Apartment vacation rentals in Ilha do Fundão

The place was amazing and beautiful views of the beach. I loved waking up every morning and looking out the windows. The place was huge, clean, and comfortable. The upstairs neighbors were very loud one night making it hard to sleep. But, that has nothing to do with the host and the place. Very close walk to the beach. Getting into the building is very easy. When calling a uber I recommend putting the name of the building in as some uber drivers would go to the park on the other side. The host were very communicative and responded very quickly. Thank you for letting me stay.

The apartment was very nice and clean, with everything we needed. The location was great if you plan to use the public transportation. Easy access to santos dumont, the tram, and the metro. Great for exploring the centro district walking, with some decent food nearby. We had appointments with the US Consulate and the CASV while we were staying. You can easily walk to the consulate and 2 stops on the tram you can be at Santos Dumont (where the CASV was located) The store at the bottom was convenient, the building is nice with 24/7 reception and security and many more amenities. Overall great experience especially if you have business in the Centro district. I would stay again!

No words for Ana's apartment! Modern, super well decorated, everything tidy! The location is also great, in front of the subway and the VLT. Other than that, Ana was extremely friendly and responded to messages quickly. Highly recommended!

Claudia was a delight. The place is gorgeous. The location is perfect, 1 min walk away from station, 5 min walk from Ipanema.

Antônio and Tathiana's place is fantastic. Super-equipped house with everything you might need. Well decorated and with direct access to Joatinga beach, one of the most beautiful in the region. The view is wonderful and Thatiana is a great host. Thank you!

The studio is very nice. It meets all the needs of those who stay, it has everything we need. Wonderful location, we didn't use a car to get where we wanted to go. The Host is very considerate and polite. I will always recommend it and we will definitely come back more often.❤️

We loved our stay. The host has a cafe/ shop opposite which is great for a quick meal or a pint of milk! He also owns a space about the airbnb where he occasionally hosts music / samba / jazz bands play live music which you can watch for free. An absolute highlight from our trip in Rio! Would highly recommend!

I loved the apartment, super cozy, ventilated. Bruna was super attentive and kind from the beginning of the reservation, whenever I needed to ask any questions, she promptly answered us. The apartment is very beautiful, it was very clean and super equipped. I will definitely stay again when I return to RJ. Myself, wife, 2yr and new born were visiting family on the Island. André allowed us an early check-in as our flight arrived at 6am. Although we did not use it, he has a nice allocated car parking space protected within the grounds of the apartment and an electronic key-fob to open the gate. My 2 year old son made use of the swings and slides on the premises which was great. There is a major supermarket 5 minutes walk away where you can get all your food for cooking in the delightful kitchen that he has. We made great use of the oven, microwave and 4 burner stove as we were on a tight budget and this also allowed us to invite family and friends over to eat with us. The fridge and freezer is big. We enjoyed our showers, kept cool with the fans and AC when necessary. The sofa was comfy and can extend. The board games were great and the work space. André was very responsive. We wanted to extend our stay but it had been booked already. We would not hesitate to come again. Thanks André :)

This apartment truly exceeded our expectations. Airy, bright, and impeccably furnished. The view of Ipanema beach is breathtaking. We felt completely safe at all hours, and the location couldn’t be better: steps from the beach, close to everything we needed. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, and the internet was fast and reliable for work. Mario was an outstanding host — responsive, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about hospitality.

Wow, this place was heavenly! Truly a respite inside the city with such unique and beautiful design. The pool was so special to have and the beds extremely comfortable. The outdoor showers just pushed it over the top, we loved our stay so much! One thing to note is that this place is not self check in/ out. You are dependent on meeting up with someone at a specified time to get access into the home or to leave the keys at the end of your stay. I wasn’t sent any check out instructions proactively and had to reach out to ask what to do with the keys / how to leave the place. Other important notes is that there is no grocery store any where in the vicinity. We got by with what we could find at convenience stores but I would strongly recommend coming with food. Lastly the hill up to the house is super steep so you’ll get your exercise but the restaurant Bonde Boca down the hill is SO worth it! We went twice!

This apartment is a little dream, compact in the most charming way. Every detail felt so thoughtful. From the curated design objects to the vintage furniture, everything had soul. We slept wonderfully up on the mezzanine, in the rose-colored bedding, which I really loved :) Waking up to that view each morning made it all feel a little cinematic. Vítor was incredibly kind, helpful, and always just a message away. The neighborhood felt safe, and getting around was super easy. Ubers were always nearby. There’s even a small washing machine for light laundry loads. Truly, this place had everything we needed and more. Highly, highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice apartment, incredible view. Airplanes can be a bit disruptive for sleeping in the morning, so it's good to be prepared for the noise. But other than that, it's amazing.

Very nice apartment! Comfortable, facing the sea! Maria was very kind, she kept our bags on the last day and left us a bathroom until 5 pm free for us, to be able to bathe before taking the night flight! He welcomes you with gifts and mineral water!! Impeccable, thank you for everything!

The apartment is amazing, better than the photos. Very large and spacious, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We like to cook and we loved doing it in this place because of the comfort and the variety of utensils available, from wine glasses to a large number of pots and cutlery. The view is unparalleled, with the beach and sea in all rooms. Dora was an excellent host, attentive, cordial and respectful. The apartment is full of practical and tasteful details. We strongly recommend it.

The apartment is perfect for resting. Full kitchen, with a washing machine and an impeccable view! Easy access to the beach and indoor pool. Pedro is very friendly and made himself available all the time. I highly recommend it!

We had a good experience in this home. Communication with the host was quick and easy. The place was spotless, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We definitely had an amazing time and felt right at home. We would definitely stay here again! 100% recommended.

The place is great and the location is privileged.

The location was exactly what we'd hoped for... On the "main" road directly across from the ocean. The apartment was also wonderful. A bit difficult to find initially but Karla was EXTREMELY helpful / responsive and arrived without any glitches. (Website description could be more clear). Downsides: As mentioned by another guest the mattresses are rock hard. The hardest I've ever tried to sleep on - which meant I barely slept and woke up sore every day. The location is also noisy as the windows are the non-sealing / sliding pane type (common in Brazil) which do not block outside noise such as partying / screaming people, dogs barking, etc. Earplugs solved this issue but the stiff mattresses would preclude from renting this location again. We loved the apartment but a person has to be able to rest/sleep.
