Apartment vacation rentals in Kandy

This was our first stay at Nimendra’s place and certainly won’t be our last, we’re already planning to return! The apartment felt like home, with a calm atmosphere and access to excellent shared facilities. The pool and gym were spotless and inviting, and the views of the Knuckles range were simply breathtaking. One heads-up for future guests: on arrival, we were asked by building staff (not Nimendra) to open and unpack our luggage entirely as part of a check-in procedure. We respect the security, but after an 11-hour flight and a long drive to Kandy on the same day, it wasn’t the warmest welcome, this could be better flagged in advance. In the flat, a few extra kitchen items (e.g. pasta strainer, dish rack, dustpan) would make self-catering easier. Despite these, everything else about the stay was top-notch. The space was quiet, spotless, and well thought out, and Nimendra was helpful and responsive throughout. A lovely stay in every way!

Best experience in Kandy. Central position but far away from the traffic, it seems to stay in a green bubble… lot of nature around. Good Wi-Fi connection and nice furniture in the House. Perfect for a couple/ Host beyond expectations. We stayed 10 days proposed to change towels, always available for questions and to support. With you all the best as you deserve it and Made my experience in Sri Lanka on my last days a little bit better . Recommended ;)

We booked Cheshan's place in less than 12 hours before arriving. The host quickly replied to our questions. He and the caretaker were very helpful and agreed to take our luggage for storage before checking in. The place itself is lovely and within walkable distance to the center and the lake. The apartment is in the new building with underground parking and a pub nearby. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this apartment for fellow travelers.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. Apartment itself was spacious, super clean, well maintained and conveniently located. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was readily available. Host is very reliable, friendly and answered always! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. We felt like home. highly recommend this place.

I really enjoy my 2 days trips. It was really cool and calm. Owner was so friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed with large bathrooms. Kitchen equipment was nice. But there is dust everywhere I think long time no one use this apartment. Nether-less , everything was good. Thanks I highly recommend 🫶🫶

We had a great stay in Lake Villa. Location is bit far from the city however it’s a really calm and quiet location with all amenities. Staff was very friendly and responsive.

Perfect Kandy Escape for Our Large Group! 5 Stars! We can't recommend this Kandy Airbnb enough! Our two families (4 adults and 4 kids) had a fantastic stay. The spacious home comfortably accommodated all of us with 4 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite – a lifesaver with a big group! The large living area was perfect for relaxing together. We cooked meals easily in the well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and microwave. Having a washing machine and clothes drying facilities was a huge bonus. The true highlight though, was the balcony overlooking the stunning mountains and river – breathtaking views we never tired of! The delicious breakfasts, available for a small fee, were a fantastic way to start the day. We felt incredibly secure with the gated property, and the ceiling fans kept us cool throughout. The hosts even provided a TV and iron – little touches that made a big difference. This Airbnb is ideal for large families or groups. It truly felt like visiting family!

Candy Home is a perfect stay in Kandy and Gayan really is such a kind man. I asked him questions regarding my travel plans and he was very supportive. I felt so at home I booked another night... If you fancy some wonderful food there is a great vegetarian restaurant on the left when walking to the bus station. Their food is absolutely gorgeous and I went twice during my stay in Kandy and loved their kindness and generosity..

Everyone at Ifti Holiday Home are super hospitable, helpful, and friendly. You will feel at home and welcomed in Kandy with their hospitality. They’re very flexible and responsive about your needs. Their home is very clean, very spacious, very secure and also has a very fast internet. The description on the listing is very accurate and trustable. The location is very convenient and there are supermarkets around. Highly recommended and I enjoyed the stay very much. I’d also say this is one of the best places to stay on Airbnb in Sri Lanka. Would love to stay there again.

Fazly is truely an exceptional host who went above and beyond throughout our stay. The accomodation was spotless, and those balcony views just stunning. We ate delicious breakfast and dinner made by his wife on the balcony which saved us having to go out. We were really made to feel at home, more than any Airbnb previously visited. 10 out of 10, if you are visiting Kandy look nowhere else.

staying at manjula‘s place was close to perfect and his family is lovely.

The property was absolutely worth the price—clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all amenities. Amal (if I’ve spelled it right) assisted us really well throughout our stay. Just two small suggestions: the door in the bedroom behind the TV needs a bit of repair, and it would be great to add a sunlight-blocking curtain for that room’s balcony, as the morning sun was quite strong. Other than that, everything was excellent. Thanks for a great stay!

Geethanjali is a really lovely host and very responsive. The view from the apartment is beautiful and a lovely escape from the business of Kandy. The apartment is spacious and clean. It is slightly outside town but easy enough to sort tuk tuks or taxis.

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

Nook Rest is fantastically situated, being just a 5 minute taxi ride from the main attractions in Kandy. The apartment is very clean and smart with modern amenities including aircon. The catering provided throughout our stay was brilliant, some of the best food we had whilst in Sri Lanka. Overall a great place to stay, 10/10.
