Nestled in nature, in an idyllic forest edge location with breathtaking lake views, this chalet allows you to escape everyday life. Hike in the forest or by the lake and enjoy a bike ride with our e-bikes. When it's cool, warm up in the sauna or heated pool before settling in with a glass of red wine by the fireplace. In the warm season, enjoy a swim in the pool or in the crystal clear lake (SUP/kayak are also available) before watching the stars in the evening.

Living in a farmhouse

You will stay on the first floor of the newly converted farm building of an old farm. Large garden with paddock and 3 horses on a small stream. Don't be afraid of free-range chickens and our herding dog Jule. There is a bookable sauna and a small swimming pool. Seating area with fireplace in the garden free of charge. Cost for sauna is an additional €15 per sauna session for 2 people only by arrangement on site. Walking with the horses can also be booked.

Private apartment in a 400+ years old castle. The historic building is in beautiful condition and is surrounded by 10 hectare of forest. It is located 1 hour by car to Frankfurt am Main in the middle of the "Nature Reserve Rhön". 2 double rooms (1-4 people), a living room, small kitchen and bathroom. Alte Färberei Runkel (up to 30 guests)

The Alte Färberei in Runkel is a self-catering guest house. It is rented to only one group at a time. Up to 30 people can stay in the house, 16 in beds and 14 in the mattress dormitory (mattresses available). The Alte Färberei is perfectly suited for family and friend gatherings as well as for seminars and corporate events, with a minimum of two nights.
