TinyHouse Oasis-HotTub-Bikes-FirePit-BBQ-Projector

SandyRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This was very relaxing and peaceful! The home is beautiful and just so fun to be in. And the outdoor space is excellent with lots of options! We enjoyed a movie on the projector, a hot tub soak in the cool evening and a quiet morning with French pressed coffee, reading, and axe throwing 😊 There are a lot of thoughtful touches like the essential oil diffuser, the coffee and press, the robes for the hot tub and free access to Netflix for a movie. Ivan’s way of communicating is very personal and fun too. In the instructions guide for the projector, he reminded us to not forget the snacks when watching a movie. Little things like that make you feel welcome and at ease. Highly recommend! This was a fantastic place to stay!

Beautiful cabin by Tamarack Resort & Cascade Lake

MorganRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Linda’s place was perfect for our little family getaway! Just know the cabin is not right on the water. If you want to take their kayak down to the lake you will need to use the kayak trolley and walk it down. The yard is beautiful and we saw deer in the mornings and evenings! The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Overall we had an excellent stay and loved the proximity to the lake and Tamarack!

We drove all the way from Houston Texas to come stay at this lovely location! Everything turned out exactly how we wanted it to. The cabin is so cozy, and we felt right at home. The views, the coziness we felt when it rained, the being out of the city. Everything felt like a fairytale, and we can’t wait to be back!

Cheerful 1 Bedroom Cottage, entire home & Laundry

MiaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Lovely house in Twin falls, convenient location, very clean and all the amenities worked well. Stocked with thoughtful add ons like luggage racks, lots of hangers, coffee pods, spices etc. It makes the stay so seamless, we really appreciated it. It has a private off street parking for one car so it is easy to park. Hosts were responsive and the neighborhood is safe and quiet. There is no black out curtains so bring some eye masks but we wholeheartedly recommend this place, its a perfect base to explore Twin Falls and Idaho!

Two Bed Two Bath SouthFork Riverside Cottage

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Our stay at the charming Riverside cottage was a dream! Sitting on the deck listening to the Snake River, watching birds and eagles fly by, surrounded by beautiful flowers and lilacs felt magical. We would walk down to the river for a private fishing spot. Mariko is a thoughtful host who goes above and beyond. The house was stocked with anything you could need or want. I’ve never stayed somewhere with Mariko’s level of hosting and attention to detail. I was very impressed by the level of cleanliness. We never wanted to leave, I could sit on that deck forever. A great place to relax and recharge! We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

Your guide to Idaho

Welcome to Idaho

Laying claim to hot springs in the high desert and rugged canyons that channel thrilling whitewater runs, the Gem State’s diverse landscapes are the perfect settings for off-the-grid getaways. The scenery ranges from rocky to surreal in such notable outdoor spots as the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, Craters of the Moon National Monument, and City of Rocks National Reserve. In central Idaho, the resort town of Sun Valley draws skiers and snowboarders to its famous slopes.

Eastern Idaho serves as a gateway to Yellowstone National Park, which spills into the state from neighboring Wyoming. Rugged adventurers often head to Idaho’s northern panhandle, where the Snake River rushes through remote Hells Canyon, the deepest river gorge in North America. In Boise, the largest city, Idaho’s rugged side gives way to one of the nation’s fastest growing metropolises. While many people know Idaho best for its “famous potatoes,” as the official license plates declare, it’s increasingly popular for its craft breweries and burgeoning wine regions.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Idaho

Idaho’s distinct seasons each have their own draws, with winter and summer ranking as the most popular for their wide range of outdoor activities. For winter action, head to the highest elevations, where heavy snow keeps ski towns hopping all season. As the snow melts in the mountains, spring wildflowers blossom; by May, rushing rivers kick off the rafting season in a place sometimes referred to as the capital of American whitewater. With generally sunny and balmy weather, summer is prime time at natural parks and on hiking trails. Warm weather lingers through September and October, when the changing of the leaves show the state in full color.

Top things to do in Idaho

Snake River Valley wineries

More than 60 wineries dot the Snake River Valley, where a wide variety of grapes grow in the ancient volcanic soils. The valley was designated in 2007 as the first American Viticultural Area in Idaho. Its low profile makes for a more laid-back touring experience. It’s common to find winemakers pouring flights in their low-key tasting rooms, many open by appointment only. Sipping your way along the Sunnyslope Wine Trail gives you an easy introduction to the young Idaho wine scene.

Bruneau Dunes State Park

Hikers climb up shifting mountains of sand in Bruneau Dunes State Park, where you’ll find the largest single dune in North America. Trails trace across the park’s varied landscapes, which range from windswept sands, to marsh, to lakes popular with fishers. The visitor center also rents sandboards, which let you zip down the slopes like a snowboarder in the desert.

Shoshone Falls

In the Snake River Valley flows one of the most magnificent waterfalls in the United States. While you might hear it referred to as the Niagara of the West, Shoshone Falls is, at 212 feet (64.6 m), actually higher than the East Coast’s famous Niagara Falls. Melting snow dripping from the Rocky Mountains make spring the ideal season to see the water thunder over its wide rim.
