Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hocking County

We rented this cabin for our 10th wedding anniversary. It was perfect for our weekend d getaway and delivered what we were looking for...relaxation and peaceful. The cabin itself was beautiful, then add in a hot tub, and a great space for a fire pit and game room in the basement! We will definitely rent from Jon again in the future!! 1000% recommend this cabin and renting fromJon!

Great place and great experience…will definitely look to find one of the other places that were up the hill further that looked nice from our location to stay at.

We stay in lots of different places and this one by far has been the most relaxing and romantic get away for a weekend… only regret is we wish we got more nights.

We went here for a quick weekend trip it was stunning and clean we had so much fun it’s not too far away from town we visited the child’s museum and got to see all the ice sculptures we ate at yummy places this was just what we needed check in and everything went pretty smooth ! We have zero complaints!!!! Thanks a lot for an awesome experience

The space was so peaceful, loved drinking coffee while sitting on the front porch swing! We went to hocking hills early spring and the pole barn was perfect for our family, especially during colder weather and rain! My kids loved the activities in the barn and games in the house. The covered porches/hot tub/ pole barn make this location perfect for any time of year. The kids even caught a fish in the pond! Close enough to enjoy all of the typical hocking hills attractions! The house was not fancy, but had MORE than everything we need and was exactly as pictured! We had an awesome time! Thank you!

We booked super last minute and were thrilled that Cherie’s cabin had an opening for our exact dates! We’ve been to Hocking Hills many times, but this was our first time at this property. The weather was very mild, so we were able to enjoy the porch and our three kids (7, 5, and 1) loved trying to fish, playing board games by the fireplace, and exploring! The living space is cozy, the kitchen well stocked with anything you might need, and having three separate bedrooms was a big bonus! The location is also pretty central to all the major hiking areas, which is great! We loved everything about our stay and highly recommend booking with Cherie!

My family had an amazing stay at Nick and Bethany’s cabin. The house was spotless, comfortable and private. It looked exactly like it did in the pictures. The location was perfect. It felt secluded yet it was close enough to restaurants and activities that the Hocking Hills area offers. It was nice to have functional pots/pans and a good weber grill for once - a rarity for Airbnbs. The only criticisms we had were that the bath towels were a bit small and there could have been some extras (there might have actually been extras but we couldn’t find any). Also, the hot tub jets didn’t work as well as we thought they could have. It seemed like it had a hard time keeping temperature. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives. We will definitely consider staying here again!

This was such a great adventure. I couldn’t fit it all in words in the book, but here I can!! Me and my best friend had a B.L.A.S.T. This cabin felt so homey, and it may look small from the outside but boy is it roomy on the inside without feeling crammed in. This was such a beautiful home, and beautifully, yet simply, decorated. The pamphlets in the drawers were so helpful. We ended up renting UTVs for an hour or two and that was such an amazing experience as well. Everybody in this area is so friendly and welcoming. THE DONUT SHOP NEXT TO THE HOCKING HILLS DINER IS AMAZING BTW. We stopped by Lake Hope(recommended by our UTV leader) and also visited the Adventure Pro Outdoors store, which is a great place for souvenirs, or any camping, fishing, or even kayaking supplies. And this isn’t even the beginning of stuff to do around this area. The stacks of pamphlets we found was crazy. The hottub was amazing with such a pretty view, lots of room for parking, and spacious!! We’d come back!!

This cozy little cabin was just the getaway I needed! I particularly enjoyed my evenings by the fire pit, taking in the view. The shared kitchen/ bathroom area was well maintained and had everything I needed. Breakfast and lunch I prepared ahead or made at the airbnb, but for dinner I enjoyed, Maya Burrito and Millstones BBQ. Also within distance to Hocking Hills and many other state parks!

We really enjoyed our friends stay the host went above and beyond and it’s so pretty and piece in the hollow we really enjoyed ourselfs!!! Thank you for the nice note and snacks everything was perfect

Great location near all popular hikes while also being private, peaceful and secluded. Loved the fire pit, grill, porch swing and hot tub. The couch in the living room pulls out as a futon and was perfect for Netflix movie nights with lots of pillows. Would recommend!

Peaceful and quiet cabin with beautiful surroundings. Hiking trails and the park are very close and easy to get to. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit. Fantastic weekend!

We enjoyed our stay at Liberty Ridge. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch and the well appointed kitchen made cooking family meals easy.

The cabin is gorgeous and surrounded by the forest, it feels like a fairytale when you look out of the windows. It is peaceful, private, cozy and had everything we needed and more- the kitchen is furnished with everything we needed to make food, we relaxed in the tub after a long day of hiking and being rained on, it was so nice! The cabin is 10 minutes drive away from Ash Cove, and Walmart and Kroger are about 30 minutes away. I loved this place and would love to go back!

Absolutely amazing great host, beautiful view and relaxing environment

Great location and very peaceful. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The pond is stocked. The keys would not work on any of the doors so a staff member came out and helped us get in. I would recommended sealing the deck since there are a lot of paint chips. We noticed there was a lot of dog hair under the sofas(we didn't have a dog).

We really enjoyed our stay here! The pool and hot tub were a huge bonus. The drive to most main hikes was between 25-30 minutes, so the location was ideal. Would definitely stay here again!

The carriage house was extremely nice and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it if you are staying in the Lancaster area

We had a wonderful weekend stay with 4 adults (2 couples), 3 tweens and 1 senior. Everyone had plenty of space and the cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check in/out is at another location about 15min away for the key, and there’s a nice little shop there too. Communication was easy to follow. Pool and hot tub were great activities, big private yard to run around and had a great bonfire for s’mores. We’re hoping to make this an annual family tradition!

Overall, this place was GREAT! There was plenty of space, and it was very peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We stayed as a group of 7 (my wife, our 3 kids, and 2 adult friends), and it never felt crowded. Pros: Spacious, private, a nice pond nearby, great pool and hot tub, and a comfortable patio area to hang out. Cons: The beds were a bit loud and on the less comfortable side—not a deal breaker, but worth noting. Also, the couch and chair were broken when we arrived. They probably just need an update, though they were still usable and fairly comfortable. Despite a few minor things, the overall experience was very positive. We'd definitely stay here again!

I have rented many modest cabins in Hocking Hills, and Fullbrooks stands out—everything we needed it to be. Great: well-appointed kitchen (sharp knives, sugar, salt/pepper); several outdoor spaces; super clean (including hot tub); clear stargazing (Milky Way); private (not secluded); comfy furniture throughout; extra towels, TP, paper towels, dish/hand soap; shocking lack of bugs*; dog-friendly (our big pup relished the free range—within easy view). Okay: 20-30 min drive to most HH attractions; patchy media (could connect phones to wifi, but even after resetting the router, couldn’t connect to Netflix/cast to TV from our phones); off-site check in/out added ~15 min x2 to our drive. Tips: Bring back-up matches for a fire and your own napkins. To those mindful of plastics/PFAS, the kitchen has only scratched up nonstick cookware; bring your own pot and pan, as well as a container to collect recyclables to take home. *1st Choice sprays for bugs, including bees. Poor pollinators. ☹
