Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Horn-Bad Meinberg

We wanted absolute peace and a retreat just for us. We found all this in the beautiful forest edge house. It is really in a completely secluded location, the nearest houses are several hundred meters away. Rarely do people walk along a forest path about 100 m next to the house, then you can sometimes hear human voices or horses and dogs, sometimes tractors drive or you can hear forestry work. 90% to 95% of the time we spent there, however, it was really quiet and we could enjoy this wonderful peace that we longed for. The house is furnished with a lot of love for detail, very clean and you can feel right at home there. The furnishings are very high quality overall and nothing is missing. We especially liked the tiled stove in the living room in front of which you can cuddle in the evening. To the rear, the house has a magnificent view over the fields. It's an absolute dream house! We will be happy to come back.

Maria's place is really beautiful and spotlessly clean. Felt right at home upon arrival. Was greeted and shown around upon arrival and Marina was on hand for any enquiries we had 😊 Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes being outdoors due to its location right besides a huge woodland. After 2023, we were finally in this wonderful house for the second time, where you can feel the spirit of over 300 years. We - and also the children - felt absolutely comfortable. In order not to write too much, here is a short list of the many highlights: - very high-quality and thoughtful amenities - Great room layout and perfectly restored original half-timbered style - wonderfully close to nature with river access on the property. You can watch rare birds, deer and raccoons and enjoy almost untouched nature - calm and friendly neighbourhood - a perfect place to relieve the stress of the big city - The stunning Externsteine are close by In short: A perfect place!

Well located small and nice accommodation. Perfect starting point for exploring the area as well as hiking and biking. Description and photos matched the listing.

The apartment is completely beautiful! Modern and high-quality furnishings and it has everything you need. Markus and his family are very nice and hospitable, so we felt completely comfortable during our short vacation in Detmold. We will be happy to come back! P.S.: The only challenge to the location is the extremely steep approach by car (steepest road Detmolds), which is certainly not for everyone (but the courage is rewarded with a fantastic view😉).

Very cozy house in the middle of the hills and forests between Detmold, Lemgo and Blomberg. Apart from Marcus on the ground floor, you have no neighbors and can do your own thing. The individual rooms are individually and lovingly furnished and you will find everything you need, including some opportunities to create a well-maintained noise. I can only recommend it. Dalborn as a pretty little village with a restaurant is within walking distance, the attractions of the area within 15-20 minutes by car.

We stayed at Erika and Wolf's place for an extended weekend. The apartment is well equipped and very clean. We were positively surprised that, in addition to the basic equipment, lunch boxes, games/books or covers for the terrace chairs were also available. The accommodation is very lovingly decorated and also well suited for a longer stay. Communication with our hosts was friendly and timely. We were on site with the bikes and were able to reach sights/supermarket easily. Small tip for guests with bicycles: If this is announced in advance, it is possible to lock the bicycles. We will be happy to come back!

We stayed at Viktor's place for the 2nd time and can highly recommend it. Everything is available for what you need and the spa, as well as some shops such as Aldi, etc. are within walking distance. Almost right next to the apartment is a playground, which my 3-year-old daughter found really great.

We had a nice stay at Renate's apartment. The apartment was beautiful and modern, very spacious and sparkling clean! Renate was easily accessible for questions and was quick to respond. The surroundings and the view from the terrace were also very nice.

Beautiful place. Very well kept! Easy to get to and from the city. Enjoyed my 2 weeks there.

I was there for two weeks to "work remotely" and for a little time out to visit Birgitt and her family. From check-in to check-out, everything went great. For the greeting, there was even a great bottle of white wine. The equipment lacked nothing. Birgitt was always immediately available (for me via signal). I was able to park my bike in the garage without any problems and got my own remote control for the gate. A small supermarket can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. The area is beautiful, I did a few really great bike tours through the forests, on the Emmer to Weser. But you should be aware that it is hilly. Dear Birgitt, thank you again to you and your family.

The apartment was just great. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Everything you need was available. The contact with the hosts was also very friendly and they always responded quickly, and they were also very helpful.

We found this great apartment of Ingo and Melina at short notice for a spontaneous weekend trip. The location of the apartment is uniquely beautiful, quiet and surrounded by a great landscape. The apartment itself was super furnished and clean. All as indicated. The communication was very friendly and uncomplicated. We felt right at home. That's why we give a clear recommendation. It is a very nice apartment where everything you need is present. Cozy decor and neatly clean. Netflix on the TV that allows you to log in with your own account. And good beds. It is in the built-up area in a quiet location next to a reasonably large lake. Lots of space to let the dog out or swim. And within walking distance of Bad Lippspringe, which you can reach via a beautiful route through the park. In Bad Lippspringe, there are a few restaurants and various shops. Beautiful hiking trails in the area. About 20 km away you have Detmold, a very nice town with many restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful week and will definitely come back to Valentina if we come back to the area.
