Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Gîte Shanti

Our cottage is located between the Gorges de L'Ardèche and the Cèze valley in the municipality of Issirac. Issirac is a circular village, located 300 m above sea level on a high point in the canton of Pont-Saint-Esprit with a 360° view of the Cévennes and Mont Ventoux. The village is surrounded by lavender, olive trees, and vineyards. IMPORTANT: The breeding activity was discontinued at the end of 2024, so there are no more goats on the farm at the moment, and therefore no milk or cheese production.

Gîte for 5 in Montclus - Provence Occitane

Bernas, a hamlet of Montclus, perched on a rock, between scrubland and olive groves, overlooks the Cèze valley. It is there, in an old sheepfold, that we created our rooms. The 2 bedrooms can accommodate 5 people, are not interconnected, and open directly onto the patio. Do you like to swim? The swimming pool is 12 m long. Do you like pétanque? The court is right there. Passiflore, bright, spacious, close to Ardèche

Come and discover this haven of peace in the Cèze valley near the Ardèche. The spacious cottage was created in an old building on the edge of a typical village on the heights in the Cèze Valley. The Provençal style has been preserved. The rooms are bright and the volumes under the ramp are pleasant! The 4x9 m shared pool is set back from the accommodation and offers beautiful views of the Cèze Valley. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails with river access.

The 'Puits Saint-André', property with pool

The house is close to the river, shops, restaurants, hills. It has a large living room–kitchen of nearly 50 square meters connected to the 30-m² terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, three toilets (one separate), three air-conditioned bedrooms, and very comfortable beds. The pool, the Mediterranean garden, and the pétanque court are shared with our second cottage located on the property. The house is perfect for families and groups of friends.

Nice little village house in a peaceful environment. All the comforts at your disposal including air conditioning and a king size bed (180 X 200). It is located in the center of the village. 35 minutes from the A7 motorway (exit 19 Bollène) It has a private courtyard as well as a shaded terrace area. Nearby, discover the remarkable village of Montclus, also, the cave of L'aven d'Orgnac, the pretty village of Goudargues, the gorges of the Ardèche… etc.
