“I stayed at Fern’s place for 2 nights in order to attend a convention at the Omni Homestead resort. Mitchelltown is a tiny town without any traffic lights right beside Omni Homestead resort in Bath County/Hot Springs. Fern’s place is around 1 mile away from the resort. There is a dollar general right beside, there is a gas station and supermarket in walking distance. You will find food and drink within a mile of distance. Fern has been the greatest host ever. Quick responses to messages, simple instructions, true to the description and very very cooperative. She is caring and has a very motherly kind of love. Fern left me a complimentary bottle of wine and a huge bourbon candy bar in the kitchen. She also owns a massage parlor right on the other side of the street. I happened to know about it and went ahead and got myself an hour of massage. It was probably the most relaxing $65 I spent in my life. If you have time please do yourself a favor and get a massage. I thought I lost my phone but didn’t know where so I texted Fern and asked to keep her eyes out at the massage parlor and she even offered to call the cops and report about my wallet but fortunately I found it. The apartment is very tidy and clean, has thoughtful touch to it. A much larger space than you would find at a hotel. The only thing to note is it is right by the sam snead highway so if you prefer it super quiet at night, you might get bothered by the passing vehicles at night. I played instrumental music throughout the night so it was not an issue for me. Highly recommended for any kind of stay. Hope to visit again!”

“Rodney's spot is a rustic gem, right smack in the middle of some of the best mountains, waters, and woods of West Virginia. It has everything you need to live the good life out in the country, and nothing you don't, and even has some nice creature comforts like a DVD player with some funny comedy videos. If you are hunting, fishing, hiking, or just need to wind down, look no further than Rodney's spot.”

“We really enjoyed staying at Martha's cabin. The interior is clean and comfortable, with all the basics, plus some helpful extras ( a crockpot, a selection of classic movies). The location is very charming and idyllic - the cabin is surrounded by woods and pastures, and we frequently saw deer around the house. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the cute towns and countryside in the area, and Martha provided lots of local suggestions.”
