There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You can enjoy evening sunsets out on the covered front porch or setup your telescope for some amazing star gazing with no light pollution. The fiber optic connection makes it easy to use your smart devices for entertainment or setup a mobile office to work remotely.

Relax with the family in our conveniently located home. We purchased and remodeled this 1930's bungalow keeping as many original features as possible. What started out as hobby, paired with Gothenburg's need for affordable lodging, has blossomed into a way for us to raise a little extra money for our daughters college fund. We are located just four miles from top ranked Wild Horse Golf Club, two blocks from Highway 30, one mile from Interstate 80, and three blocks from historic downtown.

Relax with family and friends at this peaceful place to stay. The Hideaway at Mahaffie Bay is a 2 bedroom cabin with plenty of outdoor space for fun in the sun. This is a great place to relax on the deck, splash in the lake, take a paddle boat or kayak ride, and enjoy an evening around the fire pit. There is on-premise parking and a boat dock available too. Quick access to the boat ramp at Lakeshore Marina, the walking and bike trail, Nautical Rose....and of course the beautiful lake!

You are within walking distance to three parks, Lake Helen, and downtown. A mile north of town is the Wild Horse Golf Course giving golfers links on rolling hills and wild grasses.

The Shop House

Finally, somewhere to stay in Bertrand Nebraska - Unique property. It is a shop house (or Barndominium). loft-style living room over 2 bedrooms, one bath. Living room seats 12, dining table sits 8+2 at the island. The rest of the building is the owners own space, but can be utilized if there is a need. Options for washer & dryer + second bathroom are available. Great for family gatherings or visits, executive overnights, hunting or whatever brings you to town.

Mama Jen’s Johnson Lake Front Getaway

Relax with the whole family (or friends) at this peaceful, spacious home located in a quiet cove right on Johnson lake not far from the Marina. The home features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a huge dining area with a beautiful kitchen as well as two living-room spaces. The home can easily sleep 10. There are also outdoor dining/seating areas as well as a bbq grill. (We just purchased this home but it was a new build in 2020 & established as a vacation rental in 2021.)
