Fantastic loft studio. Comfortable, great value, and perfectly located in Bishops Stortford. Absolute no-brainer for Stansted Airport access (10 mins!). Simon was a superb host, always available. A truly great find!

The Loft was the perfect place at the perfect time for me. Attending a training at Clophill Centre for Complementary Therapies 10 minutes away, I didn’t feel up for camping, instead wanting to retreat somewhere quiet to rest and integrate. This is exactly what I found at the Loft. The bed was so very comfortable, windows open with bird song and no other disturbance, it was idyllic. Thank you for the thoughtful additions like breakfast goods and toiletries in the bathroom. Freshly ground coffee, olive oil and mixed herbs on hand. I didn’t use them but they were noted as welcome considerations. If I’m ever back in the area in need of a quiet, restful place to retreat to, I know just where to come!

Large Private Room With En-suite. Entire Floor

What an amazing stay! I felt right at home! The loft has everything you need and more! From cutlery, to shower gel., microwave, coffee, corn flakes, fridge, hot water — you name it, they have it. So the stay was very comfortable. Any Geraldine was very accommodating and such a lovely person to speak to and hang out with. We got very close in such a short time! It was just such wholesome experience.. Kevin (her husband) helped me many times with my luggage going up and down! And my luggage was EXTREMELY HEAVY! And they were always willing to help and go out of their way to help me. I think they give you space when you need it and are friendly and available for you if you need it. So I think it’s totally up to you if you wanna chat to them and spend time or you are also free to just be on your own and in your own space and come/go as you like. The space upstairs is very private and you got your own private ensuit bathroom etc. I will 100% return!

Prime town centre location, two minutes walk to numerous shops, bars & restaurants, ten minutes walk to the train station with great links to Stansted Airport, London & Cambridge. Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge and microwave included but there is no actual kitchen. There is a parking space next to the garage which is usually available. Should this not be free, there is pay & display parking opposite.
