A huge thanks for this wonderful stay ! The house was amazingly beautiful and the host was super generous ! Not only did he took us at the station and to the restaurant : he advised us on the hike we wanted to do and drove us to the starting point of our hike ! An amazing getaway in the countryside : a lot to discover around (Kurayoshi, Mount Mitoku, Tottori…) couldn’t recommend more !

The host was very kind and courteous. It happened that there was only one of us, so it was all occupied, so it was great without any attention to the toilet and bath.I would like to use it again.

A wonderful stay in a clean and peaceful home with beautiful surroundings and a stunning view. The house is an amazing old Japanese-style building, full of charm and character. It was quiet and relaxing throughout our visit. The host was very kind and caring, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended!

Stay by the sea, 15 minutes by car to Tottori sand dunes, Guest room, Room D

TonyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area. The host is kind and very responsive. The only minor issue was that the nearest train station is about an 18-minute walk, and you’ll need to take the bus if you’re looking for more activities or attractions nearby.

I stayed for an event in Iwami Town! On the day of arrival, they picked me up at Iwami Station, and I was able to arrive at the inn immediately. The kind and playful Makiko is friendly and hospitable, and the time we spent together was very intense and relaxing. For meals, we had a welcome dessert, tempura, and a breakfast bagel (500 yen). Most of the food was homemade by Makiko, and everything was really delicious!!! The bath was for three girls, and they prepared a butterfly pea bath, which was very relaxing. The room was so spacious (number of rooms) that it was a waste for 3 people to stay. All the rooms were well maintained and pleasant to stay in. I was able to have a special experience of slow life in nature that I can't do in my usual daily life. This time, the stay was short, so there are many other things I want to do at this private home.Next time I visit, I would like to bring a lot of friends and take a lot of time! Thank yal soo much this time!!

Relaxing stay in the countryside by the sea / Simple beautiful nature / 15-minute drive to Tottori sand dunes /

This stay at Iwami's seaside cottage was really great, definitely a highlight of our trip! The homestay is an authentic seaside house. You should be able to see the sunrise in the morning when the weather is good, there are green plants outside the window, only cicadas and sea sounds.Completely away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, both body and mind are relaxed.Sitting in the room and staring out the window is a pleasure. The interior of the homestay is also very satisfying. The floor is really super clean, nice hygiene! The whole house is well maintained, clean and comfortable, making people feel at ease. There is also pick-up service, and some handwritten notes in the cottage are really cute! What's more surprising is that the boss wrote a welcome message in Chinese🥰. I felt warm at the moment I saw it, and instantly felt the boss's thoughtfulness. The boss is not just a Host, but more like a local friend!Although the language was not the same, he still enthusiastically introduced us to many beautiful attractions in the surrounding area. Highly recommended to all friends who want to escape the hustle and bustle and embrace nature!Next time we come to Yanmei, we will definitely choose this place again!
