Vacation rentals with a pool in Kalamaki Beach

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous villa. From the moment we met Stefanos and his parents at their nearby taverna to say hello and get the keys, we knew it would be a great vacation. We were welcomed with cold drinks and plates of delicious food. Stefanos personally took us to the villa, showed us around and answered all our questions. There was a beautiful food basket (vegetables, fruit, olive oil, and other Crete delights) waiting for us as a further welcome. The villa itself is even more gorgeous than in the photos. It is beautifully appointed and each of the 4 bedrooms has its own bath so it was perfect for the couples staying there. The view is stunning - looking out over olive groves and farm land with the sea in the distance. We found fantastic beaches nearby, groceries and great tavernas in local villages. We also enjoyed some swims in the pool at the villa. All in all, a wonderful stay and a huge thanks to Stefanos and his family for so warmly welcoming us!

Moi et mon conjoint avons séjourné 6 nuits au Lotusland et nous avons adoré notre séjour! Nous aimons habiter dans des endroits tranquilles lorsque nous voyageons et la maison de Kostas correspondait en tous points à ce que nous recherchions! La maison est de toute beauté et la décoration est magnifique! Il y a deux beaux espaces extérieurs où nous pouvons relaxer dont un avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes! La Vallée d’Amari est une très belle région ( beaucoup de randonnées à faire). Kostas à été un hôte parfait! Nous recommandons sans aucune hésitation cet hébergement!

We felt very comfortable right from the start and were completely satisfied with the accommodation. In addition to the wonderful terrace with a fantastic view, the accommodation has a very good location. You can reach restaurants, supermarkets and the beach within a few minutes. We are always happy to come back. :)

My wife and I loved our stay. The villa was clean and tidy, it was super easy to get into upon out late arrival as well. Our hosts were easy to contact and made sure we had a great stay. The villa is well equipped with amazing fixtures and fittings. We would happily come back again. Thank you Elisabeth and Kritolaos for being such great hosts.

This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

Nous avons passez des moments de calme incroyable, la villa correspond aux photos. Notez que les occupants de la villa au dessus peuvent vous voir, ce qui nous a pas mal déranger, et que si y’a des enfants dans la maison d’à côté ça enlève un peu le côté seule au monde avec le bruit. Si non c’est top.

Das Haus selbst ist modern, stilvoll und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünschen kann. Besonders der großzügige Pool und der atemberaubende Ausblick über die kretische Landschaft bis hin zum Meer haben uns jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert. Was diesen Ort aber wirklich besonders macht, ist der Gastgeber. Vom ersten Moment an war er unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam – nach kürzester Zeit fühlte es sich an, als hätten wir einen Freund vor Ort gefunden. Ob Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurantempfehlungen oder einfach nur ein nettes Gespräch – er war immer für uns da und hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. DejaView ist der perfekte Ort zum Abschalten, Genießen und Wohlfühlen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

We loved our time here. Recently renovated with care, the house strikes a balance between modern comfort and historic charm. It’s spacious, thoughtfully designed, and finished to a high standard. Located in the quaint village of Gerani, about a 10 minute drive from Rethymno, we genuinely appreciated being outside the city and immersed in the village atmosphere. Gerani has everything you need — a supermarket, great bakeries, and a few solid restaurants — our favourite being Maxis. The village also has easy access to the highway, which made it a perfect base for day trips to beaches and nearby towns, all while skipping the congestion of Rethymno. Damnoni and Kalypso beaches on the southern coast were a highlight. We found everyone we communicated with very nice and easy to deal with. Worth the stay!

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

Wir haben uns bei Diogenis sofort wohl gefühlt. Nach einer verspäteten Anreise war es kein Problem später einzuchecken. Die Kommunikation war schnell und einwandfrei. Der Blick aus dem Schlafzimmer war ein Traum und die Betten sehr bequem. Wir haben alles gefunden, was wir gebraucht haben und hatten eine tolle Zeit in Diogenis Apartment. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! Herzlichen Dank 😊

Unterkunft war sauber und Lage war auch gut. Mit Auto ist man in 7min am Strand, 20min in Rethymno. Supermarkt in 5min Reichweite. Pool war gross , mit Kinderbecken. Aussicht zum Sonnenuntergang war grandios. Die Küche war voll umfänglich ausgestattet! Wirklich ein toller Unterkunft. Wir würden immer wieder hierher kommen.

Smaller than the space appears to be in the photos but clean and well appointed. Danielle, our host, was helpful, a great communicator, and accessible. Great to be able to communicate easily when out of country. The pool is small, good for refreshing only. Be prepared for 3 flights of steep stairs to gain entry.

isla luxary Appartement hält was der Name verspricht. Als Familie mit mehren Generationen hatten wir die Pool- Wohnung gemietet, die sehr modern, geschmackvoll, großzügig und komfortabel war. Die großen Schlafzimmer verfügen über gepflegte, saubere Badezimmer mit genügend Handtüchern. Die Betten sind extrem bequem mit regelmäßig gewechselt Bettwäsche. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung größer als sie auf den Fotos wirkt und hat uns damit freudig überrascht. Wir benötigten für unser Baby eine Extra-Austattung, die qualitativ hochwertige war. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich.Der absolute Traum ist der architektonisch perfekt angelegte Aussenbereich mit hochwertigen, bequemen Mobiliar und gepflegten Pflanzen. Die professionelle Reinigung wird früh morgens durchgeführt und der Pool erscheint stets blitzsauber. Bei Fragen und wetterbedingten kleineren Problemen war Stamatis schnell und sachkundig zur Stelle, so dass wir uns stets gut aufgehoben fühlten. Ein besonderer Urlaub in besonderem Ambiente!

We had a wonderful stay! Felt right at home, had everything we needed, even an orange juicer! The views from the deck are spectacular, we could sit there all day! Lots of great food options a close drive away. Highly recomend staying here!

Η εμπειρία μας στο Doukas White Haven ήταν πραγματικά υπέροχη! Από την πρώτη στιγμή, η φιλοξενία ήταν μοναδική — οι οικοδεσπότες ήταν ζεστοί, ευγενικοί και πάντα πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν με οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε. Μας καλωσόρισαν με ένα χαμόγελο και μας έκαναν να νιώσουμε σαν στο σπίτι μας. Το διαμέρισμα ήταν πεντακάθαρο, πολύ περιποιημένο και διακοσμημένο με γούστο. Είχε όλες τις ανέσεις που χρειαζόμασταν για άνετη διαμονή και ακόμα περισσότερα. Η ιδιωτική πισίνα ήταν πραγματικό διαμάντι — καθαρή και ιδανική για χαλάρωση μετά από μια μέρα στην πόλη ή στην παραλία. Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική, κοντά στο Ρέθυμνο αλλά και αρκετά ήσυχη για να ξεκουραστεί κανείς. Ιδανικό μέρος για οικογένειες, ζευγάρια ή ακόμα και για εργασία από απόσταση. Σίγουρα θα το ξαναεπισκεφθούμε και το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα σε όποιον θέλει μια αξέχαστη διαμονή στην Κρήτη!

Die Gastgeberin Despina ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, die sehr schnell antwortet und sich um alles sofort kümmert. Die Wohnung ist groß und sauber und verfügt im Wohnzimmer und den beiden Schlafzimmern über eine Klimaanlage. Wir können diese Unterkunft absolut empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dort Ferien machen.

We had a lovely 2 week stay at the villa. The view and facilities were outstanding. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend the villa to all families and groups. We were supplied with everything we needed including cots and child safety gates. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and checking whether we needed anything.

Wer einen ruhigen Ort zum abschalten sucht, ist hier absolut richtig! Der Ausblick von der Unterkunft über die Weinberge und Olivenhaine ist atemberaubend schön und das erste, auf das ich mich morgens gefreut habe. Es gibt nichts, was dich hier stört! Die Unterkunft ist hochwertig ausgestattet, sehr sauber, hat eine lautlose Klimaanlage in jedem Wohnraum, tolle Betten - wirklich absolut toll!! Es gibt 2 kleine Supermärkte und soweit ich sehen konnte 2 Gaststätten und ein Café in direkter Umgebung des Hauses. Wir selbst waren im Ort abends nur 1 Mal essen und sind ansonsten immer mit dem Mietwagen unterwegs gewesen, weil wir dort mehr Sehenswertes für uns fanden. Einen Mietwagen würde ich auch dringend empfehlen um mobil zu sein. Vielen Dank, Christina, für diesen schönen Urlaub in deinem tollen Haus! ❤️

Nie mogłem być bardziej zadowolony z mojego pobytu w domu wynajmowanym od Panosa w urokliwym Pompia, Grecja. To było prawdziwe doświadczenie, które zasługuje na najwyższe oceny. Dom był niezwykle przestronny i urządzony z niezwykłą dbałością o szczegóły. Czystość i porządek panowały we wszystkich zakątkach, co sprawiło, że czułem się jak w raju od pierwszego dnia. Ponadto, doskonale wyposażona kuchnia umożliwiła mi przygotowywanie własnych posiłków w wyjątkowej atmosferze. Jestem niezwykle wdzięczny za możliwość spędzenia czasu w tym uroczym domu i z całą pewnością polecam go każdemu, kto planuje wyjazd do Pompia. Dziękuję Panosowi za niezapomniane wspomnienia!

Charming place! Aristeidis and his wife Marina are very polite, attentive and hospitality people! During all our rest they were ready to answer any our questions and give advice and help! The villa is very beautiful and comfortable! It is well equipped with different devices! From the second there is charming view all around! The private swimming pool was very clean and gave us possibility to enjoy private rest! The size of the pool is enough even for the big company! Sakalani is very cosy village with beautiful delicious taverns! There are many different olive and grape farms near the village! The villa is situated only 10 minutes from Heraclion! Definitely I and my family are very thankful to Aristeidis for our wonderful rest and time that we spent on his Vila! I strongly recommend this place for the vacations on Crete!

Lily ist eine wunderbar warmherzige Person, die uns vom ersten Augenblick begeistert hat. Wir wurden super mit Tipps und kulinarischen Leckereien versorgt. Das Cottage und der Garten war sehr schön. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft zu 100%.

The best villa there is. Host were very very accommodating and kind, once of the best people you’ll meet. They gave us a welcoming meal and it was delicious beyond words. We will definitely highly recommend and come back in the future. Thank you again for the great stay. ❤️

We had such a lovely stay at Manolis’ house. Our family of 7 (incliding a 2 & 5 year old & my 75 yo mom) all loved our visit. Manolis met us and gave us such a warm welcome with so many local tips and recommendations. It was even more beautiful then the photos and full od beautiful family heirlooms. The village of Amari is beautiful and peaceful and the villa is perfectly located in the middle of the village right next to the taverna. The views are amazing, the pool an numerous patios are gorgeous with stunning views and it is so peaceful and private. There were so many lovely complementary foods from the local vendors on arrival which made us feel right at home. Rumy cooked us the most amazing meals we had in the region that were so incredibly delicious! Do not miss her meals! She modified multiple dishes for our dietary restrictions. She is truly a masterful chef and such a wonderfully warm person. Our kids loved the home, pool, outdoor cats & Rumy! Everyone was so kid friendly!

We had a great stay in Crete in Atsipopoulo. The location is really great - since Atsipopulo is near the middle of the island, it's just about 1 hour to either Heraklion or Chania. It's also quick to get to the south side of Crete. We rented a car and were able to find parking near by consistently during our stay in May. We were told by other guests that the bus to Rethymo was easy but we don't have personal experience with this. Within walking distance is a grocery store, several restaurants and bakeries. The restaurants are mostly fast food, but just up the road are some great tavernas. Manolis is a great host and responded to all of our questions. Our room was cleaned weekly. We enjoyed our room very much, but what really made us love our stay was all of the common spaces. The rooftop was our favorite place to relax as well as get some work done. There are also friendly cats, which was a huge plus for us.
