Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Jackson County

Nice space, in a 10 minute drive to the Shakespearean festival, which we were in the area for. Everything is clean and neat, and would be glad to stay again. Well, pretty much. The kitchen was a weird mix of really nice touches, and then lacking some of the basics, which was a little surprising. For instance, hardly any glasses, and no wine glasses at all, which is strange in a wine tasting area. But some of the shelves were stocked with miscellaneous food and other things, which was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again with four people, but with six people, the living room has furniture/seating for only four people, as does the dining room table. I thought it was a little strange, but not that big a deal.

I’ve stayed at tons of Air BnB’s over the years and Dorothy’s place is one of the best! Any issues or questions that came up were answered promptly and kindly! Beautiful house on a beautiful property. Would definitely stay again in the future.

We had a project to do and the place provided us with a comfortable place to be in between work and we were able to cook meals and it was very comfortable.

Incredibly picturesque location. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, you can’t go wrong here. The property is well kept and has everything you’ll need. Wish I had a few more days to spend here as it’s a gorgeous site. All of our instructors were very easy to follow and check in was flawless. Will definitely look to come back.

A beautiful house with a beautiful view. Myself, my adult daughter and my two siblings who I only get to see a couple times a year as they live in CA got together to spend a few days together doing what we all love-fishing at Fish Lake! We spent our days fishing then went back to Kelsey’s house to eat, drink , play cards and laugh a lot. The house was perfect and had everything we needed including a well appointed kitchen. Even when we locked ourselves out, a quick message to Kelsey and she quickly solved the problem and we were in making dinner. The beds were very comfortable and the shower head in the primary bathroom was a little bit of heaven. I hope to return next year!

We had a great stay, everything you would need for amenities. Cyd was great and we love the town of Jacksonville, so quaint, charming and walkable. The home was accommodating and perfect distance for a walk into town. We will definitely be back.

This is a special place and a special host. The space is light and airy, beautifully furnished and decorated, with many lovely touches. The kitchen was generously stocked. There were even fresh flowers in several places throughout the bungalow. The garden was a delight, with many nooks for sitting or stretching out, and flagstones with little blue flowers in between. Tambo has a special gift for true hospitality. Everywhere you looked you could see the touch of an artist, and a desire for her guests to have a joyful stay.

This house was one of the best stocked rental homes I have rented. The mattresses and linens were comfy. The house was peaceful and perfect for a retreat weekend with friends.

We have stayed in a few dozen Airbnbs at this point, and Jennifer is possibly our favorite host of all. She was so kind, thoughtful, and responsive, including thinking of things for our kids to do and making them feel special. We liked this place so much we stayed there twice in 1 month! The house is great too, especially the lovely pool and the big cozy couch. The beds were comfortable too. The kitchen is somewhat minimal but Jennifer was helpful to get us everything we needed. All in all, a wonderful stay with wonderful hosts!

The setting was lovely with deer at play and a private feel. The decorations were design quality, with each piece obviously selected with care. Also, the kitchen was well stocked and would have served well for cooking (which we did not do). And, Tara and John were great hosts, friendly and proactive with support. Do be aware you will be required to drive up and down from their place to town, a short drive (with beautiful houses galore), but it requires a comfort level driving at night. Well worth the 14 minute drive out of town. The ranch is gorgeous with thoughtful features throughout (fire pit, roping practice, rope swing, seating areas with the best views in mind). We spent the majority of our trip just enjoying the house and space as the entire ranch feels like a vacation! Quiet. Hut tub was clean and warm. The pool was lovely, we would consider coming back in the summer just to enjoy the pool!

What a wonderful stay! Cowslips Belle did not disappoint. We stayed for 10 days, and can honestly say that this was one of our best AirBnB stays ever! It’s walking distance from the hub of Ashland - Main Street, lots of restaurants, & Lithia Park. It’s a beautifully maintained peaceful retreat — all 6 units face a private, lovely grassy area (that our dog thoroughly enjoyed), with a Koi pond too. Our unit —the Lower Unit—was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The hosts are friendly, personable and communicative. Even when there was a temporary water shut-off issue, they let us know every step of the way what was happening, and it was fixed within an hour. If you’re looking for a restful nights sleep, on a comfortable bed, with a jacuzzi bathtub & separate stand-up shower, with a full kitchen, then look no further! We are definitely planning on staying here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ashland and would recommend the trip. We had plenty of privacy and there was a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.

The photos really don’t do the house and surrounding grounds justice. It’s well appointed, with very comfortable beds and furniture and nice linens. The back deck and view of the river is stunningly beautiful and peaceful. The property was country clean, a little dust, a couple bugs, much as you’d expect in the country, but the bathrooms and kitchen, furniture, bed and linens were spotless. I also really liked that they had environmentally friendly supplies in the kitchen and laundry. Host was gracious and welcoming. Also quick to respond if messaged.

The place was exactly as described. It is beautiful and close to where we wanted to be. Will recommend and hope to stay again!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time at Joyce’s gorgeous home. There were 5 adults and 2 children, and the space was perfect for our family gathering. We spent multiple mornings and evenings cooking in the nice, big kitchen. And of course spent evenings outside at the nicely arranged outdoor dinner table. The kids enjoyed walking around the property and swinging on the tire swing below the house. The property is about 20mins from the town but worth the drive for the privacy and quiet. (Bring your bug repellent for the mosquitoes)

Excellent for a medium to larger group. GREAT host!! , service. very responsive and helpful. We were a high school basketball team and this worked out great for our trip and stay.

Our family rented this home for my son's graduation party . The venue couldn't have been more perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone, the views were AMAZING, and the hosts were more than helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice retreat to stay at with family, or if you just want to go for a little R&R with some amazing views. Added bonus- the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in!!

Brian’s home was a great home for our family to use while visiting relatives. The view is beautiful. The AC works great. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We liked staying at the house in which actually the family was living. We felt as if we were welcomed as their family guest. The culture was akin to mine. The artisan wood floor and ceiling made a huge difference on our spirit. Very beautiful house!

Enjoyed a relaxing Thanksgiving with extended family. Great kitchen and multiple living spaces gave us room to spread out. Gorgeous winter views of Grizzly Peak and fun to watch the ducks in the pond. Pac Man machine and pool table were a huge hit. Hosts were very responsive and welcoming. We hope to return!
