The place is as described and shown in the pictures. Has an amazing view over Plettenberg and a forest at a very close distance so you can enjoy the calmness and peacefulness it provides. Definitely a place to visit for a retreat from a noisy city. Christine was always helpful and responsive that made our stay even better.

Beautiful house with breathtaking views over Lake Baldeney. The house has everything you need for a good time in Essen, everything very high quality and even personal, which you can't find in every typical Airbnb. Throughout the house you can enjoy music in the best quality, for example through Spotify. Also, the house has a fully equipped modern kitchen with everything you need and even several fully automatic coffee machines. You can grill in the garden with a weaver or relax in your own house which has a heated hot tub and sauna. We had a very pleasant stay. Cedric and his family are very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed spending a weekend on their farm. The alpacas are a great addition, very nice to meet them.

The apartment was clean, spacious and located in the centre of Altena: a bakery almost in front of the house and the castle only a couple stairs away. Everything was beautifully decorated and the kitchen looked brand new. There were a lot of games available and the dishwasher was a unexpected bonus! Two notes: the two-person bed downstairs is not very big, and the couch is comfortable for three people, four if you squeeze (this we knew before hand). The communication with Kai was great. We had a very nice stay with 5 people! I would recommend this apartment! :)

Very uncomplicated host, friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great, very tastefully decorated, with creative solutions for a basement ambience. Anyone who values the opportunity to watch TV should have a suitable account (?) I don't know anything about it. Perfect for tired cyclists!

Alexandra & Maik's cottage is really beautiful. It is warmly decorated and has a characteristic appearance. Everything is available to make you feel comfortable. You can walk up a hiking trail directly from the cottage. Ideal with a dog. Please note the stairs to the living area. Alexandra was very helpful and friendly. In the area you can take beautiful walks. You also have your own terrace overlooking the beautiful garden, adjacent to the forest. All in all a wonderful place to spend your vacation. My partner and I really enjoyed staying at the apartment. The apartment is very nicely decorated and was very very clean! Small touches such as drinks in the refrigerator made you feel immediately comfortable. The location of the apartment is also very nice and quiet. Communication with the landlady was very friendly and accommodating. We could definitely imagine renting the place again.

Already during the arrival, we were informed by the Schröder family exactly how to best get to the accommodation. On site, we were then personally welcomed and briefed on the special features of the localities (shopping, restaurants) and the apartment. The Schröder family was very friendly, extremely helpful and also responded to our requests during the stay. The two-week stay was very pleasant and can definitely be recommended.

Then I stayed with Mrs. Schirp for 4 weeks. 🥰 I'd love to come back.

For us, it was the perfect place to stay as we visited relatives within walking distance. Fortunately, the thoroughfare was closed at the moment, making it very quiet. The shower is very difficult to adjust, sometimes you scald yourself or you are under cold water. This was the only limitation from our point of view. Thank you for everything!
