Hillside's Rest Nest

When I refurbished the place, my aim was to create a place to relax, read or hideaway to focus on work. Located in the neighbourhood, where all the city life is just a 5-10 minutes walk away and at the same time, it does not feel as city at all as the forest and river walk is just around the corner. I am glad to share it with likeminded travellers and I will be glad to share all those little tips and tricks about places in Cesis, worthwhile to experience - from nature spots to cosy pubs :-)

Small cottage superbly located 10 minutes from Cesis. The place is easy to find and get to (as long as you have a car). We came to see friends living there and loved the diversity of activities on offer, as well as - of course - the sauna when we had a rainy day. We enjoyed our stay at Mariin's place. The accommodation not only met, but exceeded our expectations. We would have liked to have stayed much longer. Those who are looking for a great view of the forest with peace and quiet and time for relaxation are absolutely in good hands here. The apartment was very clean, especially the kitchen! Mariin's recommendations for dinner, bakery and activities are of the highest quality. We will be happy to come back. Wishing Mariin and her family all the best until then and thank you for the wonderful stay.

I had a great time in Erik's house. Such a great hospitality and warmness. that's already 5 stars. if you look for silence it's the place - don't expect a "perfect" tiny house - it needs some work you normally wouldn't do so be prepared.
