania is about an hour away. It was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave! The highlights for me were the view, the pool, the rainfall shower, and the pillows. There was also a bottle of wine in the fridge, and even though we broke something at the place, they were very polite and didn't mind at all. Truly a dream!

Asunto oli erittäin sopiva tarpeisiimme, 6 aikuista + 2 lasta. Majoituimme toukokuun alussa ja säät suosivat meitä, uima-allas oli kovassa käytössä. Asunto sijaitsi pienessä, idyllisessä ja rauhallisessa kylässä. Tutustuin kylän asukkaisiin, lapsenlapseni kanssa ja sain erittäin sydämellisen vaikutelman paikallisista ihmisistä. Kävelymatkan päässä oli muutama hyvä ruokapaikka, leipomo, kahvila ja pari pientä kauppaa. Vuokra-auto tai skootteri on kuitenkin ehdoton, jos haluaa tutustua laajemmin ympäristöön. Kylässä on pienet kujat, joten aivan asunnolle ei pääse ajamaan, ainakaan isommalla autolla, mutta pysäköintialue on n. 100 m päässä. Pienen ajomatkan (20-40 km) löytyy paljon tutustumisen arvoisia luonto ja vaelluskohteita. Asunnon huoneet ja varustelu oli ainakin meidän kokoiselle kokoonpanolle aivan riittävä kaikkiin tarpeisiin. Miellyttävä yllätys oli myöskin keittiön pöydällä meitä odottava tervetulotoivotuspaketti ruokatarvikkeita. Suosittelemme tätä majoituskohdetta!

Wir hatten Ende Oktober eine herrliche Woche auf Kreta und haben den Aufenthalt in der Villa sehr genossen. In der Realität ist die Villa noch schöner als auf den Fotos und liegt verwinkelt in einer autofreien Seitengasse, sodass es sehr ruhig ist. Von der großzügigen Dachterrasse aus hat man einen sehr schönen Blick über das Dörfchen und auch aufs Meer. Der Blick vom Pool auf die angrenzenden Berge ist ebenso malerisch. Unsere Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke dafür! In der Taverne im Dorf kann man lecker essen und morgens gibt es frisches Brot vom Bäcker.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

Ein absolutes Superhost! Die Villa ist wunderschön. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und würden uns jederzeit erneut für die Canna Villa entscheiden. Yannis ist jederzeit erreichbar und ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad! Het huis is prachtig van binnen en de tuin is ook erg fijn! Het huis zit heel dicht bij het strand, wat heerlijk was! De host was erg vriendelijk en reageerde snel! Als er een probleem was zorgde men voor een goede service! We hebben genoten!!

מאד נהנינו בחופשה בבית זה הכל היה נקי ומסודר. הבריכה מדהימה והחצר מפנקת. המארחים מאד נחמדים ואדיבים. השירות היה יותר מן הכלל. היתה לנו בזכותם חופשה מושלמת. ממליצה מאד על הבית ומקווה לחזור להתארח בו.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Beatiful view and nice downstairs appartment with own pool and yard. Parking lot had always room for our car. From parking lot there are deep stairs down to the appartments yard. We came late in evening and it was little bit difficult to get in without light on the appartment door. Pool was great for swimming and view fo Chania and sea bay just amazing. If you have lot of electronic devices with you, take a power strip with you. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet during our stay in April. Really nice place to relax and enjoy life.

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Amazing home.

Wir waren als Familie mit den Großeltern dort. Allen drei Generationen hat es sehr gut gefallen. Der beheizbar Pool ist Ende Mai ein absolutes Plus und der Whirlpool direkt daneben macht den Außenbereich perfekt. Das Gelände ist großzügig, es gibt viel Schatten und die Aussicht ist der Hammer. Der geschützte Grillbereich ist zum frühstücken und Abendessen perfekt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist aber der erstklassige Service. Olga war immer erreichbar, das klemmende Hoftor innerhalb von einer halben Stunde repariert und zwei Mitarbeiter kommen jeden Morgen, nehmen den Müll mit, reinigen dem Außenbereich und sogar den Grill. Es gibt viele sehr gute Restaurants und alle Begegnungen waren postive und freundlich, uns hat es super gefallen.

We had a real jaw drop moment walking into this Villa with the sun setting over the mountains. It was a beautiful place, Very remote. We had plenty of space for 10 people. We had really good communication with our hosts. We enjoyed some lovely food in the local village Kalyves down by the beach. I would highly recommend this Villa if you would like somewhere to relax with your family or friends, and enjoy a view you will never get bored of.

The Airbnb was fantastic, very modern and spacious with an amazing view. The host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and also during our stay. One of the best Villa’s I have ever stayed in, the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend choosing this for your stay in Greece. Only bad thing is that we had to leave to come back home!

We had the best time in the villa chreal! We were 14 people and the house was perfect for us! Agapi is the friendliest host we ever met, she organized us cars for rent, gave us tipps for beaches and nice adventures and even if we had little personal problems she fixxed everything for us! Best communication! We were allowed to eat a homegrown melon and tomatoes from the garden next to the pool and in the middle of the week she came and cleaned the whole house for us…best service ever! The house was really beautiful and absolutely clean and has a lovely pool with a great view. There is nothing negative to say! Thank you so much!!

Es war alles perfekt, wie schon in der Bewertung angekreuzt. Super tolles Haus mit Stil, schöne Einrichtung und Bilder. Ein toller Ausblick. Der Kontakt zum Host war super einfach und flexibel, er konnte viele Hinweise und Tipps geben, war super freundlich und herzlich! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Immer gern wieder!

Lieu propre, spacieux très bien équipée que ce soit pour la nurserie oupour la cuisine.digne d’un hôtel ! Hôte très agréable, très très réactif et de bon conseil ! Petit village plein de charme ! Tout y est pour passer de merveilleuses vacances en famille ou entre amis !

Notre famille a profité de 2 semaines fantastiques à la Blue Lake Villa ! La villa bénéficie d’une vue incroyable sur le lac Kournas et est équipée de tout ce dont on a besoin pour être confortable. Nous nous sentons comme faisant partie de la vie des gens locaux mais en étant aussi à distance de marche des tavernas, boutiques et activités au lac Kournas. La plage la plus proche est à environ 10 minutes en voiture de la villa. Nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité et choyés grâce aux soins et multiples attentions (desserts, oeufs, recommandations,etc) de Polymnia et sa famille ! Nous recommandons fortement un séjour à la Blue Lake Villa !

We had an excellent stay at Villa Logari. Beautiful home that looked just like the photos. Host was extremely responsive and hospitality was top notch… the daily breakfast basket is an amazing touch. The villa is in Xirosterni which is a bit off the beaten path but is charming and we were able to explore the local area as well as travel to both Chania and Rethymno which are each around 45 minutes away. Would definitely return!

This is a spectacular villa and easily matches the photos. One unexpected feature was that one of the two pools was shallow for the kids. That meant they could stand by themselves and they would play in it all day. The adults loved just lying in it too! Nikos was a great host. He welcomed us on to the property and was extremely responsive with our questions. He even delivered extra pool toys and Greek treats during our stay. The area is very private with a short drive to supermarkets and some classic waterfront restaurants. It’s also convenient to get to Chania airport. We loved our stay here as two families, it exceeded our expectations and would strongly recommend.

Property was as described, great location. Pavlos was an amazing Host above expectations with arrival amenities and local recommendations.
