House vacation rentals in Kailua-Kona

Mollie’s Paradise was perfect for our family of four. Molly was a wonderful host, very responsive and gave us great recommendations. The house was clean a the kitchen was well-stocked. We especially enjoyed the pool and the quiet neighborhood.

Lee’s home is perfect in every way imaginable. Our family of four had a spectacular vacation. We are already planning our next stay.

We had an amazing time at Joe and Anna’s place! The location was ideal, tucked in a quiet area but still close to shops, restaurants, and everything we needed. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with everything you’d want in an Airbnb. The kitchen had all the utensils and essentials for easy cooking, and the pool was perfect for our kids, especially with the fun pool toys that were already there. Joe and Anna were incredibly kind and responsive, always quick to answer any questions. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. It really felt like a home away from home, and we’d absolutely stay here again!

This home has the most spectacular views, and is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood! Everything looks as pictured and was the perfect Kona coast stay! This was our first time not staying close to the beach on any island and we loved how quiet and low key it was. Non of the hustle and bustle of a resort or beachfront condo. The pool was amazing to have on site! We loved our stay here! Our host was super quick to respond to any questions we had while staying! Thank you for the fabulous home away from home!

Our group absolutely loved our stay. The host was extremely responsive and the pictures don't even do the place justice. We loved the view and relaxing by the pool until it was time to hit the beach. The location is ideal; it is not too far from Kona (8 minute drive) but you feel like you're in a jungle oasis.

This was by far one of the best Airbnb we have stayed. It was spacious, quiet and very well stocked with anything you needed. It was easy to communicate with the hosts if you needed anything. We will definitely be back.

The house, which is very spacious, is located in a quiet residential neighborhood (the only real noise is from the many birds), which is five minutes from a grocery store and some restaurants in Waikoloa Village, and there are many restaurants, beaches, and things to do within a 30-minute drive; downtown Kailua-Kona is 45 minutes, and Volcanoes National Park and Hilo are about two hours (but easy driving everywhere, except for typical urban traffic congestion in Kona). The landscaping is amazing, and the backyard with a swimming pool is extremely private. It is also west-facing, so you get gorgeous sunsets with a slight ocean view (the property is inland). The AC units (for which there is an extra charge) are only in the bedrooms, so the house gets stuffy during the day, but cools off quickly in the evening. We had one minor maintenance issue, but the host, Andy, was responsive and addressed it quickly. We would definitely return if we have a future trip to the Big Island.

Tarek was awesome. Super responsive and very kind. 10/10 recommend his place to stay at when visiting Big Island. House was packed with much needed living amenities (paper towels, board games, laundry facilities). Loved the living conditions I got the chance to stay in!

Stuart's place is truly home away from home. Every little detail so well thought out, you won't find yourself stepping out to stock up on essentials, be it in the kitchen or bathroom. Be it towels, beach chairs/mats or toys, everything is sanitized and available to borrow. Stuart was very accommodating of my request for early check in, which is a blessing when traveling with a toddler. He even had a high chair ready for us. We enjoyed our evenings in the lanai, and I can't wait to be back soon. Thank you, Stuart.

This place was just perfect, close to town yet away from all the noise. Definitely plan on staying here again! George was very quick to respond and a great host overall. The views of the ocean were amazing. We loved waking up and drinking our coffee on the lanai and enjoying the view. Place was comfortable and spacious.

Minh is truly a super host, attentive to detail and to her guests’ needs. She will make you feel at home from the moment you step into her beautifully decorated and fully equipped home. Communication is important to feel relaxed while on vacations. Minh was permanently in touch with us, making sure we were feeling comfortable. When we had problems with the water heater and the ice maker, she fixed them in no time. She even contacted a friend of hers to provide us with ice for our cooler. This friend also gave us fresh eggs from her hens. It was so nice to experience the hospitality of the people in the Big Island! The view of the sunset from the balcony is a piece of art. Her immaculate garden is a treasure. The beautiful color of bamboo in her furniture complements the colors of the sun and brings out the warmth of the house. Minh’s quaint home and hospitality brought peace, joy, and rest to our lives! We came back home renewed. Mahalo, from the bottom of our hearts!

Peter and Lori are friendly and welcoming and their property is truly lovely -- it is evident that a lot of care, effort and thought goes into to maintaining it. The cottage makes a perfect home base for exploring the area. It is also so pretty and comfortable that you just might want to pick up a pizza, watch some Jeopardy and dream about what it would be like if every Friday evening was that perfect :) Thank you so much Peter & Lori!

We can’t say enough about this dreamy stay! Such a perfect fit for our honeymoon on the big island! Jane was so sweet and helpful! Spending our mornings relaxing on the lanai and taking in the scenery was one of our favorite parts of the trip! We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else on a return trip to Kona!

Beautiful oasis with a great beach to walk down to. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we loved that beach! It was so peaceful and the waves were often mellow. It is a bit of a drive into Kona, about 45 minutes. There is a lot to do near the house but to get to white sandy beaches you have to go about 1.25 hours away. The house was great. Clean and open. Neighbors are loud at times but mostly quiet. When they are loud though it is really loud. Overall lovely place and great value.

Incredible place! Beautiful gardens. Walking distance to beach. Great location for day trips. Jill has an amazing attention to detail and the spacious studio displays all of her artistic prowess. It's truly a sanctuary to unwind and chill out. Do yourself a favor and book it for as long as your vacation allows.

Barry responded in a timely manner. He provided excellent suggestions to visit local areas and fun activities. He also provided a detail manual to guide you through all the details of the home and local area. We were fortunate to have met Barry in person, he was so welcoming! Now the house, it was gorgeous! Just as pictured with all the amenities but wow, even better in person!! Extremely clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated and those views! Magnificent sunsets right from the windows every night!!! The home is in a comfortable and quiet neighborhood, it felt very safe. It is also located perfectly to enjoy all kinds of beaches, parks, restaurants, shopping, craft and farm stands. Lots to do in the area!!! Everything worked as advertised. The house worked out well for our vacation head quarters. Easy drivable access to airport and other main roads. Parking was always available. Relaxing backyard with beautiful views.

Our stay in Kona was absolutely amazing! The Airbnb was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to ocean views and enjoying coffee on the lanai was unforgettable. The location was perfect—close to beaches, shops, and great restaurants, but still peaceful and private. Our host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making sure we felt right at home. We’d return in a heartbeat. Mahalo for an unforgettable stay!

This was perfect for our family vacation with our adult children! We loved having morning coffee on the lanai overlooking the golf course while watching the sunrise over the mountain. The beautifully landscaped community is pristine and offers well maintained amenities. The pickleball/tennis courts and one of the swimming pools are just steps from the front door, but it was so quiet and peaceful. The townhouse was ideal, VERY comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully outfitted for our family to cook meals together. The lanai was also ideal for hanging out, reading and playing games in the evenings after days of activities. We also appreciated Jeff had nice quality beach chairs and snorkeling equipment available for our days at the beach. Perfect distance from downtown Kona, kayaking & snorkeling excursions and variety of activities. Jeff and Allison were great about providing suggestions. I would absolutely recommend!

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. It’s very comfortable, large, spacious for a group. We had kids in our group and they loved the outdoor pool area. While at home, we spent majority of our time around the pool area. Noelani provided us with beach chairs, towels, umbrella which was perfect to take to the beaches around us. Would highly recommend this beautiful property!

This is a beautiful and immaculate home. Very spacious and accommodated our whole family for my son’s 30 birthday, I would come again!

The place was very beautiful and well located near all the beach fun. The views and ocean breezes were incredible and my family loved it. We left the windows open in the evening and in lulled us to sleep at night. We explored the rocky beach in the backyard and had fun looking for treasures. Our family will be back again soon!! The house was everything I hoped it would be when we booked this some months ago. The house was big enough for my family with 4 total bedrooms (plus roll-aways if needed) to go with 4 bathrooms. It was also nice to have the extra smaller refrigerators on the 1st floor. The kitchen was well stocked. Great coffee bar area that was well supplied and had the coffee making equipment too. The location was so convenient. I wasn’t sure exactly how far things in town might be from this house, but it turned out to only be a hop-skip-and-a jump away. We also took advantage of the close proximity of Costco & Safeway for any needed items. The hostess, Wendy, was also so great to work with and was always so responsive to any questions. You can tell that Wendy is very detail oriented. The only thing I would have changed — would have been the length of my stay. I could have used 3 - 5 more days here. Thanks for everything!

Very spendid view and beautiful house. Charlie and Ariya are very kind and responsive. The house is at the bottom and it the drive way is very steep, but we managed to drive safely in a rented GMC. Noted that there weren't curtains to block the light, so if you want to sleep till noon, you'll have to wear sleeping mask. It almost takes 2 hours driving to get to the volcano park, and you probably want to stay in a place closer to save you some time. However, I do recommend this place if you are looking for a longer stay. The pool and hot tub are clean and ready to use, and this place has access to a beautiful beach -- you get to enjoy all these if you have more time to spend here!
