In the afternoon, take the kids across the street to the incredible Blowing Rock Elementary playground. In the evenings, retreat to the front porch to reflect on your day in the comfortable outdoor furniture and enjoy a beer while listening to music on the lawn (from May to October). A small but inviting front yard is surrounded by a hedge for privacy. Sit under the apple tree in a double Adirondack lounger to maximize your time away or fire up the on-site propane grill for a cookout. Idle Speed- The Ultimate Lake Lure Escape!

As of now, Lake Lure is not expected to be open for boating and/or swimming by summer 2025 as lake recovery and cleanup efforts are still ongoing. However, our home is good to go and ready to host. We have just reduced our rates and minimum booking nights to reflect the expected conditions. The house remains a wonderful place for gathering and creating memories. The lake and mountains are still as beautiful as ever. Thank you for your continued support of such a special small town.
