Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Highland County

We enjoyed the getaway while preparing for our wedding. The solitude was very much needed.

We loved staying at Mammy’s Memories so much we can back a second time. Very cozy well equipped house for cooking and recharging after long hikes with our dogs at Dolly Sods and Seneca Rocks. Hope to be back again next year!

Our stay at The Black Horse Farm was excellent! Everything was just as described and even better than the photos! Very peaceful setting and private as well. I have been traveling to the area since the early 80s and this was our first stay with Darrel and Cindy, but it won’t be our last!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay and was regretful it was for only one night. The views with the full moon was breath taking , 360 views and fireflies at night with a bench swing outside! Inside had everything you needed for a goodnight sleep. The bath tub we didn’t use because it could have been a bit more cleaned from a prior stay but otherwise we loved it. It has a nice rustic charm, nothing overly fancy. The absolute star of the show is the property and how well maintained the grounds were! Check in and out was very clear!

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful, lots of hikes around, groceries not far. Large house, comfortable for bigger family, enough plushy towels, great clean hot tub, and well stocked kitchen. Aleksandar communicates well, though we did not need to reach out for anything. Def need 4x4 to come up, our Rav handled it well. first night took us a while to find the exact house, but was easy if you come with daylight first time. thank you Aleksandar. hope to visit again this or another property of yours.

The perfect getaway for our time adventuring in the wild and wonderful. The home was PERFECT. The amenities were top notch, spic and span, and thoughtfully arranged. We had an amazing time and we highly recommend this home to anyone who needs a peaceful and fun getaway. Thank you, Jennifer et al!

Trisha & Derrick’s farm is located in a valley in the Appalachian mountains, not far from Shenandoah National Park and the WV border. It’s a beautiful and peaceful property inhabited by farm animals, two easy-going and very sweet dogs, and their young family. Trisha, two of her beautiful children and their dogs greeted us when we arrived. We got to learn a little bit about their animals and make friends with their dogs and pigs. The Washhouse is a cozy house on their property. It’s quite spacious on the inside, insanely clean, and decorated with love and care. We felt right at home. We only stayed one night but we’d definitely stay there again.

A wonderful, well-appointed home. In perfect location for riding Greenbrier River Trail and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Great location! Only a few minutes walk to Wildcat Grocery or the Village. There was a spot to put snowboards and boots. The place very spacious and comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

Bryan & Heather were awesome hosts to work with. Very prompt with responses to questions. Their place was exactly as described and very comfortable for my husband and I. The views getting to the condo were amazing!!! It was very peaceful with only a few people around since we stayed off season for skiing. We would stay there again if return to the area in the future and their condo is available. Thank you again Bryan & Heather for sharing you condo. *Note to others considering this condo: Heads up; winding road up the mountain with many sharp turns could be a challenge in stormy weather.

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The photos and descriptions are accurate. Accommodations were superb for hosting our large family. Amenities were also great (ex., fire pit). A bit remote, though we would definitely stay here again if the opportunity comes up.

Carol was very responsive and the condo was exactly as advertised. We loved the 60 second walk to the hot tubs and being right in the heart of the village. Would stay here every time I come to Snowshoe.

Beautiful view, great space, and close to downtown Staunton (10 min). The host is very responsive and accommodating! We were sad to leave and hope to return soon for a longer stay. Highly recommend!!

Donna‘s place was exactly as described! It was just what we are looking for in our weekend away. She even had a basket of goodies for us when we arrived, which was completely unexpected-but very much appreciated. There was a basket of local flyers for us to look at to help find local sights to check out and a fun library of books for all ages and interests. We would definitely recommend this Cozy Cottage apartment!!!

A wonderful time. The land is beautiful and peaceful. The cabin is in great condition. It looks better than the pictures I think. Being able to walk into the National Forest is the best part. Be prepared for an uphill climb if you want to journey deep into it.

This place was perfect for our family trip to visit Smoke Hole Caverns, see Seneca Rocks, Ride the train at Cass, and do the Green Bank tour. It was clean and well appointed. The sleeping arrangements, full kitchen, and having 2 full bathrooms made it great for our large family. We hope to return.

It was a beautiful stay at Olin’s Ridge! While there are other properties around, the driveway is quite long and secluded, giving you perfect privacy. The firepit and hot tub are amazing, as is the view from the large pond and many other nearby areas. If you’re looking to disconnect, it’s the perfect spot. With Verizon we didn’t have much, if any, cell service in the area, but the cabin had great WiFi. There is a small general store down the road for some necessities, but Staunton is the best (and cutest!) nearby area. The bed, pillows, and blankets were comfortable and we enjoyed using the grill. Not to mention, but hosts Jacob and Holly are great! I would highly recommend Olin’s Ridge for any couple or small family looking to spend time away from the city.

We loved our stay. It was comfortable and clean. The fire pit was a huge perk. Also loved the porch!!

This three bedroom cabin is simply perfect, clean, spacious, well equipped and nicely maintained. The private setting on a sunny, grassy knoll among the Virgin mountains is splendid beyond all description. The sunrises and sunsets are glorious and the dark sky star gazing is amazing. The host is friendly and easy going but very proactive and responsive. This was our second time visiting this cabin and we greatly enjoyed our stays and are already planning for next year.
