Hotel vacation rentals in Hikkaduwa

This was genuinely one of our favourite places in all of Sri Lanka. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful with a stunning view of the lake and just the sounds of nature. The room is very luxurious, from the big comfy bed to the beautiful bathroom with a hot waterfall shower, it was perfect! Madhu’s hospitality was expectional, we were so well taken care of and felt at home right away! We had dinner on the terrace by the lake both nights and it was the most delicious and varied local food we’ve had! The breakfast was also fantastic! One of the highlights was when Madhu offered for us to borrow her paddleboard of the lake where we went round the lagoon at sunset and saw lots of widlife! A truly exceptional place, would definitely recommend!!

Place was very good! Breakfast was not included, but was very tasty. Beer is cold in the fridge ;)

The stay with Igor and Michele was just nice. It is quietly located, the pool and the many seating areas invite you to relax. We had breakfast together and the whole atmosphere was super friendly and familiar. We would definitely come back and recommend it 100%.

I stayed at the place for a week and was very happy with everything and can and will recommend it. You have a wonderful view and are surrounded by nature, you can hear the chirping of birds and you can smell the smell of cinnamon and relax in peace. You have a spacious shared kitchen where you can cook at any time including dining area. Since I am dependent on good and stable internalers due to my online business, I was very pleased that the internet was sufficient for this. The contact with the host family was very warm and you feel welcome and everything is done to help you and the food was fantastic. Thank you very much for everything, I will be back.

At first - super fast communication with host. It makes everything much easier! Thanks for that. Everything was good at the end, just a little minus - when we arrived at evening pool was dirty. Also on next morning there was varan (big lizard) swimming - but our kids will say that it’s a plus :)) After we asked about the pool it was immediately cleaned. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was really great. We recommend this place! No worries about the pool we swim and everything was good :)) Beautiful view!

If you are looking of an oasis and an awesome hideout away from the busy streets of Hikkaduwa you found your place. Traveling can get exhausting, chanakas place is perfect if you feel like staying at home, reading and enjoying some private life in your cabanas. The design is quite unique and one gets the feeling of being at home, as soon as Faust welcomes you.

The hotel is located on a rather quiet beach where you can both swim and surf. The staff was very friendly, the room clean, the bed very cozy and the view from the balcony really nice. At breakfast, we would have liked a little more variety.

Everything was great, 5 minutes walk to a very quiet stretch of beach and definitely walking distance from all the bars and restaurants in Hikkaduwa. The staff also organised a delightful lunch in a neighbouring home, they very sweet and the food was delicious! I would definitely stay here again!

We felt very comfortable with Magda and Domi. The two welcomed us in a very friendly way and gave us good tips for the area. The room was beautiful and very clean. The common areas were very spacious and there was nothing missing. The pool was great and we spent a lot of time in it and around it:) and our daughter also loved the trampoline. All in all, it was the most beautiful place to stay in Sri Lanka.

Without a doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed! From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The villa itself was absolutely stunning, the service was incredible. The location was so peaceful and tranquil (a bit out of the way from the busier spots, but that’s what we wanted) we practically had a private beach to ourselves, our own sunbeds and the food served by Rukmal was amazing, he is such an incredible chef! Would 100% recommend, if you are thinking of booking, do it!

Just as beautiful as the pictures! Ruwan and the whole team at Kaju Green are super friendly and helpful. The grounds are amazing, food was delicious & we were blessed to get a free upgrade to the eco lodge that included the bath. Also the free tuktuk to turtle beach was soo helpful (we saw a 100 year old turtle on our visit) everything about our stay was perfect! We only stayed one night and we wished we had longer to explore the grounds, truly gorgeous!!!

This place is so beautiful and looks just like the photos! It’s right on the beach and the the sound of waves is just so beautiful! You wake up to the most amazing view from your bedroom. Totally reccomend it. It’s on the main road and very easy to find. You can walk to the local markets and restaurants or take a tuk tuk. Will surely come back again!

We enjoyed our stay. Our host and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The space is very serene, and the location is perfect - not far from shops and restaurants but at the same time quiet and peaceful. We felt very welcomed and very well taken care off.

Perfect accommodation in Hikkaduwa. This place is quiet and the views are incredible. Area around pool is now more overgrown than in the picture. Our host was very helpful.

Great place to stay for long time. Reasonable prices and value for money. Super clean rooms and swimming pool. Owner Lakshitha is nice and super helpful. The kitchen is eqiuped with all the items to cook by ourselfes. The breakfast from the shanthi boutique villa was more than expexted. Overall a super experience. Love to stay more on this place.

We stayed in Shanil's place for 6 nights. We were greeted by Suranga and his team immediately after arriving we received a cool coconut drink and felt right at home. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Suranga and his team did an excellent job. Especially the food was fantastic, the chef did an excellent job. One of the best Srilanken food we had in our vacation in Sri Lanka. We had breakfast and dinner as well. The even provided our kids with western breakfast. We felt welcome from start to end and didn't want to leave. Hopefully we are back. The house with the 2 double room and the separate house with the family room is well set up and gives each guest his own privacy. The location is great with the beach and the ocean right in front of the house. With a 15min. Tuktuk ride you are both in Mirissa and Weligama. Thank you very much for having us.

We absolutely LOVED staying at NETS. The room was beautiful and clean and the common areas were comfy. The pool was great to use on a lunch break. The co-working space was brilliant, easy to access and you can book separate rooms for meetings. The staff were amazing! We had such a great stay at mates villa! It’s a gorgeous space, and we loved using the pool and enclosed yard every day. As it’s newly opened, the rooms, kitchen and overall property is in pristine condition. Really good value for what we paid and would love to stay again next time we visit. Special shoutout to the hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming, and even helped us book a taxi to our next destination. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Jungle. We stayed almost 3 weeks. The rooms are classy, the view is amazing, and the location is convenient to all the shops. the staff are professional and very polite and helpful. The sand on the beach is lovely, light, and soft to walk on. The ocean here has fantastic bug eaves you can watch. Its fun to wade in but dangerous to swim a lot of the time. Great for boogie boarding. The food was great and the restaurant service was impeccable.. thank you to all the wonderful staff for allowing us to feel right at home.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and you could tell they worked as one team. This place became a true source of warmth and friendship for me. Every evening, they asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day. When I got sick, they brought me plenty of tea with lemon without asking for anything in return. They organized a whale watching tour at a price lower than other excursion providers. I felt completely comfortable and safe.

We stayed a week at Slow Life boutique hotel. It felt very safe and contained . Our room was lovely upstairs with a little balcony ,air conditioning and our own bathroom. Everything was very clean our sheets and towels were changed . The common area was available but when in the hotel we spent more time in our lovely cool bedroom. Marissa was interesting to explore . The southern end of the beach was a lot calmer to swim in. It was great watching the surfers at the northern end of the beach . The only thing that wasn’t available was facilities to cook our own food . But that was fine as there were so many lovely places to eat in Marissa. Our hosts organised a scooter for us to use . Thanks very much for everything.

The place is really nice! In total, there are four rooms that share the open kitchen and pool. There was always fresh fruit and water to take. Also, especially the "guard" should be mentioned. Both day and night, someone is available on the property and always available for questions. We were really positively surprised by that. The location is good: you can walk to restaurants. However, you're even more flexible with a scooter. We were really very satisfied and had a good time. Looking back, we found the place quite expensive compared to others (but still quite okay!)

Thanks to Sergii for his great hospitality. The property is very new and close to the beach. His recommendations were really good. Our cab was delayed by 3 hours and he extended our stay, for that I would like to thank him. Great host. Great location. Worth the price.
