We had a wonderful time staying in this house! Its location in the forest created an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the housekeeper was a true gem — always nearby and ready to help, yet absolutely unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy, which we greatly appreciated. The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi, but even that helped us disconnect and immerse ourselves in nature. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would happily come back again!

A truly gorgeous place with a spectacular environment. We were warmly welcomed by Sandaya and her husband, whose hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you both for the refreshing coconut water and for ensuring we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time, and the local community was equally delightful—friendly, helpful, and kind. Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans la globalité , le logement est spacieux et propre, un barbecue à disposition pour faire des grillades. Les avantages: belle vue des hauteurs, grande maison, spacieuse, propre, concierge adorable et disponible, barbecue, lits confortable. Les moins: il manque une salle de bain en plus pour que ça soit parfait, attention à la propreté de la piscine qui n’était pas traité ( donc pas pu se baigner), manque d’équipement général pour la cuisine, le bruit général extérieur ( chien qui aboie toute la nuit).

Wow! I have been traveling with AirBnB for 11 years now and have never had such a great experience. The slogan "Your second home" is not just a slogan, but a reality right from the start. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. From the facilities and service to the location, everything exceeded our expectations. In addition, Gampola is an authentic place where you can get to know Sri Lanka at its best in an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of different religions. Centrally located, Gampola offers a good starting point to discover the surrounding area, all the way to Kandy.

Upul ist ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Die Aussicht ist ein Traum! Die Unterkunft ist sehr groß (größer als auf den Bildern) und perfekt für 4 Personen. Die Möbel sind moderner als man es auf Sri Lanka gewohnt ist. Upul hat uns sogar seine Waschmaschiene zur Verfügung gestellrt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wären gerne länger geblieben. Der Ambuluwawa Tower ist ca. 10 Minuten (Tultuk) entfernt. Reisenden mit einem Tuktuk würden wir empfehlen das Tultuk nicht ganz oben bei der Unterkunft zu parken, es sei denn man ist schon sehr erfahren. Wie haben es gerade so bei Regen hoch geschafft. Es geht ziemlich steil Berg hoch. Mit einem Mopet oder Auto geht es besser. Uns hat es wirklich gut gefallen. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen! 🙂

Sampath's place was the perfect starting point for our Sri Lanka trip. The secluded location offered breathtaking views, and everything we needed was taken care of. My family, including my kid and parents, loved it there. The caretakers, were incredibly friendly and great hosts. The food she cooked for us was also really great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

Wir haben uns von der ersten Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem komfortablen, großen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Es liegt am Ende einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit einem tollen Blick über das Tal und den Fluss bis zu den Bergen. Sakunthala hat uns supernett begrüßt und alles getan dafür, dass wir uns gut aufgenommen fühlten. Sie ist darüber hinaus auch eine gute Köchin die uns bestes Essen serviert hat. Auch die Hausbesitzer Aude und Ariyam, die wir später kennenlernen durften, sind sehr nett und waren immer bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so bequem wie möglich zu gestalten. Das einzige, was wir bereuen, ist, dass wir nur drei Tage gebucht hatten und dann weiterreisen mussten. Sehr gerne würden wir nochmal kommen. Vielen Dank für alles! Katharina

We were a group of 19 people of which 11 children and we all had a great time. The big house is stylish and comfortable, in a very natural and quiet environment, surrounded by forest, hills and tea plantations. Great staff, very welcoming and helping, and excellent food !

It is really amazing relaxing place far from noisy road. The room with full-length windows is amazing! View of the jungle and rice field. Also the room was clean and all we need was there. Pool is nice! The host Sakula is very attentive and caring! You can contact him with any questions. He is also interesting person to talk with. His family and staff are very kind too! So we felt like home! I would like to recommend Sakula’s place everybody!

great location for sri lanka middle part sightseeing. house and swimming pool much bigger than on photos. was better than expected. safe and quiet. Spend really good time. dinner and breakfast possible.

Grand Hills is a fitting name for a villa with amazing views of the surrounding hills and Kandy area. Don's team at the villa were helpful and (especially Mr Chaminda); we were given local recommendations and they were very responsive to any requests or questions. The villa is a good size - our extended family had plenty of space and most rooms have a private balcony. The children enjoyed watching the monkeys on the roof in the morning. The Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious and we were able to walk to the neighbouring resort for lunch and dinner. Pool was pristine.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! La villa est magnifique, très bien entretenue, et sa localisation est idéale pour découvrir les environs. Le personnel est d’une gentillesse incroyable, toujours disponible et serviable. Le seul point à améliorer concerne la piscine : plusieurs carreaux sont tranchants, ce qui peut être dangereux. Il serait peut-être judicieux de la vider pour refaire les joints et remplacer les carreaux défectueux. En dehors de cela, tout était parfait. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Drummer's Abode sehr genossen. Es war schön, nach einem Tag in der Stadt ins ruhige Zuhause zurückzukehren und den Garten zu geniessen. Die Fahrt von Drummer's Abode ins Stadtzentrum dauert mit dem Tuktuk nur etwa 10 Minuten. Die ganze Unterkunft war sauber und gepflegt, wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Rupika war stets freundlich, sie antwortete auch rasch und zuverlässig. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in Drummer's Abode!

Sanjaya and his family were as friendly as the apartment was comfortable (very). Particular highlight was the balcony overlooking the Kandy valley - spent many a happy moment observing bustling life from up high. Would happily stay with Sanjaya again.

the location is superb in terms of views, tranquility and away from traffic and commotions. The kitchen was well equipped and had all the desired amenities as well. There was a spare room available which was used by the driver. The kitchen had most of the amenities but not much of stock in terms of food grains or eggs which you have to have beforehand. Kandy town is 14 km away. Otherwise it was a pleasant and refreshing stay. wish we had more days to spend here. Also the main bedroom has a breathtaking view. In short loved it. Had some trouble finding the place initially as the address given by Airbnb and that by the host separately did not match.

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

Location is really good, you ll have a great view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Breathtaking views. House is really nice and clean. Staff members are really friendly. They communicate well and they can cook 👨‍🍳 well. If you want to use the pool please let them know early, pool is having fresh water from mountains. If you have a driver, he/she can have their own drivers unit at the back of the house. Rooms are really good and all the rooms have attached bathrooms. This place is good for 8 people. We will be back again ☺️🤩🎉

This is the most beautiful place I have visited in Sri Lanka!! The location is SO serene and beautiful. Lush vegetation, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls nearby. The road was quite good to get to the homestay, More than all of this Wasantha and her husband are greatly hospitable. She made the BEST local authentic food with home grown vegetables and fruits. Then we went to the local waterfalls, where you can even get a free fish massage in the water! You can exhaust your camera roll taking pictures here!! All I can just say, "Absolutely Amazing!!!!!", "Memorable!!"
