Cottage vacation rentals in Isle of Whithorn

We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

Thank you so much Jane- this was one of the most peaceful, restorative places I’ve ever stayed. The birdsong and sound of rushing water was amazing. I loved reading books in the jacuzzi and taking walks around the countryside. It was really an oasis of peace and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have stayed!

For what our group wanted it was perfect not a bad word to say about the place, perfect or group weekend away in the country side just what a place!

We chose to stay here due to its location for walking and exploring the mountains, especially Scafell Pike. The hot tub was a must as we have enjoyed the use of one every year we've been away. The cottage is stunning and the views are beautiful. Everything you need is in the cottage and the standard furnishing is high. Lisa was accommodating as we had 3 hounds. During our holiday we had a problem with the hot tub and Lisa was really helpful, responsive and advised us what to do. We would definitely come back and recommend the footage to friends and family.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place and friendlier helpful host. Kathryn was attentive and was very responsive, always friendly and helpful. This cottage is very spacious, modern and clean. We really enjoyed our time here. We are already planning when to go back. The views from the windows and the hot tub are beautiful. There is so much to do, we needed much longer to explore more areas and go on more walks. We would definitely recommend this place.

Teapot Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was very well kitted out, decorated very nicely, and had lots of nice touches to make our stay even better. Lammisa was a great host - very responsive and friendly, and was happy to help whenever needed. There's great local amenities within walking distance, and several local villages and towns within a short drive, including Ennerdale Lake. The place was very comfortable, with plenty of seating indoor and out, with several comfy beds suitable for a group of adults. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedroom with the bunk beds has very little storage space, so if you're staying for a few days and have a large bag/suitcase - you'll need to find somewhere else to put it! Overall - we were all very pleased with this stay and we'd definitely book again in future.

We loved our trip to Galloway. Very peaceful, beautiful countryside. Lynne’s cottage was first class in every aspect, especially the private hottub! Lynne and Alistair were both very friendly and helpful. Would fully recommend this area and Claunch Farmstay

Fantastic stay at Midbishopton Cottage. Had a well needed relaxed family weekend away. Lots of lovely walks and days out around, topped off by coming back and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings surrounded by beautiful scenery. Cottage was very cosy and well equipped. Can’t wait to come back. 😄

An excellent cottage walking distance to the town centre. Close to pubs and shops. The property was in excellent condition and the welcome pack was very nice. Excellent stay.

David And Victoria was very helpful and polite. The room was a reasonable size, with a wood burning stove to enjoy the warmth of the room and was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommended for anyone travelling to the west side of the Lake District.

Absolutely fantastic place. Quiet yet close to pubs etc, several options. We went out one night but decided we just wanted to enjoy the fire etc after a cold day on Scafell Pike, which is close by. Will stay here again next time we are in the area. Just what we wanted.

Paul's place is stunning. Tastefully decorated. Very relaxed and homely. Comfortable beds and good instructions for appliances. The location is perfect and very quiet. Garden was a sun trap and secuded. Neighbours were friendly.

We had a lovely stay. Cosy cottage with all you need for a short stay. Comfy beds, in a quiet location. Nice walk into city centre, with easy access to countryside. Had a lovely few days at Lesley’s cottage. Communication beforehand and during visit was excellent and Lesley even offered an early check in. Cottage was very comfortable, well decorated and spotless. Kitchen was very well appointed, had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed too Letter left from her dogs to our dog was a lovely touch as was the goodies for the dog and also for us! Entrance was through the original garage, space there was an added bonus, like having a huge utility room for jackets, bags and shoes in wet weather! Garden is lovely and private and nicely laid out. Location great, an easy walk to everywhere in Portpatrick Information folder was full of lots of helpful info Would recommend a visit to Glenwhan Gardens, very pretty, well laid out and dog friendly

Lovely peaceful cottage in beautiful surroundings. Quiet rural area, beautiful garden. Comfortable furniture, especially the beds. Well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed a couple of nights stay here on our way back to North Wales from Orkney. Welcome pack was a lovely bonus - dogs were especially pleased to be remembered. Thanks Dawn.

An exceptional Airbnb. Gina is a great host and the attention to detail at the property is second to none. A real home from home. The views from the property are wonderful. The property is remote, but with that, you get peace and quiet and there is an amazing amount of countryside and coastline to explore nearby. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely peaceful stay in beautiful grounds. Lots of walks on the private grounds including walk to their private beach. Very tranquil and special place. We did a few day trips including Ayr PortPatrick some local areas for nice restaurants. My son loves football and we went to see local town Stranraer play on his birthday and they won. We saw lots of deer and nature everywhere. Children loved the zip wire and there was a games room which we didn’t manage to get to. Kate and Angus couldn’t have been more helpful, lots of great recommendations and wonderful welcome hamper which was delicious and appreciated. Beautiful place and private grounds bigger than expected. We were sad to leave and miss the lovely scenery. Thanks so much for a memorable trip.

Accommodation was booked for colleagues for business purposes. Everything was exactly as described and suited out needs perfectly. Very friendly host and communicative hosts. Would definitely stay here again!

Our host, Karen, was perfect. She was polite, friendly and extremely helpful. Her property was stunning and had everything we needed to be a a home from home. Her particular attention to our dogs needs really stood out. We were welcomed by milk in the fridge, fresh fruit, treats and toys for the dog and a plethora of leaflets books and dining out ideas for the area. Loved the little touches like notes on the OS maps…it really is the little details that count. We had an amazing stay in this beautiful and peaceful property. Creetown had so much to offer in such a welcoming and subtle way, everyone in the community was friendly and took the time to talk about places to go, local history…and even helped us deer spot literally meters from the front door. Perfect week away.

Great place to stay; peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Lovely little cottage, spotless and cosy, garden is a sun trap if you get lucky like we did and stay during good weather days! Ideal location being a short walk to the local pub or drive to the seaside, forest etc. The owner went out of her way to help us with a problem, would definitely come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The position of the cottage was perfect being walking distance from Kirkcudbright while being peaceful. We loved watching the red squirrels from the lounge window. We also had visits from deer and saw lots of bats. Anne was a perfect host and was very friendly and approachable. The only possible downside was the wifi connection which could have been better.
