Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Hveragerðisbær

Spectacular location, great sunsets and we were lucky to have a great display of the northern lights. The house is very comfortable and well equipped.

Our stay was truly magical. Magnús’s home is beautiful inside and out, and it's location in the Icelandic countryside is nothing short of stunning. We had to content with bad weather during our stay, and Magnús was extremely flexible in making sure we made it safely to the cabin, evening going so far as to allow us to delay our stay by a few days. A perfect getaway for my family. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed spending Christmas and New Year's at Bjork's place. It was warm and cozy, with underfloor heating keeping the slate tiles toasty, a big couch in the living room, and lots of windows to enjoy the views. The hot tub was amazing and we had stunning northern lights one night. The house is in a gated community a couple km off the road, and this road can be slippery, so a 4x4 car or jeep might be a good idea in winter. These same quiet roads were great for walks - not much traffic and wonderful views in any direction you choose to walk. The trash/recycling center handled all sorts of materials - even organics! Bjork was really helpful, going above and beyond to check out holiday hours for grocery stores and help us locate jumper cables. The house is a 15 minute drive to Selfoss (shoutout to Kronan) and 8 minutes to Kerid Crater. Hveragerdi is 20 minutes, with a wonderful bakery, a geopark where for a small fee you can boil an egg in a hot spring.

We had an amazing time at Emma and Oskar’s place. The location was serene and breathtaking. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. The home was extremely cozy, tasteful, and had everything we could ask for. The deck had gorgeous views, a wonderful hot tub, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable and the entire place had a cozy feel. Hosts gave very clear check in instructions which made it a breeze. The home is close to everything you need. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

We had a great stay at Mareike’s place! We stayed for three nights. The surroundings are beautiful and very close to Thingvellir Park. It felt like we were really in nature and the security gate made us feel safe. Hot tub is lovely but very hot - psa to take the cover off a bit before you go in. It’s geothermal heat! Cozy and would recommend. Thank you!

Simple lodging, but great for what we needed. The location is amazing if you are wanting to be within or about an hour of the popular destinations (Reykjavik, Thingvellir, Westman Islands, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss), and about an hour and a half from the Black sand beach.

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

This was the first time we used AirBnB and it was great experience for us due to the great approach and service provided by Sigridur. The whole process from booking, to arrival, stay and check-out was very easy due to the proactive and helpful communication from Sigridur. The property itself was as described, clean and carefully prepared for AirBnB usage. I would highly recommend staying there if you need a base for exploring Reykjavik and neighbouring areas.

We absolutely loved every second of our stay at Eugenias beautiful home. From the gorgeous exterior to the perfect layout to the sauna/hottub/cold plunge with the babbling stream running alongside. Magical! The setting was incredibly stunning and was truly one of our favorite views in all of Western Iceland. Close enough to Reykjavik while still feeling a world away. How lucky we felt to call it home each day we returned from exploring. Traveling as a family of five with three young children (9, 7, 6) we were also grateful for the lovely amenities (legos!) that made our time at home extra enjoyable for the kids. Enjoying a coffee each morning with the incredible views of the snow capped mountains was such a treat as was a night of Northern Lights! We've traveled to many Airbnbs across the world and Eugenia tops the list as the most helpful, kind, thoughtful host we've encountered. Being able to stay in her home felt so authentically Iceland and made for the most memorable trip!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin! The space was spotless, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. It offered the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience—quiet and relaxing, yet close to great attractions and things to do in the area. The host was exceptionally accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in comfort and nature!

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

The house and views were amazing. We had a family of 7 (teens to adults) and fit nicely in the house. The location was great and had close access to a town, national park, crater, etc…. The host was very responsive and the house was clean and had everything we needed. It couldn’t have been a better place to stay.

This rental is on the grounds of a beautiful, historic church, and also very old ancient church, museum and archeological dig! There is also a great farm to table restaurant on the grounds-we had delicious lamb and salmon, kombuchi too. The views are great also. Two large bathrooms. Bring your own shampoo and body soap. Hand soap was provided. Quiet. Comfy beds. Kitchen pans ok but minimal. This is a good location for day trips to Goosfalls, S. Region, and National Park with mid-Atlantic rift. We loved this place and would come back.

Jon’s place was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing! – It was very private and we very much enjoyed our stay in this cosy little cabin. Very well located in the middle of the Golden Circle with a fantastic view of the nearby mountain. It was the perfect location to explore Iceland's beautiful nature - All major attractions of the Golden Circle are reachable within 1 hour drive and with a slightly longer drive you can easily see much of the south. It felt like home from home after a long day of exploring and we loved watching the sun go down over the mountain from the deck. We were also very lucky to have a fabulous display of the northern lights at the end of April! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us for our first trip to Iceland!

The cabins sit on a road away from where reception is, and the instructions were clear to get there. The hot tub does take a while to fill up, since it is filled with geothermal spring water, but it is definitely a must in Iceland. Relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and traveling the Golden Circle was a perfect ending.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places I've ever stayed at! Very easy to check in and felt so cosy and comfortable right away. The best part was the picturesque view of the horses right out the window and how private the house felt even being next door to other guests. Definitely would stay here again - hopefully for longer next time!

Very nice and cozy cabin. Conveniently located if you’re looking to explore the southwestern island by vehicle. ~5min drive to the town of Selfoss for groceries and supplies. The hot tub is a nice addition. A private room for each of two couples and a loft that slept our two kids. Worked nicely for our family.

Hjordis was a great host!! Her place was very clean and comfortable. My friends and I stayed here for a week while visiting sites around the west coast of Iceland. It was a perfect place to have a 2-hour or less drive to everything we did. She always quickly responded to our messages and was very kind. Highly recommend staying here!!
