Fletcher Bay Garden Retreat

This private and completely separate 300 square foot space is located 100 feet behind the main residence. Enveloped by mature forest, you feel as though you are staying in a treehouse. The loft features hardwood floors, internet, queen sized bed, cozy sitting area and kitchenette. Marj's attention to detail and love of vintage finds is evident in the charming and welcoming space. Relax and listen to the water trickling in the pond outside your room. The loft comfortably accommodates singles, couples, children or a third adult. We accept up to two dogs but ask that they not be left unattended in the bnb unless they are crated. We also ask that you keep them off the bed and other furniture. Amenities: The loft comes equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffeemaker, hot water kettle, and mini-fridge and is stocked with coffee, tea, yogurt and granola. There is a comfy queen-size bed and also a twin blow up Serta mattress with an internal pump that maintains pressure at your desired comfort setting. You can work or eat at an expandable table that has two comfy chairs. Internet tv is also provided. Luggage racks and an ironing board are stored in the closet. Fletcher Bay Garden Retreat is located in the center of Bainbridge Island, about 10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. It is minutes from Pleasant Beach Village and the newly renovated Lynnwood Center including the Tree House Café and Historic Lynnwood Theatre. The Village includes fun shops, a wine bar and various restaurants including the lovely Beach House Restaurant. Near and dear to all Islanders hearts, is Walt’s Grocery where you can pick up necessities and sample Walt’s home beer brews and large selection of wines. If you care to venture further, you can visit the Grand Forest, acclaimed Bloedel Reserve, golf courses, quaint downtown Bainbridge Island and the new and highly acclaimed Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Nearby towns include Poulsbo and Port Townsend where more shopping, touring and eating are plentiful. And of course, Seattle is only a 35 minute ferry ride away! Drive on the boat or arrive from the Kitsap Peninsula. If you don’t want to hassle with a car, grab a taxi from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal or ride your bike (storage is available). we absolutely loved our stay at Sue Ellen's! comfortable bed, clean kitchen, and clean bathroom. the backyard that faces the Sound was gorgeous! We were out there every morning and night. She gave us great ideas for restaurants. We weren't disappointed at all. We loved everything we ate. We loved getting to know Sue Ellen and John. They are lovely people. We are already planning our next stay and will be back many more times.

This is a super cute place that has been decorated wonderfully and though it’s a small space, it’s been used well in the way they’ve set up the furniture. Although I’m not sure I would’ve enjoyed staying here with another person because the bedroom isn’t big enough to allow space on both sides of the bed, so one person would be between the wall and the other person, making it hard to go to the bathroom during the night. That likely won’t bother some guests, though. I did have a couple of recommendations for the host to make the space a little more usable, but overall it’s very well done. There is a very busy road one house away and the traffic noise is pretty constant through the day, but not bad at night. Lindsey was so kind and responsive when I needed help, which I very much appreciated!

We were very fortunate that Renee’s property was available for the 4 days we needed. This was the end of a very busy 3 weeks in the US, and the peaceful house with a deck on the water with seals and otters playing was just what we needed to unwind before the long journey home to Australia. Renee is a lovely host who kept in contact to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. So thankful for the opportunity.

This listing was a rare gem! My wife and I had a great time and it was in a beautiful location. Wendy was very responsive and made us feel at home. The hot tub was perfect for soaking in the peaceful surroundings, and the Adirondack chairs were ideal for relaxing and taking in the tranquil environment. It was exactly the getaway we needed.

DJ and Karen's cabin is gorgeous. It's perfect for two people, and it definitely has its quirks, but the view makes up for it. We saw so much wildlife on this trip: seals, otters, bald eagles, deer--magical! We lucked out that the neighbors were not there while we were there--the other house is close and they arrived on our final day to do noisy work on their roof. Not a problem, just know that it's not remote. We loved our stay, but it would have been on the expensive side if not for the million dollar view.
