Vacation rentals with a patio in Heworth

We had a lovely stay at Earl’s place for the weekend - great base for the wedding we were attending! Great location with lots of restaurants within walking distance and super hosts who left so many little touches - especially the cake, thank you!

Really lovely little bolthole in tbe perfect position to explore York on foot. Quiet and peaceful at night. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable inside the property. Would definitely recommend, and would not hesitate to re book a second time, thank you.

What a find! Absolutely perfect for our three night stay in York. Secure parking with EV charging and we didn’t use the car at all once we’d arrived. 45 minute pleasant walk to the centre or bus stop literally right outside the door. Also got an Uber back after a night out and was less than £8. There are local pubs and shops within a few minutes walk too. The place is exactly as shown in the photos, absolutely spotless, with comfy bed and good quality bedding. Carolyn is an excellent host, great local info and perfect level of communication…providing all the information and responsive to messages but also left us in peace :)

Great location and host. There was everything you need in the kitchen from milk to honey. If i go to York again I'd definitely stay in Jane's annex.

Catherine is the ideal relaxed host. (and a baking angel, thank you, Catherine!) The apartment was large, bigger than we expected, and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal for our weeks stay, lovely peaceful surroundings, but easy drive to a great shopping centre with good park & ride into York, also 1 hour access to Whitby, Harrogate (Harlow Carr), Rievaulx and Fountains.

We had the best stay. Shelia responded straight away when I txt her to say there was no tv reception and she sorted it very quickly. The scones were delicious as was the jam and cream to go with them. The whole flat was so cosy and comfortable. Parking was very easy also. Very close to Knaresborough town centre and a good walking distance away. You can adjust the heating very easily if cold. I would 100% stay here again. The stairs to get down to the flat are quite steep so just be weary of this if you struggle with steps but I have MS and I managed without too much trouble. The bed is also so comfortable. My husband had I had a great night sleep. 😀

Lara’s place was lovely and very easy to get too. On arrival we parked outside the property which was a bonus and was greeted with a lovely chocolate cake and a bottle of Prosecco. We loved sitting in the garden of a morning and an added bonus was the summer house! The easy walk into York took around 20 minutes along the river. Such a beautiful walk. Highly recommend! Really friendly and accommodating hosts. It was so peaceful, the location is really lovely! Felt like a cosy little retreat! I mentioned it was my husband’s birthday and we were greeted with a lovely cold bottle of white wine which was such a lovely touch! We enjoyed it outside in the sun listening to the birds. Everything you need in a stay.

Lovely quiet cottage tucked away with its own sunny courtyard. Ideally located for York, The Yorkshire Air Museum and the University. The pub and the village shop are an easy 5 minute walk and plenty of food/entertainment options available within easy driving distance. Used the handy OS maps provided to do some walking and biking. The cottage was nice and clean with everything needed available and working. Nice and friendly host and highly recommended for 2 person accommodation.

Great house so close the city centre

Lucky to come across this little Gem! Visited York for our 4th wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere on the outskirts and something that felt like a home from home! This was the one! Great communication on booking, when we arrived the ease of getting into the property was fantastic, lovely decor and details. Good space for us and our 19 month old! Very welcoming with milk and fresh bread for us, and a to die for lemon drizzle! Yum yum! The house was very clean. We requested a cot and high chair which were provided with ease. The bed in the primary bedroom was like lying in a cloud!! Made for a great nights sleep! Good communication with Derek when there was a slight issue with the hot water, the issue was resolved quickly. House is in a great location with a short drive to York itself. We did a lot of exploring in the area and would love to come back as there just wasn’t enough time to see it all! Thanks for being super hosts!

Sule’s place was spotlessly clean, with everything you could want for a trip to York. It was an easy stroll along the river to the city. Sule provided lots of hints for places to go for meals & drinks prior to our visit. She even got in touch during our stay to check on how we were enjoying our time and if everything was ok with the accommodation. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in Sophie’s place. The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable. It was also well situated for exploring the delightful city of Ripon and the surrounding area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shambles Secret. Jenny proved to be a first class host, who went above and beyond to make her guests happy; we cannot thank her enough. The flat was exactly as depicted in the pictures, lovely and cosy and a real home from home. We slept really well, and although the flat is right in the centre of York, it was remarkably quiet. We enjoyed our time in the flat as much as we did sightseeing in fabulous York. Shambles Secret really is right where you want to be, EVERYTHING was within walking distance. Really great stay, apartment was exactly as listed an was perfect for a famil stay over the weekend. The rooms had air con which made a big difference comfort wise. Location was great, an easily walkable into the centre, with great views of York Minster. All instructions and interactions with Rebbeca were great. Would happily recommend this for someone looking to stay!

Absolutely stunning property with everything you would need for a stay away already in place! It’s just as it looks in the images, very spacious, absolutely stunning bathrooms and full functioning kitchen with all the cutlery and dishes you need! Loved the guest book with all details and instructions for our stay! Can very much tell the host has a lot of attention to detail! Every part of the space was so well thought out, aesthetically pleasing, whilst also being highly functional! I will definitely be looking to book again for my next trip to Harrogate!

This is a fabulous rental. It is beautifully appointed inside and spotlessly clean and tidy. It’s in a very quiet spot with verdant outside space and close to the buzzy pub and restaurant scene in Headingley as well as being within striking distance of Leeds city centre. Jo could not have been more helpful in terms of accommodating us and making us feel immediately at home.

We had a lovely stay. The property was small & cosy with everything we needed. Great location just far enough to be peaceful but easy to reach the centre of Knaresborough & the waterside. Chris gave great recommendations for local food & drinks & we loved the Mitre for food & had a great night with live music in Track & Sleeper just next door. Loved the view from our bedroom window, we saw a deer & woke up to the birds singing! The staircase took a bit of getting used to 😀 but I loved it!!
