We have set check-out by 2 PM so that you can enjoy your stay. It is a private room in a renovated traditional house on a property surrounded by trees, located on a stone wall where two rivers converge. There are no buildings in sight, and you can enjoy the sound of the river, the sound of birds, and a sense of unity with nature. The water is spring water (water quality has been inspected). Depending on the season, there are people who come and go along the river next to the inn, aiming to play in the river and go to Kappa Falls. If the weather is good, you can enjoy playing in the river, as well as a BBQ and campfire (depending on the season and weather, you may need to refrain) with the ingredients you bring. (Please be careful when handling fire.) Rest assured, we also have cookware, a microwave, and dishes. If you walk upstream along the riverside path, you will find Kappa Falls about 150 meters ahead. Please prepare food and drinks for dinner, etc., before check-in.(It's about a 20-minute drive to the supermarket) Only the 400m section to the inn is narrow and difficult to see, Once you arrive at "Camu Tsubaki-yama", we will show you around.

We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. Main bedroom has 2 beds, a big closet, working space and another Japanese style room has two futons. The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can use it for a long stay without any inconvenience. There is a wood stove in the living room which is available in winter after receiving instructions from the host. The host lives next house, but of course will not disturb you unless guest's requests. Our 花hana is located at the foot of Mt. Aso, so we coexist with the wild animals and rich nature.

The house was built in 2005 but the first floor was partially renovated in October 2024. There is an outside deck that has panoramic ocean views. Bedding is one queen, one double and two single beds. There is also a futon mattress if needed (not super comfy). The house is in a residential area so refrain from making loud noise especially after dark. Being surrounded by nature near the ocean, you may occasionally encounter seasonal insects outdoors, particularly around lights at night.
